I could see a rouge Charizard/Salamence ex deck being playable in the future. Charizard could accelerate energy to both it and Salamence (like the Dragapult/Charizard deck) and the salamence could either be used to spread damage to all of your opponents’ benched Pokemon, or as a big attacker in the middle game so it could OHKO Pokemon exs since Charizard’s attack isn’t high enough to fully knocked them out yet.
I'm pretty sure that the release blurb for Journey Together said that there would be "more than 40 trainers pokemon" in the set and we've only seen about 30 so far. Unless they were including trainer cards in that total.
Instead of N and Hop getting more cards revealed, Lillie really needed more. The numbers are N- 10 cards, Hop- 13 cards (14 including pincurchin), Iono- 7 cards, and Lillie-5 cards. Of those 5 cards, she has 4 pokemon and an item with no stadium like the others as well. Of all the cards, N and Hop also have 2 SARs, Iono has 3 (ones the promo), and Lillie has.......... none. And with the continuous line of regular pokemon SARs, the window for her to get even one is closing very fast. Its just super noticable at this point. And given her deck is a rondo deck, it almost seems like you have to use it with terapagos/area zero for more damage.

@@manuelvasquez2432 I think because there's not many other good letters. D is Dark, R is Fire (F is Fighting) G is Grass So you are left with A, O, or N. I assume you don't want to use A because that would be confusing "a {A} energy", so that leaves O and N. From those two, I think whoever does the coding just prefers single letter consonants, so they choose N.
If they are running Pincurchin ex and Zacian ex, the deck will be too clunky for a Sandaconda line. So Crown Opal is kinda free for they only have so many Boss/Dubwool
Run the Salamence ex with Charizard ex since Salamence uses mostly fire and colorless energy. Salamence can soften up opposing benches and let the late game Charizard ex power through even easier. Just play 1 or 2 water energy to also get the 300 damage on command if you need it.
@aS__Spencer don't need to prize setup Salamence, you can hit the 300 button as soon as it's powered. Salamence has the early game power, Charizard has the late game power.

Even then, the Charizard deck also already plays 3 different stage 2 lines as is in itself, Pidgeot ex, and Dusknoir, so adding a fourth just feels like it'd be more inconsistent than it's probably worth. Also bear in mind that if you want another stage 2 attacker in the deck, there's another Charizard ex from the 151 set that has a similar attack to Salamence's second attack, but it's arguably a better option since it doesn't require you to add another stage 2 line to a deck that already runs 3, and it deals more damage while also not needing to add another energy type to the build, and despite this, it's still not getting played in any optimal Zard lists right now. The only real reason to play the Salamence is for it's first attack, and while it can hit multiple Pokemon at once, you can also use Fezandipiti ex for a 100 damage single-target snipe on something instead. If it were up to me, a tech that people are overlooking right now (in my opinion) is Gouging Fire ex, which has the benefit of not needing to evolve, and I can see people maybe considering it after rotation because we don't have Radiant Zard anymore. The long and short of it -- I personally really don't see the appeal of Salamence ex in Charizard right now
I have an expanded deck with the 1 prize salamence that does 220 if oponent's active already has dmg on it, so with munkidori and alakazam already in the deck that salamence EX seems like an easy fit.
I wish they would give us a vs seeker so stuff like pokemon center lady would be more playable. Maybe add the text of it being stuck in discard after being discarded? Nerf it some but make 1 of supporters stronger.
If they gave the hop archetype to any other trainer I’d love it lol. I literally just hate hop and his pokemon are so lame imo😂That zacian literally jus feels zacian V without the ability but better attacks. Hop decks bouta plague the format it’s gonna suck

Maybe Team Rocket's will be my bet this semester
SUPER good for Expanded though! It makes crafting a meta Regidrago VSTAR list nearly $100 cheaper, as it has the exact same attack as Mega Rayquaza EX, which was quite expensive and hard to find. It also has a good spread attack, so it becomes a direct upgrade for the deck.

I could definitely see accelgor being used with Pecharunt. Two energy for 70 plus 70 more in poison (Pech+jungle)

Or run it with Baxcalibur and only play 2 Fire, so you can power Salamence up turn after turn
