    I think with the organic traffic point, they mean if your website is in a good momentum with raising stats and traffic, it can help to rank new articles. We all know sometimes when google start to trust your website you can rank a bit easier new content

    ~12:00 I think you have misunderstood the fundamentals here. One URL can rank for a number of keywords. If that URL is ranking for 10 keywords and is getting a high CTR for 7 of those keywords, google may think it’s worth giving you a slight edge up on those other keywords as well. That is how URL organic traffic can influence ranking. Same for domain. So I can see how organic traffic could be a ranking factor! I believe this specifically is one of the items uncovered in the ongoing antitrust case.

    I still need to watch the video completely, but I have questions. What are your thoughts on Google Search Generative AI? Will it affect SEO Experts and Freelancers? How would we SEO when Google's AI automatically generates the answer? What are your though on that? When are you going to make a video on it? Your video will be outstanding, as every one of your videos is outstanding. I'll watch it later, but please answer my question. Thanks!

      If it goes live, it will have an impact on organic CTR. It's hard to know how much, but you should lower your traffic estimates when planning campaigns. I'll definitely cover it soon

      Thanks, I am waiting for a video on this topic. According To Matt Diggity, it won't disturb the SEOs as it will take time to generate answers, whereas people want quick answers to their queries. Let's see what happens. I've been following your SEO Website and RUclips Channel from 2015. I loved watching your videos and reading the articles, but I have never feared anything in these past years. Still, the Generative AI is continuously adding fears. Let's see what happens. Please make a video on it soon. Thanks!@@nathangotch

    Curious why linking to the semrush report in your video description would tank your RUclips channel?

    • @masonsingleton3037
      @masonsingleton3037 6 месяцев назад

      Anytime you include an external link in your video description, RUclips lowers the video distribution because they want you to stay on the platform. It's better to include links to other applicable RUclips videos.

    Regarding the ranking in images - I remember in one of your videos (SEO for 2024) where you said that if SERPs have an image pack then this would be a good indicator to rank in google images to help with occupying SERP real estate so maybe this is what they had meant

    The bit where they say about url and domain traffic, I think they mean if you have a good ctr then you will rank better. Like if your page is let’s say on page 3 or lower and compared to other pages your title is more appealing to the searcher and gets more clicks than others around you then your rankings will increase and of course if the content is good and shows google a good viewer experience then yeah, rankings will increase. Their wording is not the best though. Good/great ctr with good user signals will increase rankings .

    They didn't include a significance test for the correlations. Unless I see that, I'm going to assume most of these were due to random chance.

    An interesting question is whether Google’s search algos use the same NLP api that tools like Surfer use. Google’s uses a ML NLP neural engineer and transformer (BERT) for their own use and it is unlikely to be the same API available to seo tools. So I wonder how much of the NLP data recommendations are simply correlation rather than causation. If Google’s ML NLP data is fed through neural engines and transformers it’s highly likely not the same data NLP that the tools recommend.

    Great content, but I have a question regarding your point for "content age" I watched your 2024 SEO for beginners which is 1 month older than this video, and in there you pinpoint how it helps your seo/rankings etc. to update your older content with adding to or rewriting an article, changing out the images to updated and new images etc. but then is this video your saying it doesnt really do anything.
    So I just wanted to know, what is it? Does it help or does it not? Or to be more specific, is it worth the time and ressources to change it, for the reward it might give. 🙂

    I love your review on Semrush ranking factors! It was very helpful. I don't know if I understood right, but can very niche sites outrank big websites because of relevancy even if their DA is low? I have a cooking site. Does having the name of the main cuisine you write about in your URL help you rank? Or is it okay to have a broad name (i.e. Cooking with Kayla) as long as you have lots of content (topical authority) about that cuisine? I worry that I picked a broad name, and I have heard changing your site name can have an impact on DA and rankings.

      Thank you! Hyper-focused websites do work well because they're highly relevant. But even then, you'll still to focus on link acquisition to grow site authority. If you're trying to build a brand, then go with something more branded. While keyword-rich domains work well, they aren't always the best option for long-term business goals

    Wait why would linking to the article cause you to lose visibility on RUclips? Honestly don’t get it. Can you explain please?

    • @nathangotch
      @nathangotch  6 месяцев назад

      Platforms like RUclips want users to say on the platform, so linking out might causes suppressed reach.

    but how do we acquire good links without paying is the dilemma. I don't have the budget for it. I try to write for Qwoted and the like, but I never get selected. It's actually quite stressful as a newbie to be told to do this but you can't do it without a budget unless you have other tips for us?

    I’m kind of interpreting the ranking because of organic traffic as them trying to say that you have authority but to list it like they did doesn’t make much sense. But getting traffic makes google give them more traffic I guess.
