Lesley, you live in God's country!
Their lives are so pure. It's a treasure to observe.
If only us humans could live so simply and be happy, eh?
Spectacular vid, as usual! The music is so bright and optimistic. Please know that you give us so much joy and comfort. Thank you!
Great peaceful feelings come to me with your videos, thanks!
I feel the same way...time just goes by and I don't even realize it.
Your lovely birdies videos bring such warmth and bliss during these uncertain times. ♥️ Thank you so much Lesley!
When my oldest son was 12, he called a great horned owl out of our woods. I was sooooo astonished, I didn't get a photo - one of the great regrets of my life. But, the memory will never leave me.
It was dusk. And we could hear him Hoo-Hooing.
He came gliding out of the trees on completely silent wings.
He landed on a branch about 30 feet from us!!! He then spent a full two minutes checking us out as we gawked at him in awe. Then, he gracefully lifted off the branch and swooped down over our heads to get a closer look!
Incredible!
when i was a kid my dad listened to bird calls and whale songs on records. these sounds are so relaxing to me still! 💖
Spectacular photography, Lesley!!! I have many swamp owls by me so I hear crows going crazy a lot. Now I understand why!! LOL. I’d love to be you for a day. It must be awesome to do this. Your videos are always a must watch!! 👍❤️
Great Horned Owls are great, but Below Average Horned Owls are more relatable.
😆😂🥰👍🏻

Great way to start my day., especially with all this COVID-19 scariness outside. What a treasure to have a Gray Jay on your hand! And to see the owl, so beautiful. I love Yellow-Rumped Warblers too, great shot of him.
I love that you’ve given them names!

Wow! This is truly amazing and beautiful. What a kind soul you are.
That was a great video 😍💖. I really loved all the different sounds the Blue Jays made. Then being able to see the Great Horned Owl was great. I can't believe how big they are. Thank you for sharing your 🐦 with us ♥️.
Another fun and interesting video. Owls are just incredible to me. So many different types and abilities. Thanks again, you are a natural Lesley!
I think he picked up that sound you never heard before from you. It sounds like your voice, jay-reinterpreted. Our parrots do a version of my husband’s and my voice that are like that.
I thought the same thing! It makes me smile to think of Lesley's buddies copying her voice, even if they're doing it while fighting. 😉 Great video, Lesley, and congrats on the GHO!
You truly understand birds! Life peace beauty
Thank you for these videos. I have a passionate love for and interest in birds. I learn so much from you.

Beautiful birds - thanks for posting.
Literally stumbled upon this channel on RUclips whilst watching my bird feeder in southern New England... and half the birds you talked about where in this video! 😝🤘
Lovely video Lesley! Thanks for sharing all the birds with us.👌👍😎JP
Nothing compares to the gaze of a great horned owl! My first encounter wasn't at all like yours.. I was in Colorado Springs when one landed on the stop sign i was at. I stayed and watched him for awhile. Turns out he was stalking a cat, which the owners found in time to save him from becoming bird food. I was in awe, telling everyone I saw about it for days..
Gosh what an excellent video. It’s lile you live in the garden of eden. I could watch this all day. Thank you.
I love the blue jays that I feed all year round. They really love the peanuts I feed them in the summer and fall. In winter and spring they are fed a mix of seeds. When I walk out my back door they gather in the trees directly above the house. There is one jay who has very few feathers around his neck making it look a bit scrawny. I've named him Henry. Thank you so much for such a wonderful video.
My wife and I have enjoyed your videos for sometime, recently subscribed to your channel. My family lived in Bucens back in the early 1960's. Thank you!
I love all the corvids especially but those Eastern Jays with turquoise blue and navy are spectacular-live in CA now we have bratty crest less hooligans with their own charms🌝
Birdnerd you make my day w every video!😊🤗
Awesome photography of the owl. It is always such a jubilant feeling when you spot a species of bird you haven't seen before. As always, a wonderful video. I like to put your videos up in our waiting room at the vet clinic where I work. Clients always seem to enjoy them.
Oh my gosh. No way. That's is so nice of you to put my videos on in the waiting room. Wow. Thank you very much. I truly hope people enjoy it. :)
Just discovered your videos. Wow, the music (nice and subtle with periods of quite), the photography and the narration. What a wonderful experience - motivates me to take time to sit on my back deck and watch the birds.
Love my blue jays. Thanks for the good vid.
Real cool Lesley! I saw and photographed my first Great Horned Owl not too long ago as well, at one of our Toronto parklands :) Sure made my day.
Here it is I found it: imgur.com/xyW4UXC

Beautiful pictures and informative
Hi Lesley,
Nova is a brave mumma!! Loved seeing the sweet video of Blue and Sweet Girl feeding their babies. The first thing that came to me when I heard the cry at 8:45 was how much it sounded like a kitty of mine from years ago. She had a high-pitched "double-meow".
Those shots of the GH owl are beautiful. I chuckled at Hatch - probably telling you all about it "You should've seen how BIG this guy was! And Nova tried to scare him off too! It was craaaazy!"
💕😚💕 Alli
I love all ur videos.... the blue jays at my house are now molting new feathers they are bald and beautiful....anyways thanks again!
You are the best! Thank you!
Such excellent videography! -- We get yellow-rumped and black-and-white warblers coming through down here in Georgia. Love them! -- Glad you got to see the owl!
13:30 That's a beautiful shot with the lighting on the rough wood fiber with the moss.
I walk in the small patch of woods near where I live and I think of you.
I love your videos so much! Thank you for sharing ❤
I imagine none of the birds liked seeing the great horned owl. Nice shot of it, and nice seeing the hardwoods starting to push their buds
Black-throated Green Warbler singing at 10:06. A sure sign of summer approaching. Amazing video!
Good ear. Love their little song
I could make out 4 babies! I loved how the great horned owl was sitting calmly as the crows and jays were making calls to alarm others. They look so magnificent! Thanks for the video!
This is wonderful!! Thank you!!!!!
Strange... we had a robin who mostly got along with everyone including all the jays back when I was allowed to have a feeder. All dozen plus species got along fine, even with the chipmunks and squirrels. There were a few harsh words exchanged but that rarely happened.
Someone complain and spoil all your fun? There's always gotta be one. 😏
Tripod or not, wife & I are in awe of the quality of your presentations. On predation: Yes, it can be tough to favor one animal over another when everything is eating something else. We have a fellow birder in town (Cathartidology on YT) who favors Turkey Vultures and is learning about them quite rapidly.
Thank you for all you share here. Oh, You want us to send you one of the kittens in our videos?
Omg the owl! He cant sneak up on anybody🤣🤣🤣
Wonderful! 🍃🦉🍃🦅🍃🕊🌳
Really great footage Nerd! 👍👍👍😃✌️
Great video! So awesome and adorable how you’re blue jay friends you’ve known for so long like blue and sweet girl have babies that you can see in the nest with the parents and stuff. The new jay was cute too!! As was the warbler and the gray jay and.. well, I give up, there’s too many to list- they’re all adorable though! 🥰😍😊
Lesley, you are amazing - what a gift you have, not to mention patience!! I have to believe that anyone who dislikes your videos must be trolls. What's not to like???
Beautiful job Lesley!
And yes very relaxing!
Class AAA as always
🤓🤓🤓 Most enjoyable
I never tire of witnessing what wonderful parents these birds are
Very sharp owl spotting eyeballs
Thank you for sharing you modavate me to go out in the woods 🤗I saw four little heads pop up
Lesley, this is the best quality production! This is one of my very favorites so far! Thank you!I love your lovely, calm voice and all the information that you share. Even the graphics and the music that you choose are outstanding! The way that you identify the birds to us by their nicknames adds so much to the video. The horned owl was such a special treat! Angel and Mini Tim are favorites of mine. The gray jays remind me in form and personality of our Florida Scrub Jays. To me, your videos are more enjoyable than most nature specials because yours are so personal and include just as much interesting information, plus amazing camera work. I’m sorry if I just go on and on, but I really can’t thank you enough for the quality of your work and the fact that you devote so much time and effort to it. I wish I could impart to you how much it enriches my life to join you in your beautiful woodland walks with your amazing birds. Thank you so very much for every video you have produced! ❤️😘
Happy video
Hola Lesley😃I also have noticed a new visitor to our back yard trees an amazing 🦉 owl I have not spotted yet because only comes at night time almost around 2:35am every night I heard when is hooting it makes me feel like we are living in the woods 😃My wife started feeding the birds with sunflower seeds and I guess the one that birds drop attacked 🐭 mice and the mice atrackted the 🦉 owl😃
There used to be a Great Horned Owl couple who lived at my apartment place a couple years ago. They moved from the woods nearby only for a season, and then moved back. I think the neighbors, the crows, made them leave.
Pretty exciting! Your owl-less days are over : )
Great video and great storytelling. I love how the Jays are similar in appearance to the Jays we get here in the UK and have very similar markings on their wing coverts but they are still very different.
I live in the Rocky Mountains. I used to let my orange tabby, Pete, out on my back deck alone. Until one day when he was out there I heard the Magpies raising a real ruckus. I went right out, and there was a huge Great horned Owl sitting about 30 ft away on a pine branch staring at my cat. That was the last time Pete went out without me escorting him... Another reason for me to love Magpies.
