I'm just about to buy an Audi A5 3L V6 that amongst extras has a B&O sound system with Dolby 5.1 surround sound compatibility. After watching this video I now can't wait to get my car later this week! I bet your video really doesn't do it justice :)

How does the Bang and Olufsen system put out bass? I have heard by many reviewers it lacks bass. Is this true? How does/ would it compare to Dynaudio 362 per say?

Wanb Jab211 You are bad Bang and olufsen has enough bass it's powerful and contundent. But I feel that it can lack in vocals or mids,and the treble could be too high. But the sound is detailed and punchy.
One question please, you have a direct experience with this. What exactly do I need to do to check and to be 100% sure whether I have a real bang and olufsen sound system or just the standard one, because I suspect the previous owner has changed all the standard speaker trim covers to the ones with chrome circle bang and olufsen trim covers. I guess both of the systems sound great and I'm just so curious, but do not want to be fooled that way. Do I need to remove the covers and check the speakers itself or via vcds or via mmi. Is there any way to check it properly, sorry I'm new to this.
open media, go to sound options (lower right) and check if you have a DSP (BANG AND OLUFSEN) option on your MMI. If you do, you have that system on your car. You can also check the amplifier you got, it's on the trunk behind the left cover. It's easier than messing with the covers and risking to break clips just to see if what sound system you have.
listening to different music apps, the sound is different for all them, i feel that i have to change the bass, treble, 3d sound, etc for each app, kind of annoying. Any advice?
Farzad Ghorbani hi Mate, I've got the Bass up at around 3 Quarters of the way up, I would adjust it to what ever app you use the most for Music and you will get the most out of it.
I tested my audio system that includes aftermarket 4 component speakers, amplifier and 12inch high power subwoofer while the engine is off for like half an hour but never killed the battery.
Getting one of these with B&O. First thing gets played is Metallica Enter Sandman

Mine has 14 speakers, and each one costs about £200 or $240 to replace.

Why do you need to turn the engine on to test the audio system? The engine noise ruins the audio quality.
