well tbh Johnny Cage had one of the best character development ever in gaming history imo..he's too underrated
Scorpion doesn't seem to understand why Johnny says that he understands him.
Given the threats they face or have faced he understands what's at stake if he fails, if anything he's reasonably terrified of the same happening to him so he works as hard as ever to protect his family.

@@yapyapthedestroyer2562issue is that the game dialogues just assume its young Johnny Cage that Scorpion is speaking to.
If NRS actually cared about that detail, you could have the young Johnny exchange like we see and then a scene with old Johnny and Hanzo empathizing with each other
@@hk1371 oh yeah, forgot most of the intro dialogue is of young cage, with few lines of older cage. Honestly would’ve been nice to see older cage and hanzo having a empathy moment in one of their intro dialogue’s.

I mean do be fair, even if they were still enemies Sub-Zero would still respect Scorpion's loss. You can acknowledge your enemies' pain but still have be committed in opposing them. I mean in war we can all understand the pain and loss both sides go through but still go on killing them.

See this is what I love about video games, they manage to have the most intricate and complex characters and as we play and grow alongside them we start to comprehend and understand what they feel and go through and sometimes it reflects upon our lives
Then after such visibly displays of rage, grief, and guilt, they fuckin beat the shit out of each other.

since the lin kuei became evil after bi han’s deal with shang tsung, kuai liang creates the shirai ryu. after a series of events, hanzo becomes one of the first shirai ryu. since the title of scorpion is taken, he’ll have to be somebody else
What’s sad is that Scorpion wouldn’t have guarantee family return because Raiden had to ask for the elder gods permission to make the Shirai ryu again that’s what makes Scorpions saddest for me especially in mk9 and the comics.

In the original timeline the elder gods gave his clan back but with the sick twist of them being zombies. Probably would’ve been similar in the 2nd timeline too.
