Thank you for sharing!
OMG that is a funny looking cookie and I have got to at least try making these. 😮 🙂
love your crocs
Your shoe are Adorable!!!!
Good storage info👍🏻
Those are beautiful !
Love these! I was good this time making them and let them cool completely on the parchment paper. Then they peel right off! No spatula needed. Thank you. Most other recipes call for cooking the sugar and butter together first and also use flour. Since I’m gf, I like yours without flour. Besides, I’m one of your followers.
Wonderful!
I'd break 'em all...easy cleanup! Love ya Leslie! Stay healthy!!!!
Sounds delish!
You are the sweetest person I just wish we live closer to each other I know we would such good friends god bless you and your s

As for the "imperfect" cookies, of course you need to get rid of the evidence 🤪
Trying to watch this video but my eyes keep going over to the picture of your Cranberry Oatmeal cookies! Lol!
To anyone that has not yet made these cookies...you have to make them. They are so good!
The only problem is it is impossible to eat just one! I'm am going to be as big as a house and it's all the fault of The Farming Pastors Wife....LOL LOL

Those are the best. A former coworker gave me the recipe back in the late 80"s. Brings back great memories of backing these for Christmas parties and the kids. Enjoy the cookies and have one for me. God bless and have a blessed weekend .
The cookies look delicious. I’m going to have to make these. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I’ll have to go get some tins to store them in. I hope y’all had a great Thanksgiving. God bless y’all.

I feel like you're my best friend. You talk and explain things just like I do "You know, this thing, not that". I love it and followed exactly what you were saying. Thank you for the recipe. I've been looking for new Christmas cookies and I'm going to try these. So excited.
WOW....I have been trying to figure out the name of this cookie for years and how to make them. Thank you so very much...you made my day. God bless you and your family 💗💞💖
This lady is amazing. A southern legend.
Awe, thank you Beka!!
I made them, they're amazing and easy. I added whole seeds to the top before baking too .. thanks for this amazing recipe.❤
I would Love to make these “Lace Cookies”!! I want to eat some right now!! Lol 😋💗
Thank you so much for this recipe. It’s one of my favorite cookies. And now I can make them. God Bless you !!! 👍😎👍❤️❤️😋😋😘😘. My cookies wouldn’t have a chance to get soft. Lol. That’s how quick they would go.
Love these cookies. I made them once many years ago and sat the beautiful plate of cookies on my dining room table. I went to the phone to call my husband to tell him about the wonderful treat waiting for him. I turned from the phone to admire my creations to see our Lhasa apso puppy devouring them. Lol I’m much more careful where I display my treats now! Thanks so much for sharing your recipes!
Hi
Love your channel 💜
mmm they are thin, melt chocolate with coconut oil get a paint brush and paint the backside they remind me of the pepperidge farm cookies

Thank you for subscribing
These are always my favorite when we come over to your house and you make these I’m DEFINITELY making these!!!
yay!!
I love these cookies but never knew what they were called or how to make them. Thank you so much.
We make these but when we take them out of the oven, we wrap them around a can or a rolling pin and then slide them off and later use them as waffers with icecream.
Great Recipe! Makes Super Beautiful Christmas Tin Sunday School Gifts! Gotta becareful on the delivery! Ly
So many recipes to try and so little butter. I keep having to go back to the store to get more every time I see another great recipe...it's becoming quite an expensive habit lol. Totally worth it though.
God bless :) Lace Cookies yess , thank you so very much
Where did you find your containers that you have your sugar in please?
sams club but you can find them on Amazon too.
Sometimes a Dollar Tree has Christmas Tins!
Thank you for the recipe, your so funny, a cookie in each hand and you were eating. 🤪 Love it
Hello! So I just now made the batter and got everything ready, and then I noticed you said not to make these on a rainy day! UGH! Darn it!! It’s supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow here.
I wrapped up the dough and put it in the fridge. Will these be okay with the dough being refrigerated like this you think?
These were supposed to be a gift to my father in law- he LOVES them! I’m thinking rather than make them, I will just send the dough to him and he can make them at his house in a few days!!! 😂😂
Do you think that would work out? Thanks so much- my family loves this cookies recipe you have no idea how much it has blessed us. Have a great evening! 💜🎄
Oh my goodness these are delicious! And I think there’s a learning curve to get the amount of dough+ perfect bake time + perfect cooling time = just right! Sadly some of mine needed to be eaten too! But the curve is short.
Haha. I just made these again today! We love them! I love the rolling up idea.
Your hubby is so funny. I love your cute shoes or slippers!
I had a friend that made these many years ago. They were good.
My uncle used to make these when he was head chef at Macys basement restaurant. Huge ones as big as your hand! They dipped the edges in honey and sesame seeds, or chocolate and chocolate sprinkles... Im getting nostalgic smh... 😭
New sub here. I just made your Christmas brickle! It's cooling in the fridge and my daughter and I CAN'T WAIT to try it! I figured I'd watch another of your recipe videos while we're impatiently waiting to taste the brickle lol. Maybe I'll try this recipe next! Hope you're enjoying your holiday season so far. ❤
Yay! Welcome and thank you for subscribing!
Thank you so much for this amazing recipe. I have always wanted to learn how to make lace cookies. How long will these cookies stay crisp if you keep them in a tin?
Love it. For sure going to make them, I often make baking for my clients for Christmas...these are going in! Along with my daughter's wonderful macarons from her bakery-
Mummaknowsbestcupcakery
Wonderful!
Thanks for the recipe. I don't know if the ones I've seen at a bakery are the same, but the ones at the bakery had orange zest and one side of the cookie had a very light layer of chocolate, delicious! Have you ever seen them? What do you think?
8:22 storing them? I wanna talk about eating them! Lol I love crunchy lace cookies. This recipe is a little bit different from mine, I will try them this week. I will also look for the apple pie recipe you said was on your page.
Hey! Ok so without using any fancy chemical names, "soft white" plastic like the first container is non-porous. Its safe for the microwave cause it wont melt. The clear plastic has pores. So it will melt very fast and change shape if you add boiling water to it. Thats why the cookies crisp in the clear plastic, they have a chance to lose moisture and stay dry. The other one will retain moisture and create mold for certain products. Companies try to avoid selling the clear plastic in a size that fits into the microwave for... Obvious reasons!
I've been looking for this recipe but forgot the name of them - thanks (you can't store these in airtight containers - that's why the tins work great)
Can you freeze the batter? There are only 2 of us. Would be nice to section batter and put it in freezer for future cookie cravings!😁
I think when they’re still warm you can wrap them around like a broom handle and then you can like fill them with a like a chocolate whip cream and dip the ends in chocolate.
What color is the blue on your cabinets? It’s beautiful!
Never heard of them...will have to give it a try...thank you for sharing. How are you doing ? It's been almost 2 months since your surgery. Hoping all is well for you...😘
I'm doing great! Thank you for asking
Make them a little bigger & roll when warm. Stuff with a cream cheese filling.
That sounds so delicious! I think I'm going to make mine like that now.
They look so pretty! If they have holes in them does that mean we can eat more? Sounds like something Bryant would say. 😂. A pretty party cookie. Thanks for sharing the recipe. ♥️
yes!!!
Where did you get the container you have the sugar in? My Mom had those years ago. I love them. I love your channel also!
Sam's club but Amazon has them too I think
These are even better if you melt chocolate and just smear a little on the bottom and add candied orange peels when you add the pecans.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful recipe. What is the weight of your stick of butter!? God bless you
I think it's a 1/4 pound
Is the butter salted or unsalted? We usually have unsalted but some recipes call for salted. They look so good. Have a good rest of the weekend.
I always use salted that way I don't usually add any extra salt
Can I ask where you got your measuring cup/ spoon? That is so cute! 😀 I love ❤️ kitchen gadgets ! I enjoy your videos!
On Amazon
@The Farming Pastor's Wife,
Love these cookies! So yummy.
Miss Leslie , Where did you get your big container for your sugar? I need to get some of those. How many dozen does this recipe make? I've never made these. Ya think at 54 I would have since I've been cooking/baking at a very early age since my Mom was ill & hated to be in the kitchen & I took over .Thanks so much!~ Anita
Sam's club
If you could be in my seat at this very minute while I was watching you and I was almost yelling to you ( don’t forget your cookies that are in the oven 😂 )
Where do you get you measuring spoons and you storage buckets for your sugars?
Amazon for the spoons
Sam's club for the containers
Can I freeze half the cookie dough? It's just me and that is a lot of cookies. They look so good.
Maybe I have never tried it
Yum. Can I freeze some of the batter?
I think so but I've never tried it
Why not make half a recipe?
where did you get those measuring cups? I have lokked on line but no go!
I will see if I can find a link later today
@@TheFarmingPastorsWife Thanks!!
🥰you are very nice
Hi, I watched your video on Lace Cookies witch I enjoyed very much and will make some, but you didn’t finish telling us how to store them. Do you need to put parchment in between each layer or what??
yes parchment paper between the layers
Would these work with other nuts? My husband is allergic to pecans.
I've never tried it but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.
@@TheFarmingPastorsWife Thank you for your reply!
Could I leave the pecans out I can’t have them for health reasons
I have never tried it but I am pretty sure it would still work.
Replacement of eggs... please
Can you store in Tupperware?? ♥️♥️
Patricia
They'll probably get soft in Tupperware.
they get soft in Tupperware. I have no idea why.
@@TheFarmingPastorsWife
Thank you!! I made some oh my goodness we Love them !!!!!!
You can't store them in Tupperware because it is airtight.
@@jaynahamons1505 I'm not sure why but they still get soft. The type of plastic is what makes a difference. It's so weird.
That is a lot of sugar. Not diabetic friendly.
no it's not
I am sorry to be so talkative. Could give me the lady's name who makes the aprons, and contact number.
are you talking about the kitchen scarfs around the neck? her info should be in the description of the video. her name is Jenni McQueen. and here is her email
