Nice video of my home tracks. (I am one of the builders) They are in amazing condition just now after a bit of maintenance and a few nice wee changes over the last 2 months. More maintenance to come though. 😃 There is also Frankie there... It's the steepest one.
Where you the guy myself and Cameron were chatting to on New Year’s Day by any chance, just in the car park at the bottom? Talking about dragon soup and CT scans 🤣 If so, nice to see ya! You’re right, it’s running great at the mo. Will be up again soon I’m sure! You’re hard work grafting on the trails is appreciated! Great wee place. Aye we hit frankies later that day… steep asf 😂 Fun track for sure. Next time we’re back we’ll get the highline going down into the first chute 🤘 Can’t wait!
This takes me back used to ride here 25 years ago on a fully rigid bike with cantilever brakes oh those were the days. Good to see a lot of our original lines are still being used albeit with a lot of extra features
@@JackAldred been thinking of dusting off the old mongoose again watching this for inspiration . Got a knee injury about 6-7 years ago buy the time i was healed i lost my fittness and motovation, ended up jumping ship onto the mx/enduro scene but my hearts always really been with mountain bikes
@@JackAldred definatly even back just before i jacked it the trail pixies were getting quite industrious, couldnt imagine what its like now all these years later
I just realised from watching some of your other vids that I may have seen you send it full pelt down the Mast some time ago haha. I'm local there. Christ you rode that trail well!
Jack! could u maybe give me some youtube tips? Maybe tell me what to improve on aswell just loook up Archie MacRae, cuz the channel i am commenting on dosent have anything on it, appreciate it bro 🤙
Hi Archie. Just checked out a few of your videos. You've got the basics down pretty well I'd say; good at talking to the camera, and nice GoPro's angles too. Just keep going with it and you'll gradually see improvements over time, whether that be in riding ability, vlogging or editing 😊 Enjoy the process and keep at it mate! I subscribed 🙏

@@JackAldred yes, that was me. So good to see so many new faces up there these days.
How do you get to these trails and is it just a fire road pedal up to the top for all trails
Nice vid. You called the first trail wildcat, is it called law and order on Trail forks?
Yep! Looks like some of the trail names have changed since I made this vid
Meal deal: 8/10, impeccable wrap and drink selection, but let down by the fridge raiders
I respect that. What would you swap out for the fridge raiders tho? 🤔

That’s awesome! Ever though about revisiting the place?

@@stevenanderson7471 Ah man that sucks. You should definitely get back out there. So many places to explore and see out on the bike! 😎

Rode this today! Flipping amazing tracks
Awesome mate! Too right, the tracks are great up there. Good mix of mellow and fast, and steep and techy 👌

@@MTB89VADE Haha no way mate, I’ll keep an eye out for ya in the future 😎
Knocking 50 and grew up in Elgin , have ridden the tweed bvalley for years but buzzing for my first Dallas and Oakwoods ride soon.
I've not heard of Oakwoods, where about is that? And Dallas is so good, a lot of graft has gone into the trails there recently, so enjoy!
@@JackAldred also called quarrel woods just outside of Elgin, really good trails but it's worth getting someone to show you round
@@finlaymceachan6460 Ah nice one, will look into that! Cheers
Interesting stuff!
What gopro mount do you use in this video cause its very good
Thanks mate, it’s just a standard sticky mount which I’ve put under the visor on my helmet!
11:55, is the canal!
Which road do we take to get here from Elgin guys
There’s a link to the location of the trails on TrailForks in the description mate 👍 You want to park where all the trails finish
Sick
