Thanks for this. Supper helpful. I've watched many Sire reviews and I like how comprehensive yours is. You covered a lot of territory and it was great hearing you put it through the paces with pedals. Lots of meat in your review. Looking forward to watching more of them.
The scratch on the pick guard will probably disappear when you peel the plastic off, I noticed the round sticker which is on top of the plastic protection as it was on mine and others in the shop. Like you say it’s different from the Fender but not in a bad way. The quality compared to the fender is very good ( I think better) and the price I paid £330. V and my Fender player series was a little over £600. I’ve decided to sell my player strat and replace it with an S7.
I have the S3, Sire really know how to make a great guitar for the price. This is great news for all guitarists, as other manufacturers either keep up or get left on the store shelves. Makes a nice change from the usual race to the budget bottom end that certain big name manufacturers seem to be eager to embrace.
Thanks for the great review. To my ears it doesn’t sound anything like a tele. I have one and it’s surprising how the mahogany “cancels” out the tele twang. It probably sounds more like an SG with P-90’s. Mine came with 10’s, I put 9’s on it and now the high E string keeps popping out of the nut slot. I think it needs a string tree and I don’t see why having one is a problem. The hardware (bridge, saddles, switches, pots, jack) are pretty low quality but it all works fine. My input jack is loose and there’s no nut to tighten that one can get to without taking the guitar apart. Unfortunately I would not recommend this guitar to anyone.
Even the rosewood fingerboard sounds slightly warmer than a maple fingerboard (I just listened to a side-by-side comparison) but that’s almost a moot point with the mahogany body.
Great video. Just picked one of these up on a trade and I love it. I had an S7 and unfortunately I had to sell it. I fell in love with Sire necks and I’ll figure out the rest. Thanks!
You can sand plastic, just use ultra fine grit, totally looks like a Suhr Headstock, there's some really great cheap guitars lately lighting a fire under the big brands butts, stainless steel frets , locking tuners, great electronics, too many to list here, only a guitar player knows what hes playing your usual audience member usually couldn't tell or care what the name of your guitar is, the heydey of great cheap guitars lately , i just wish they were around when I started playing, cheap meant junk, my rant for the day lol great review!!

9 gauge is a little lighter. More common in strats and teles. 10s more common on Les Paul’s. I myself like 10 gauge in everything. Thanks for watching!
How’s the lack of string tree i notice at 2:47 that there seems to be little break angle behind the nut to the tuners, have you noticed any tuning stability issues
I talk about it for a quick second in the video. The tuners are staggered. So they get lower (shorter) as it goes from low E to high E. So there’s no need for string trees
@@TheMixWithABD yeah I did watch and see what you said in the video I was just wondering how the tuning was as the break angle does still seem shallow with the staggered tuners (without the string tree), I’m interested in purchasing one just good to find out from an owner how the tuning is and have sire got it right 👌🏻
@@laurenconway7153 the tuning is actually very solid. The break angle works perfectly. I have staggered tuners on a custom strat and these work just as well. The T7 has locking tuners. These are not. But they are indeed solid. The nut is cut very well and the strings don’t get stuck in the slots at all. Sire makes unreal quality instruments for very little money. You can pick up any sire and expect high quality.

mahogany would not be my first choice of wood for a tele. Just like alder would not be my first choice for a LP. The fender sounded way more lively and had better clarity.
Good review (and fun outtakes at the end). I am definitely thinking of getting a T3. How is its Tele "country spank" compared to the Fender? Probably not your style, but for me the ability of the bridge pick up to get that sound will be the decider.
It may not be a real telecaster but it’s still a real guitar if that still means anything. To tell you the truth I’m still deciding between sire T3/7 or Schecter PT/special
Well when I bought the Sire T3 I wondered if I’d regret not buying the T7, in short the answer was NO the only discernible difference was locking tuners and a baked maple neck. Vanson locking tuners are fine reasonably cheap and drop straight in and I preferred the rosewood neck. Also the difference in price between the two didn’t really add up.
Got my new T3, same color as yours. Going to replace the bridge saddles. Too much buzzing and secondary after tones from the bridge. Typical with an Asian made guitar. Output jack was loose, will have to tighten and apply some thread lock.

@@TheMixWithABD There are many reviews of both the S and T series Sires which and although it's subjective, offer better features than the Fender Player series.
