    A great classic bike. Does anyone know did Yamaha basically put a 350XT motor in a DT 125 frame etc, it looks very. similar?

    I have a 1991 XT350. Is there a knack to starting it? It always starts in the end, but takes some kicking. Sometimes when i kick it seems to stop hard, other times I can kick all the way down. I don't have much mechnical knowledge so a "How to start your XT350" tutorial would be much appreciated!

      Very cool! Awesome old bikes! That is a great idea! I’ll definitely try and make a video soon! Yeah it’s hard to explain via text. Appreciate your input and hopefully have a video up soon! Safe riding!

      Make sure you have a good spark plug (replace if don’t know the last time that was done), make sure the carburetor is clean and the air filter intact and not all clogged up. Check if the switch on the handle bar is to run, fuel in set to on, pull out the choke and it should start in 1 or 2 light kicks. Always let the kickstart come up fully before kicking. If you have to use a lot of force, don’t keep kicking as you will break things, but check the decompression cable setup

      @erwinvb70 4 месяца назад +1

      @@takiniteasy2337 also check the carburetor intake boots, if air gets in between the carburetor and cylinder, not only will it be difficult to start, the bike will run lean and overheat

      @@erwinvb70 Hi and thank you for the reply and good advice! A couple of the things you suggest I can do myself, the rest I will pass on to the Yamaha dealer that will be storing the bike for the Norwgian winter. It's a very enjoyable bike to ride, the starting hassle however is somewhat disheartening. Hopefully when that is resolved I can enjoy it even more! Thanks again! Mattthew

    Yamaha need's to bring that bike back. I think it would do well in the US.
