Xr100 review a bust or the best????
Here I walk around and show my 2002 xr100 and talk about what I like about this little bike and what issues I have had in my almost two years of ownership. Let me know if you have one of these and what your thought are on them?

I bought a kids dirtbike….. and absolutely love it!!

Cruising around on my 2002 Honda xr100. It is a dirtbike designed for kids but with its small size and 100cc displacement it makes for an awesome bike that is super easy to ride and extremely fun and forgiving!!
Do you really need a new car?
Просмотров 395Месяц назад
We all love spending money! But do you actually need a new car? Here we do a quick comparison on two awd cars, one old one new! Do you drive far enough for work that the car payment is worth the reliability? Or can a car that has 150,000 miles do the trick? Just something to consider before giving into a car payment!

ruclips.net/video/zO6dEIppjBQ/видео.htmlsi=8ZzyJ5dZ5CO0ICSr Here’s the camper setup!
i've got an rx300 as well, 2003 AWD, fucking love this car. Jealous you have the seat warmers lol. Where did you get that basket and awning? I've got the same yak rak and would love to add those things but can't find anything rx300 specific online
Hahah yes! I try and convince everyone I know to get an rx300! I absolutely love mine too! Hahah but yeah they are just Amazon basket and awning. The awning just mounts straight to the basket but with this particular basket I just had to adjust the stock cross bars to line up and mount the basket! Super easy setup!
The awning is 6 and a half feet wide and comes out 8 feet. I stopped at 6.6 feet so it wouldn’t stick too far forward or stop the back hatch from opening completely. Works perfect!

I gave away a 68 Honda 450 scrambler. It was tough to keep it running. The carbs would get the tiniest bit of dirt and then it would only run on one cylinder. That xt is almost perfect and as you can see, it's running.

Well i bought a 3 year old lexus rx300 with 47k miles back in 2003, it was lexus year 2000. First repair i had when it hit 147k miles, had to change a sensor
@@maniac32145 that is amazing!! Legendary cars!! Thanks for watching!
If you buy a new car and keep it for 10-12 years...then it starts to kind of make sense. It'll never make complete financial sense but at least you're spreading out that deprecation and getting to use the car during its best years. What also happens is that if you've got enough to put away an extra $100-200/mo, in 10 years you'll have a sizable down payment on another car so you aren't constantly financing the majority of the car. At a certain point you'll be paying cash for them. If you swap out cars every 2-3 years then yes, buy a used car...maybe 5 years old. Once they start to get into 6-digit mileage you'll start to dump money and time into them. You might get lucky and nothing happens but usually by 150k something has to be replaced. I have a friend who only buys old cars. Saves a ton of money but then it becomes a burden to everybody around him. When it breaks down somebody has to pick him up. When it's in the shop somebody has to pick him up. The inconvenience of owning a REALLY old car aren't worth it for me personally but I get the appeal.
@@unikornkontroller I totally agree! You definitely have to be careful and know the history of an old car you are potentially going to buy. And owning a high mileage car is always somewhat of a gamble! But yeah I love my wife’s new Subaru and we plan on hanging on to it for the long run. Thanks for commenting! Appreciate it!

@@AhmadnadhireenAbdulkadir I did not, everything is original besides the wheels and I have put about 20,000 miles on the car with these wheels. So far so good! I have installed new struts but other than that everything is stock.

Thanks for watching! Glad they are helpful! I’ll try! Hahah
Nice bike. Thanks for the upload. How tall are you? I am considering this bike, I'm 6'1.
Thank you! Sorry for late response but I am 5’9”. This bike is lower than a lot of other bikes but it’s super comfortable! Lower seat makes it easier on the trails for sure!
Where did you get the sweet Grateful Dead Yamaha decal?
I’m pretty sure I found it on Amazon! Glad you appreciate it hahah! Hopefully you can find one too!
Is that your Subaru in the back. How does it compare to the Lexus off road?
@@NateNoorulBN the Lexus does seem to have more tire spin when two tires lose traction, no x mode or technology like the Subaru but a little bit of left foot braking can go a long way! for the cost and piece of mind I am a lot more willing to push the lexus rather than the Subaru.
hey! Great videos! I've just got an 86 XT350 and wondering if you use semi-synthetic or synthetic oil in it? If so, any you recommend? Thanks!
So cool! Such fun bikes! Thank you! I’ll have to double check! But I go to a local dealer and they supply the yamalube for my 1989 xt350 but I may have some in the garage, I’ll let you know if I find what I use! Never had any issues and engines stay fairly cool!
Is it really 6’3?! Nice I’m five ten and I wanted a van again but I have an 08 I think they have slightly more room but wow this is great news for me
I am also a former van owner! Haha but yeah I’m 5-9 and with the front seats slid all the way forward and a foldable platform I can get plenty of length but the only bummer in these is the head space, for me I can’t completely sit upright when I am in the bed, which isn’t great but having the awd and clearance of this suv, that is the price I am willing to pay.
@ I agree! Thanks so much for the videos
Dude hell yeah just bought a 350! Keep making these man! Also what regular maintenance or parts do you recommend changing or doing on a 15K mile bike?
That’s awesome!!!! Such fun bikes!! I would just continue with oil, spark plugs air filter pretty often, and they are the easiest to maintain. A valve adjustment is always a good idea on any old bike too!
Great video👍. Have a 97 that needs an oil change. Straight to the point 🎉great vid!!
@@SuburbanKiddfast Very cool! And thank you! Appreciate the positive feedback!
Can the box open from either side? And are the clamps adjustable to slide forward and back?
@@bubbalo3388 yeah it opens from both sides. I don’t remember the exact dimensions but the front and back clamps both slide around 5-8 inches front and back from what I remember. So it’s a very universal fit
I’m quite jealous of that absolutely perfect terrain for the XT so nearby
@@erwinvb70 I am super thankful! And don’t let it go to waste! Hahah
I had a 2000 model, and I liked it a lot. In city traffic I would walk away from cars without any effort but screaming at 85mph. on the highway. It struck a nice balance between weight and power on most trails. It actually had more power than I needed ... for me, I almost never got out of 2nd gear on tight trails I rode on. A smaller bike would've worked a little better. None the less, it's a nice bike ... Yamaha tuff!
@@saxon1177 definitely a tough bike! And yes definitely a little heavy for some of the tighter trails! Especially the old steel frames! So much fun though! Zip around town and hop on some trails, doesn’t get much better than that!
@@takiniteasy2337 Yep!

@@jonathanheinz164 give me a week or two but I’ll definitely try and make that video!
I still have my 1988 Xt350 that I bought brand spanking new. At 68 I’m passing her down to my sons whom I took on many rides on that big seat when they were young. When my sons were six years old, I bought them AJR 50 Suzuki, and they followed me all over with it. Many precious memories on that XT 350 and it is still in excellent condition. GREAT MACHINE. 👍

A great classic bike. Does anyone know did Yamaha basically put a 350XT motor in a DT 125 frame etc, it looks very. similar?
What kinda tires are you rocking ?
@@jonathanheinz164 yo! So this is I think my third kenda trak master in a row. And maybe my second for the front but I believe it is 90% off-road and 10% highway use. But I have a new one that I plan on putting on soon actually hahah I personally love this tire, especially for my area, considering all my riding spots are relatively close to my house. But I highly recommend if you ride a lot of trails. I feel like this tire lasts a really long time even with a decent amount of highway miles as well.

How does it do on engine temps after long high speed rides on hot days??
