I came close to tears seeing this video. It reminded me of when I was there in 2014.
If you guys hiked up to the sun gate, Macchu picchu can be seen from from above with no need to pre book. It's very peaceful up there and all the tourists dissolve in to the site.
Great video guys. I was in puno staying with a traditional family on make titicaca as well.

in 2005 I went to Machu Picchu and it was magnificent!!! I climbed up waynupicchu and at the time we didn't need to book that in advance....and let me tell you it was the scariest climb up and down of my entire life! Best Holiday I've ever had! So glad you both had this opportunity!!!

my mom and I have been there 1 year ago its so cool we hiked the 4 day Inka Trail it was exhausting but totally worth it maccu Picchu is stuning

One of the more beautiful places in God's creation. Truly spectacular in 1:11. Watched your introduction several times. Your video prompted me to do a little research on this place. The Spanish priest, Bernabe Cobo, is said to have mentioned in his Chronicles the city Machu Picchu and its owner, "Inca-yupanki," also known as Pachakuli.

How long was the walk from the bus stop to the actual Machu Picchu ? (From the gate at :24 to the actual destination at 1:00) was it tough?

Th protests by the time you were around were probably because there were plans to build an international airport so people can go streight to visit Cuzco instead having to go to Lima first (because honestly, theres not much to see in the capital); but unfortunately the plans were put in a hold because there were some hints about corruption in the contract between the government and the building company.
Aaah you guys......... it's late and i'm all... 'one more episode'! :)) But gosh... I was so excited, nervous and a bit terrified tbh at the Amazon expedition... and this one was so exciting too, I teared up when you got to Macchu Picchu up there hahah... I'm in love with that place. And seeing those rays and that light, it was so incredible.
