Hello and welcome to Middle-earth.
A place of adventure and epic tales.
This world file was made to combine the LotR Mod for Minecraft, with all the important locations and characters, as well as other mods like rings of power and more weapons, armor and Custom NPC's with quests and skins. It 's in active development for over 3 years now and the project is growing every day.
Our goal is to recreate Tolkien's world with accurate lore, in a new role play game experience.
All new added structures will be manually edited into the world and improved, to make sure they fit in a nice transition into the environment.
Experience Middle-earth like never before with a full open world.
Hundreds of lovely created dialog lines, with many different
answer choices, lies ahead for you to explore.
Quest lines that will lead you into the footsteps of your heroes and many
followers you can hire on the way.
But are you able to destroy the one ring, or will you bound to his power?
The world is available in english or german language.

Its saddens me that this mod doesn't get the recognition it deserves. There is Millions of Tolkien fans and millions of minecraft players. This mod is my favorite Lotr game of all time. It manages to succeed were so many other games failed. Keep the work up! ❤️

Same. I wish there was a sercer with this mod and other mods, that will turn minecraft into LOTRO-like game. I think Lotro is my 2nd or 3rd favourite lotr game, but i never liked how Monster play worked, and I wish it was more like SWTOR, or at least you could play as "dark side corrupted man", and I loved that I have opportunity to work with Evil Men and Orcs in this mod.
@@llamonardodavinci6090Luckily there was in February Just not posted on the wiki he tends to post stuff in his Facebook page instead of the wiki sometimes but yes it is taking forever I mean even Beta 3 had more content than the current renewed and it’s been over 3 years now

Honestly this is the first time i've come across this world map, ive briefly explored parts of it and I must say, this is absolutely fantastic and makes middle earth feel even more complete, can't wait to play with it properly as the questlines look quite interesting and remind me of lotro lol

Thats exactly why I started this project back in the days. The world felt so big but a bit empty, I wanted to visit all the epic locations. Importing these areas and edit them, so they fit into the world, took the most time and only at the end I had the idea of quests in mind. Writing all the dialog and designing all the quests was so fun. There is still many things to improve and its a never finished project, the community and the team is growing every day and we will even start a server one day and working on an evil campagin and much more. This project is a true heart project and a dream is comming true for me seeing all the people playing it and having fun

@@averagewelder750 Hi, unfortunately I dont think so. The map needs the lotr mod, as its build in the middleearth dimension, and this mod needs the 1.7.10 java version of MC for PC. I think the console version is based of the Bedrock version. But it works on similar platforms like steam deck, so a device that you can connect on PC to transfer the data.

Protect this guy named "pacman" at all costs!!! This is such great mod for minecraft! It captures everything the old lotr mod was missing, and it was all made by only one person. And if this isnt 'nuff this guy still making updates to this mod, and still makes it better. One of the best, if not the best modpack for MC.

I want someone to make a mod where you spawn with a ring. You(with or without buddies) travel a million or so blocks to Mordor, just however long to make it a three-four hour gimmick. The Nazgul are also chasing you. You win by destroying the ring at mount doom obvi
It would be cool to have the option to follow frodos story or any of the others. Idk if you have played the mod gooftroop7, but to go from the shire to mordor in the game walking or on a mount takes a very long time probably the better half of the day, and if you dont fast trave it would probably take a couple days.

Правда, в локациях, которые были импортированы из Genstructures есть некоторые проблемы и ошибки, говорю из опыта игры с ними: например, в Гарцующем Пони, на первом этаже, во всех бочках и на тарелках лежит непонятно что: копья, стойки для брони, сера - в общем, не еда. Это большая проблема Genstructures, с которой нужно плотно работать. Также, если честно, места, которые сделаны полностью из ванильных блоков выпадают из общего стиля (но это совсем небольшая проблема, я понимаю, что переделывать всё подобные локации, добавляя в них блоки из мода, было бы безумной работой).
Спасибо за это подробное сообщение. Получение таких положительных отзывов делает меня счастливым и вдохновляет меня продолжать.

Мы знаем о проблеме с генерируемыми структурами и работа над ней является приоритетной задачей в разработке. Однажды все базовые блоки будут преобразованы во Властелина колец.

В настоящее время ведется работа над переводом на немецкий и испанский языки. К сожалению, у нас пока нет других переводчиков, но вы можете использовать переводчик Google для незнакомых слов. В нашем Discord есть руководство по игре с друзьями. Мы также можем помочь с вопросами там.

Yes, it always bothered me that you cant find huge cities like Minas Tirith in the game, and also that there was no story quest like destroying the One Ring, thats why I started this project. Its now rly huge and in the making for some years now. Bet you will like it when you played the old lotr-mod. 😀

But to be clear this is not a coorperation with lotr mod, we just use it as a base for our project. Same as most of the builds. But all creators have been reached out for permissions and given credits. ^^
Its more of a fan project that has grown over the years. One world file that brings the ultimate lotr experience with boss fights, questing, making a fellowship,
hundreds of dialog lines and active development over the next years with many planned updates.
It is growing more than I would ever exepct and am so happy :-D Its a little dream coming true seeing people having so much fun exploring the world

I really hope Mevans eventually buckles down on renewed really wish renewed never came to be because he seems to be really really struggling with it because even Beta 3 was further along than this is over three years in with beta 3 being mere months in
This is by far my favorite mod! One question though, on the mod's fandom-wiki it says the renewed version hasn't been updated since feburary 2022. Sorry to ask but did you stop updating it or is the wiki just not being updated?
Hi, its not from me. I just use the LOTR mod for my Map-Project. The original mod is by Mevans and his team. They started a renewed version after the legacy 1.7.10 version was complete. But they never finished it. And If its finished one day, I will port my map over to the new version. Until than we have to use the old version. But I have a plan in mind which is different from Mevans. he wanted to make a sandbox world with this mod. I more or less use his mod to craft the original story of the ring campaign, with NPCs boss fights, structures, so basically a huge RPG adventure map you can play solo or with friends. All about our project and many news and infos are at my discord server if you are interested. :-D

I’ve noticed various rings scattered around the map. (One Ring, Vilya, Dwarven ring in Erebor.)
I was wondering if all the other (20) rings are in the map as well? Or at the least are all the elven rings in the map?
Hello Nevius, yeah I've added the "Rings of Power" mod, which adds ALL the rings ^^
In the next map update, that I plan for end of this month, we do plan a rework of all the effects, to make them more lore accurate. Also you will find the rings on the map. Most of the time close to the original bearer. Like the ring of Galadriel, close to her in the chest in Lothlorien. So you need to search a bit. If you dont find them, I have a list of all the rings in my discord server tips and tricks channel. Cheers 😀

Hey, I'm trying to take the path of the Fellowship, but I can't seem to find Bilbo's Trolls. Do you have coordinates for where they are? Or can you give me a general area? I'd like to explore and mark them!

There should be "location screenshots" folder in the download with all areas and coords.
They are on the discord too, with many other tips.
But If you want to find them alone, they should be at the road under the troll forest or hill, or whatever the region is called, just directly in a vertical line from the name to the road under it in the middle. Hard to explain, hope you will find them ^^

Hey, yes and it would be awesome because it would be way more easier to work with the newest minecraft version and it would have many gameplay and performance improvements. But we can only start if the renewed version is in a final state, so we dont have to start all over when an update will came. But alone the build high limit gone would make so much more easy with the big structures. So hope it will come out one day :-D
So how are you gonna rework Moria exactly? Its a personal favourite of mine.
Hi my friend, no worries it will not be replaced, I love that area too. We will only try to expand the area a bit, like adding a few more tunnels, and moving the exit gate to the orignial map location, which means moria will be way bigger. But not all the way, we are planning on adding some teleport points as well. And making the Balrog fight possible, and adding more loot and stuff like that. But I think the update will not be ready before end of July.

You need to use v1.7.10 and forge to run the lotr mod :-/ but all infos are in the install tutorial folder from the download. :-D

Yes you can check out the tips and tricks folder from the download discription for some help. But if you still struggle to find some quest starting points, just join our discord. I've made a list there with some infos for the quests, locations and other things. But normaly all main quests should be follow up after the previous mission. If you talk to Frodo at the spawn, he will guide you to Gandalf in Beg-End, Bilbos house in the Shire, there will start the first quest. There is a questlog button too, if you dont know how to continue, just check it out and it usually will gives you a hint on what to do 🙂 have fun exploring

Hi, it will only work in v1.7.10 unfortunately. As soon as the lotr renewed mod for 1.16 is finished by mevans and his team, I will work on transforming the world into the new version.

Hey, you are probably use the NotEnoughItems mod with the MorePlayerModels mod at the same time.
You can only do this when playing with shaders, otherwise pick only one of these mods.

If I download al the mods in 1.7.10 ist al bugged. Bud when I install the newer version of the mod ist al fine. Bud that version is stil in progress. Can anyone help me with this?
Hi, my save file works only with the old legacy version at the moment, maybe in the future we can change it into the new version when its more developed.
With everything bugged you mean like inventory bar white, strange graphic glitches and black NPCs?
If yes: this is an issue with some PCs and the lotr mod itself.
here are a few solutions:
- For Nvidia users: In "Manage 3D Settings", change "Auto-Setting" to "preferred graphics processor" (AMD users should have a similar setting in the Adrenaline software.)
- Make sure to use java version 8.
- Downgrading intel cpu helped some players (dont know how that works but fixed it for many)
- If Intel Xe core display is used and this problem will also occur, you need to use the mod Neodymium to solve it.

Does the game have the music?
You can use a lotr music pack that will play the biome specific songs, we can't include it in the download due to copy right issues, but its in our discord. Its a pinned message in the music channel.

Hi, if all NPCs are black or buged, just try to install it all again, some ppl that had that problem fixed it that way, if its not helping post it in our help room in the discord and we will check this out.
Which mod is this and is it on curseforge?
Hi, at the moment we have it only in PlanetMinecraft because the world is to big for corseforge to be uploaded there.
But once you downloaded everything, you can start it with curseforge app too, you just need to open the installation path of the world in curseforge-app and put the mods inside.

What is the cycle of the Super Secret Settings options? I want to see the game normally again.
This was made by optifine i think. Just press it some times until your game looks normal again. Had the same issue some days ago. xD

Hey :-D , you can download version 3.0 already. I wanted to release the full update video way earlier but I was to busy the last weeks.
For now you can check on all the new features in the patchnotes or in the discord.
A little patch will be coming soon too with some minor improvements.
The full video that explains all in detail is coming "hopefully" in the next weeks, same with a tutorial video for the installation.
Editing those videos turned out to be very time consuming because of the script. Recroding cinematics about the world is a bit easier.
But much more content is planned this year and I have so much ideas, only the time is a bit short xD

what happened to the mod? Is it dead
I know, there hasnt been progress on the official mod by the team for some time. I also waiting for the renewed version so I can start converting the map. With newer MC version the map would be way more smooth, better performance, mod support, shields, and so on. Maybe one day^^ Until than I will work the best I can on the current map. have you checked out version 3.4.1 of my world? We improved Moria :-D The next steps are improvments in Erebor, goblin town and some others.
