Is there a trick to these dryland dredge nozzles? Ive got a 3in one that wants to blow the water out the nozzle instead of in the hopper, and im wondering if ive got a problem with the nozzle or with how im set up. Does the hopper HAVE to be below the nozzle on a drylander or can it be below like a regular dredge?
For this I used/tried flexseal type stuff in a can and then wrapped/embedded it with a thin piece of ductape. It worked ok. Heavy duty innertube patches work better.
Great video 👍🏻lots of good info & looked like a great day. Getto no I don’t think so that’s more like ingenious ingenuity use what you got. Mining is VERY EXPENSIVE for sure. More you want the more dirt you have to move. I like your setup I think it looks awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻be safe & pan on
Thanks Man! I'm actually pretty happy with how the hopper turned out. You're right, mining is crazy expensive! The more you can build from scrap and McGuyver it, the better! Heavy Pans!!!
Absolutely right Tolan! You've got to really want it. Gold mining is hard and can really test your patience. Have you gotten your highbanker out lately?

My buddy worked with Colorado Gold Camp to find his claim...one that actually has gold lol...so many claims are bunk it’s hard to find a good one without help from a professional...in my opinion
Hey Captn. To be accurate, you really need to use the true basics: Lr2000, county recorders office, good mapping software and boots on the ground. It all adds up to give you the full picture of what is going on.
@@ColoradoGoldCamp I only use it to find out if an area is already claimed so I don't jump. I can't afford to file a claim for myself, I just enjoy prospecting.
@@captnron59 It is definitely a good resource but there are some errors and it takes a few months for it to get updated. If you compare it with the current Lr2000, then you get a more accurate picture. Good on you for doing your research! Claim jumping is bad. A lot of times the research can lead you to new areas!
Hmm, interesting. Yes and no. You can certainly do small scale dredging with a battery running a very high powered electric pump. The solar panel could charge said battery.
Awesome, glad to have you here Glenno!!! The first few days we didn't get much for our efforts but the gold is getting chunkier the closer we get to that bedrock!
Can you add a drip solution of Jet-Dry when you suck up would that help the sluice collect more gold instead of it top floating out your dredge..... ???
best way to move boulders is make a 4-6 ft tall seesaw. 4 inch verical pipe 4 1/4 inch short T pipe that you can put a 12 foot 4 inch pipe thru and with a 4 way clam claw on chain hoooked to end of pipe..grab tne rock pull down on long end of pipe lift rock, rotate it 180 dregrees and lower..for bigger rocks you can use a 8 ft 2 inch pipe to stick out farther inside 4 inch pipe for more leverage..slide it out 2 ft beyond boulder and as you lift the boulder goes the directtion of end of pipe..the foot only needs to be 3 feet long like a +..it would sure save on all that comealong jacking over other boulders..romens used this method made outa wood and on wheels..just a thought for you to ponder

These things work fairly well if you have enough pump power and water.

Very interesting looking ground
Definitely! This is glacial till that has been reworked by ancient rivers. The bedrock should be very interesting!

A great exploration 👍

I have sluiced for gemstones, but the recovery rate is not very good. A small jig is definitely the way to go.
Could you do gold dredging powered by solar panel

You could use a board to wench the big rocks up. A much slicker surface without the rock digging in.
