I used to love mushrooms on everything. Loved going "mushroom picking" with grandpa and dad. People in the US don't do this. They miss out. :)

I can't wait to make this soup. It's been years since I had it back in Poland. I'm guessing it can be made with Portobello mushrooms or dry wild mushrooms, in which case they need to be soaked for a bit?

Yes any mushrooms will do. Even though this one is especially meant for the white ones. It is the best to soak them for at least few hours, but it will work if you soaked them right before you start cooking if you forgot.
