  • Having the experience shooting with the Voigtlander Vitoret viewfinder, I was excited to use the Voigtlander CSR rangerfinder. I just love rangefinder cameras! Based on my user experience and after evaluating the results, I am very happy to be the proud owner of this beautiful camera. Thank you to Hans and Miriam at the Fotovakhuis in Haarlem! It again proves the point that you do not need expensive gear to achieve great images. It took me 3 weeks to shoot through a roll of Kodak Portra 400, but it was worth the wait!

2:40 wise words indeed. Even today, over 100 years after its invention, a Tessar type lens is good enough for 95% of all images in my opinion.
It's great to see a review about one of the less flashy vintage cameras :)
5:50 the issue of 36-shot 35mm rolls being too large was one of the reasons why I purchased a film loading tool, now most of my rolls hold about 12 images, like a 6x6 MF camera, which I find to be much more pleasant to use. Granted, 100ft colour film stock is hard to find, but for B/W there are plenty available.

Great music choice, again. I wonder, who was the artist? Great camera work again, too.
Thanks for sharing your "On the way to work", photos. Always marvel, how you capture such an industrialized port, with hardly any people in your shots.
Oilfield business went from 0 to 100 , seemingly overnight. Now everybody wants a pump stroke counter, or center position indicator, yesterday. I work from home now, so the only pictures I'll be taking is of the neighborhood. When I get stir crazy though, I just find one of your videos to watch, then back to soldering.
    Thanks! Stay safe.Peace

Hi enjoyed the video with your great shots. I understand that the csr is a coupled Cds light meter do if it's not working is the camera useless as you would need an uncoupled light meter. Have you used this camera with a separate handheld light meter. Interested in your thoughts on this one. Regs

This would be a perfect camera to take with you in your bag when going to school or work! Do you have the leather case as well?
Definitely looking out for one of those ;)

The "Keywords" here are "In good condition" ... These nice little cameras are prone to break down very easily unfortunately. Repairs are relatively difficult and hard to do for non initiated. A little low budget camera with an ok lens. Nothing less but for sure nothing more.
