Inferi is BY FAR one of the most impressive bands I’ve ever seen live. I was instantly a fan. They are all top notch musicians, it was almost surreal seeing a band cohesively play at that level! On top of that, they were all incredibly humble and nice people. Damn, I miss live music lol
Let’s be honest .. in modern metal, malcom is close to the top of technical.. and the fact he is so chill and relaxed about it while he is playing is nothing short of amazing
Been a fan of Malcolm since his days playing in Diskreet. Dude has always been on whoooole other level, not to mention what he and his people have been doing with Artisan Era is extremely important to the underground, extreme metal scene.
@@chifromano4088I think Inferi has more complex riffage but archspire’s solos are harder. Overall I’d say Inferi is the more difficult one to play due to stamina
Inferi is one of my top favorite bands, bought the tab book today after their play through video for The Promethean Kings came out today!!! So excited for that, and to see you all play it!!!
This is my 5th straight video of this series and I cannot say enough how thankful I am to be introduced to bands like this! And it’s on Sheet Happens!!!!! I’m so pumped to get into this catalog and learn *attempt* this!
This is great in so many ways. Dean and Claire, you two are highly talented and make interesting videos by doing things like this. And Inferi is the best music like ever written, so seeing an actual pro guitarist and his wife who is also very good on guitar struggle with some of Inferi’s hardest riffs just confirmed for me how good the music really is.. also the line at the end “ do not fear the girthy book” 🤣
Malcom is a riff fucking Master, and Path Of Apotheosis is one of my favorites ever. It must be said as well that for a technical death album these riffs are just so damn tasty :)
Glad to see they struggle on riff 3. Destroyer was the first song I learned (still got like 30s left before im done), starting a year ago and that riff still F's me up. I was not even remotely ready for that song when I started but the amount I learned was insane.
Damn, Inferi are where it's at As insane as it sounds this is exactly the kind of stuff I want to start learning just to up the difficulty curve and get my chops back. I've really let my ability slip over the last year and I want to leave where I was In the dust and better myself as a musician
Dude, so glad you guys are back. Idk if it's new, but I love how you're incorporating the actual backing tracks a little more and more, it gives off a wicked professional vibe and just sounds killer. Also, Dean, looking pretty grizzly bro, recording must have been brutal. Sorry for gushing, cant wait for the new music. Glad you guys are back, happy new year. Nice work.
I play mostly stoner doom or blue stuff in my guitar life so far but, You two have inspired me to stop just listening to death metal and start learning the style and riffs! THANK YOU
Man, this album was the one that made me start playing guitar, i probably listened to this album a milion times which if u time it by 1 milion times is about the number, really cool stuff, but i did evolutionise into old school brutal death later on, mad respect and motivational, i guess ill take on this challenge and try to learn the whole album without the solos, coz this is a nice little nostalgia that i got, thank you :)
@@colinsmith5879 Eh. I dont know about that. I think they have a lot of energy in their music. It's not just about the lowest growl and the most notes per second for me.
@@SamiKarvinen I don't find that. I liked them ages ago as a teen but now that kinda super wimpy melodic stuff just feels like diet death metal to me. I come to death metal to jam out to something that's actually heavy. Plus, their vocals are just embarrassing imo.
