Great reviews! Have you come across any low key Bluetooth headsets (preferably with detachable mic) that can replace low-mid end monitor headphones as well? I would like to consolidate and replace my audio technica m50x for around $200 give or take
Would they sound similar to the old Razer Kraken (2014)? Ive been using that one for a while, but thinking about swapping to a newer smaller headset, with at least similar sound
I have the original razer opus, and i use them both for gaming and listening music, can verify that it sounds amazing for both purposes, battery life is great, i charge it once after two days of intense gaming, ANC is amazing, the only flaws that it is not really suitable for running with ANC being on because when running you can hear disturbing bumps inside your headphones and the mic quality is the same as shown in video, kinda poor, but other than that i use them with my external mic and i love them, i highly recommend it

Can you use any razer app on this to modulate EQ settings and stuff like that? Or does this not connect to any apps or even synapse? Also, does it come with a carrying case?
@@siddhantbhusari I've tried it with warzone and it's good when you're playing solos. However, if you plan to communicate through discord while playing, it just won't work unless the audio output in warzone will be set to Hands Free Audio instead of Stereo, which is just poor quality. According to Razer in one of their forums, the Bluetooth bandwidth is incapable of handling two-way comms plus in-game audio on PC.
It's fine. It blocks out most ambient noises (air conditioner, exhaust fans, etc.) but conversations are just toned down but still hearable without any sound playing in the headset. Once you play some music though, you can't hear most noises. You can also really tell the difference with ANC on, off, or ambient mode.
This headset sucks, you cannot use the stereo mode and the mic at the same time. If you want to be able to use the mic it forces you into handsfree mode, and it sounds like absolute trash. This is not a gaming headset, do not waste your money on this headset. Razer should be ashamed of this headset. YOU CANNOT USE THE STEREO OR LOW LATENCY MODE AT THE SAME TIME AS THE MIC! No discord, no ingame coms. TRASH!
doesn't matter how you praise a crappy product. a crappy product is a crappy product. the more expensive Opus ear cushions' design quality sucks and warranty categorizes splits down the seams as regular wear and tear... Company reps run you through the loop before giving you the middle finger with a smile.

Could have used a mic sample. Comfort, design and sound quality are arbitrary, but a mic sample would be solid information.

There is no product anymore that sounds like the old Krakens. Razer has changed direction in almost all their products.

Go for Kraken or Barracuda for gaming, those headphones are focused more towards music.
razer products built cheap but looks attractive
Razer Opus is built pretty solid. Had mine since 2020 and they're still going strong
