Hey good review, just a few things I would want a bit more clarity on. 1. How does the anc compare to the leading competitors like Sony or Bose. 2. Is the app necessary for the headphones?
Part of me doesn't trust Razor. I bought a pair of wired kraken headphones. Worked great and I use them for listening to audio on my PC for close to a year. Finally had some time to game and when I tried to use them for gaming the mic was garbled. I realized I had never actually tried the mic before, so I contacted them about it. This was maybe a month away from warranty end. They got back to me after a few days and between the back and forth my headphones left warranty. Finally when I said that I wanted to exchange them they refused.

Dimitry looking 🔥 ! Great review, I'm so sold on the color it looks really neat. I really want to try them but it really looks like a promising product.
I would have liked more comparisons to the XM3 as they are current considered best in class by many. Is the ANC better than the XM3? Is the sound better? etc. I don't know the headphones you used as a reference point. Also do they have touch control or is everything done with those buttons? Can you even skip tracks? I'm sorry, but this review missed so many of the basic talking talking point and failed to properly place others in context.
I need some serious advice on a good gaming headset for PS4. I'm looking for a headset with an Excellent microphone. The game noise quality is absolutely not as important as the microphone and I cannot stress this I NEED the microphone to not pick up any outside noise. I live in a very busy city with constant loud noises and a pet bird who chirps through the day. I would like for the microphone to just pick up my voice as clear as possible. 200 US dollars is my max price
How did you change presets in the Equaliser from 7:25 to 7:40 in real-time while displaying the same screen on the right side of the phone? I'm a UX designer and I just got into motion graphics and displaying in-app functionality in a more cinematic way and this is exactly what I was going for. I would LOVE for you to share your process (but I understand if you don't want to publicize it as well 😉 ). Once again - great B-roll and informative content!
Thanks for the review. Can you tell me about the ear pad replacement process. I just experienced extreme frustration trying to replace them on Bose Soundlink, in fact I never got it done. Thanks!
I'm a little bit conflicted on the title of the video. Maybe @HardwareCanucks can clarify it. Every aspect on the hardware of this headphone looks on par, if not better (usb c, adapters and multiple buttons), than most high-end wireless headphones. The downside, which is understandable, is the software side. Everything seems lacking features and unfinished/rushed. Now the tittle, for me, feels like Razer failed on their launch and this headphone is mediocre at best, but all the features looks great. ANC looks like is actually decent, buttons are very useful with different textures, software does the job but poorly on some aspects. So why "At Least They Tried"? I think it's a little bit harsh statesmen considering the main competitor offer. Looks to me a good pair of $200 earphones. If they fix the software features, I might consider buying this one as I am looking for a pair to daily drive and the momentum 3 are in the $350 range right now. edit: I was wrong on the direct competitor. It's the $260 Sennheiser PXC. But it is still valid to compare both.
Would you say that the ANC on this is better than the XM3s? The review also doesn't comment much on sound quality and different music tracks. ANC headphone reviews really need to include comment comparison on the XM3s and the Bose 700s!
Razer headphones remember me of the tiamat 2.2, with the idea of putting subwoofers in the headphone with the normal audio drivers, sadly it doesn’t sounded rlly well
These headphones are EXACTLY the same as the WH-1000XM3s. The location of all the buttons, the ear cups, the minimal looks and even the carrying case are pretty much the same
So just a little more to perfection - add an ANC switch + indicator and battery indicator on the headset, and some iOS software improvement for just the battery percentage indication. It's actually a good buy or is OPUS 2 worth the wait? Hmm.
Review the LucidSound LS50x wireless headset. They are very good in my opinion. Its made for Xbox (via dongle) and bluetooth. The dongle also works with PC and uses Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonin. USB-C charging with 20hrs battery life. Constructed very good, solid. You can listen to PC/Xbox audio and bluetooth audio (ex. phone) in the same time if you like.
Tbh, I'm more surprised your text mentions them in competition to the Bose QC35II, when they have been succeeded by the NC700. And honestly the design of the Razer looks way too close to the Bose NC700 for my taste... Additionally about the lifestyle thing, Razer had a line of DJ and studio monitors years ago, so this would not really be the first time they try something like it ^_^
If this is your new recording studio - you need to improve the acoustics, you can hear a lot of room echoes (maybe you still don't have enough PC cases, boxes, etc. ;-) in the room).
THX certification means nothing here, just an EQ preset in the app ... Razer paid to have a cool logo on the box, and boy have they used it on every corner :D
Guys your video didn't pop up on my feed for a while hope your doing great, I'm really digging the cinematic look in the video with the natural lens fringe and chromatic aberration As for the product everything seems fine except the mic, with 200USD tag I think it's competitive, but how it compares to the Sony wh1000xm3 thingy?
These look slick. What about latency with PC use? Any good for gaming? It seems these are made by sony, rebranded WH-1000XM2s! Hence the good ANC. Nobody can match sony and now all of the sudden razer can?? How would u compair these with the sony XM3s? Same, better, "worse"? Are they slightly comparable with those?
@Hardware Canucks When using them in a gaming environment, i.e. chatting with other squadmates, or in a discord chat, how did the mic quality fair? Were others able to efficiently hear you? I'm asking because I know for several of their other headsets, mic quality has been a pretty high-flying issue. Particularly speaking, with the Nari's of either model.

You look even more like Star Lord now with those head phones on.
I wonder if the Razer OPUS is good for gaming as well?
Tbh, I'm more surprised your text mentions them in competition to the Bose QC35II, when they have been succeeded by the NC700.
And honestly the design of the Razer looks way too close to the Bose NC700 for my taste...
Additionally about the lifestyle thing, Razer had a line of DJ and studio monitors years ago, so this would not really be the first time they try something like it ^_^
I just bought razer's headphones, right now for 140, not bad price I think, you think is a wise decision?
Sony XM3: _exist_
Razer: That's a nice pair of headphones you got there. It would be a shame if someone were to... slap a Razer sticker on them...
Do you think these would work well on PC with a 3.5mm cable and a DAC?
Wait.... THESE ARE BASICALLY WH1000MX3'S!
Their designs are so similar!
Guys your video didn't pop up on my feed for a while hope your doing great, I'm really digging the cinematic look in the video with the natural lens fringe and chromatic aberration
As for the product everything seems fine except the mic, with 200USD tag I think it's competitive, but how it compares to the Sony wh1000xm3 thingy?
Depends on you, I would go with razer (RAZER CULT) but wh1000xm3 seems to be a safer choice
Hi, nice video. Just a quick question, does the headset have mic in it? Thank you
Yes, mic not great tho
@Hardware Canucks When using them in a gaming environment, i.e. chatting with other squadmates, or in a discord chat, how did the mic quality fair? Were others able to efficiently hear you? I'm asking because I know for several of their other headsets, mic quality has been a pretty high-flying issue. Particularly speaking, with the Nari's of either model.
Hey yo guys! Any chance for a review of the new surface headphones?
Cheers!
