  • No matter how well you treat your iPhone 11 the battery that powers it won’t last forever. iPhone batteries last, on average, around 500 cycles which means after 2 years of use, you're probably going to at least notice a decline in performance. But you can fix this problem!
    Make sure you follow the step by step guide on iFixit.com when you are doing your repair.

      @@jeffcharlesaerialphotograp1367 Of course it's worth while to pay $110 for a new battery if you have no choice. Point taken. But there is no real reason to make it so complicated to swap out the very component that is the most likely to degrade over time. Imagine if all battery operated devices were so designed.

      I replaced battery on my iPhone 7 Plus but ripped the ribbon to the Taptic Engine so had to buy one off ebay and reopened it all all again. Wasn’t much to get a new one but it’s far too easy to catch or twist the ribbons.

      I won't speak for iFixit, but based on other iPhone battery repair videos I've seen, it's a lot easier to remove the pull-tabs with those components removed. With them in-place, it's much easier to break the tabs, which will make it a lot harder to get the old battery out without causing damage.

    Isn't every iPhone 11 still under warranty since it has not yet existed for a year?

    • @jonas8266
      @jonas8266 4 года назад +16

      Yes, but it only cover defect batteries.
      People who use their iPhone heavily, play heavy games every day and fast-charge it every night might have lost a few percentages on the battery health.

      _CR4SH, that means nothing to me anymore.
      Apple could do a complete redesign and two months later people would say it’s dated.

    Really sad this is the last iPhone that still allows third party to replace it, because the new iPhone 12 is bond with software, if you change the parts, the phone will not function normally or not at all.

    Hey, I just did this. Took about 4 hours. Would I do it again? Definitely not! Apple is making it more and more difficult for the average consumer to do it themselves. Thank you for the video though! It was extremely helpful!
    I don’t recommend anyone else doing this. Just pay someone else to do it for you. It’s not worth your time and money!

    When changing a battery do u loose everything on the phone like apps etc?

    • @mark929rr5
      @mark929rr5 3 месяца назад

      Yes. The battery stores all the information in your phone. Same as a car battery. If you change the battery in your car it will lose all the information to make your car run. Never change a battery in anything. Do not watch this video.
