You can substitute with corn syrup.
Are these the dried and salted anchovies or non-salted? I have salted ones and wanted to know if I should do anything different to them.
This is dried anchovies. Because it comes from the sea, it has a natural salty taste.
What syrup are you adding at the end? What would I be looking for at the Korean grocery store? Love your food!

Don't we have to remove the head and the guts of the medium sized anchovies?
Only large anchovies for broth remove the intestines. Do not remove the head.The head also tastes good.
