Can I set my budget in Everydollar for a bi-weekly payment? I get paid twice a month but it seems to be set for just monthly and I'm more comfortable with doing it bi-weekly along with monthly.
What I do is list an ‘income’ for each paycheck. So, my paycheck next Friday (12th) will be for 30th/1st/2nd/3rd. I start a new department and schedule next week, so my next ‘income’ will be the following Friday and will reflect my new schedule and pay. Hope that helps!
Savings is the overall umbrella and emergency fund and sinking funds are under that umbrella. - emergency fund - 3-6 months of bills to cover job loss, or unexpected emergencies. - sinking funds - separate from emergency, these funds can be allocated to expected costs, new tires, or you know your roof will need to be replaced soon etc or also fun things like a new car, vacation etc
Bank of America offers features for budgeting and you can link accounts similar to mint. Although the user interface is a little antiquated, it still does the job and it’s free if you already bank with them.
Hi,I live in Europe, following your advice,is it okay to use every dollar for me too? The euro is worth about the same as the dollar, thanks for a reply👍
I get paid on the 15th and the 30th of each month, so it doesn't make sense to include paycheck #2 on my monthly budget as it will be used towards the following month. Am I lost here? Help!!
Such a bummer they won’t help folks in comments. Ps. It’s just a plan. Don’t worry about 1st and 15th. Just look at the past and guess income for month.
So what about the money that's currently in your account. Say you start tracking your monthly income while having say, $60 currently in your account, you make $500/w how would you show that on the app. Not just what you make weekly

Thank you Rachel this is helpful.
How do I add a second user so they can see the same budget on the app?
Thank you, Rachel. 💝
I just set up my first budget with Every Dollar, thank you!
I use my income from the previous month on mine. For example, January's paychecks= February's budget.
I’m confused on savings and sinking funds. I’m supposed to take the money out of checking and move it to the designated account right?

I wish this was available in Canada Ontario :(
Is the app You Need a Budget (YNAB) available in Canada? It also uses the zero-based budgeting method :)
Why is this not available in canada???

The app isn't available in the UK 😢

I would just add that as income.
I don't see how to add sinking fund items. Sorry if it's obvious. Thank you for any help.
There's a little plus sign bottom right when you click on that category
