The Dave Ramsey Show this is a wake up call to reality Mr. Ramsey thank you for all your advises. I need your help enlighten me how to get out of this please.
Most successful people started from nothing. They didn’t wait for the opportunity to knock but created the opportunity on their own by working hard. Thankgoodness i found Mr carlos kingston a pro forex trader, now I have been trading with him for about 7 mounths now and I earn up to $15,000 weekly. i guess this is the epic start to a new chapter in my life. I just feel like more evevryone should be made aware of this opportunity, feel free to contact him @carlos_1uptrades on Instergram his indeed a genius.
I watched it at least once a month. That's how I stayed focus on my budget, I now have 17,500.00 for our emergency fund and only left is my house. Thank you Jesus!!!
When I Started my snowball I wrote it down in front of my desk: "I WORK SO HARD TO BE THIS BROKE". 16 months later I am debt free. This guy changes lives.
+MrGiggity890 I also do a bit of a hybrid plan but the basic principles remain...make money, avoid making disastrous financial decisions with debt, save and invest like a boss.
Broke people shouldn’t go on vacatio, unfortunately I have many friends that go on vacations with car debt, c/c debt, tickets, issues and they look at me crazy and advise me to live my life. Well there not my friends anymore!
Having a budget has literally changed my life! I'll be on baby step 2 for a total of 18 months, but finally having a plan and telling my money where to go has given me back the hope that I had lost. Now THAT is priceless :)
- Your money is out of control when it's out of control. - When you're faithful for the little the things, you'll be given more to manage. - When you aim at nothing you'll hit it every time.
I can't do the electronic budget without having it on paper too. I write everything on a calendar (due dates, pay days etc) and it just keeps me organized.
Yup same here! I’m an old school paper/calendar type person. If it’s electronic, it’s just not as encouraging to me lol gotta be on paper in front of me
I do mine on an Excel spreadsheet instead. My income can be anywhere from $3-4k per month depending on my overtime so I basically need to do a What-If Analysis for each scenario.
people always think a budget means you can't ever do anything and it's quite the contrary. when we did our budget we discovered we had so much money left over after bills that we never knew we had. it's amazing and freeing!
I used to feel like "budget" was a bad word, like having one wouldn't allow me to have any fun. But since I have finally taken the time to tell my money exactly what to do, I find that I have not only more fun, but more money as well. Definitely a win-win!
I used to be pretty good with money without a written budget. But then my roommate moved out and suddenly everything is twice as expensive. I remember looking at my savings account getting smaller and smaller and thinking, "I don't know what to do." So I moved out of that place, got myself a small, one bedroom apartment. Still was struggling, so that's when I did some serious budgeting. Everything written out and tracked. Suddenly I didn't have panic attacks every time I spent money. Registration notice came in the mail that I needed to renew the tags on my car? No biggie. I've got a "car fund" where I saved a little aside every month to take care of car expenses that might not have accounted for. Phone died? No biggie. Internet bill due? I got it covered.
We had 30000 debt from student loans and from my husband not having a job for few months . We paid in 3 years . We did not go for a strict budget . But we did reasonable spending. We would go out for vacation only once a year not to expensive places . If we ate in a expensive restaurant then we would take one month break to go out again to expensive restaurant . Did some couponing and basically did not buy any stuff for 3 years . Things like having loads of clothes shoes and furniture will not help if you r in debt especially. All the free money went to debt payment. I would say don't stop having fun, we would still go out to movies and go out small vacations but don't overdo it when you are in debt . Now we plan to pay off our house in 6-8 years . It is incredible feeling to have to not to owe anything to anyone . It's so much mental peace which I think is what everyone wants in life.
Having an “every dollar” budget has been absolutely transformational for my household. We’re saving money that we had no idea was even there. My wife and I use an app that syncs between our phones. We enter every single dollar we spend in the app so we always know how we’re tracking against our targets. We’re so much more conscious about our spending now.
@@michaelfleming40 So long as they're happy earning their own income and never sharing a bank account should the relationship go far enough to need joint finances, I'm game. Single is still easier though, by miles.
I’m a young bachelor farmer, 4th generation. Still full time farming, but also got an off farm full time job to pay off my student loans. I’m tired, physically, mentally, emotionally, and it can be hard to stay optimistic especially with out a spouse to encourage me. But I’ve been tackling it, because I know it’s the best thing for the farm in the long run. Thanks for the encouragement
A written budget has LITERALLY changed my financial life. Two years going now and can never imagine living without one - not going back to that life! Thank you, Dave!
"You will add a layer of communication to your marriage that will change your marriage. In a good way." He is so right. You are required to communicate so much to stay on track. And your goals are kept in the line of fire.
My wife and I had our first baby and I decided to get serious about finances. Downloaded the every dollar app and put in the numbers and realized that we are over budget. Even after subtracting everything that I could we are still over budget. I feel like I have let my family down and it is not a good feeling. I should have listened to people like Dave Ramsey a long time ago.
TADAAAAA - today I'm going to start being competent. Thank you so much for the encouragement. I desperately need to make some sacrifices in my personal life to improve the well being of my four children. This gave me some hope at a time I really needed it. I have been using Every Dollar and tracking my finances for quite a while so I know where my money goes.
