Yep! We need them too! Growing up around a radio Station, and later being in a Record Pool for over 10 years, 90 % of my collection is made up of Promo copies, It's ALL I look for when browsing around for records, I LOVE the AC/DC Powerage promo with press release bio and photo, I recently acquired a Back in Black promo with Radio station track listing on the front. Nice to see someone who likes these copies of records like myself, Oh yeah, 45s (7-inch records,) are also fun to collect. These promos with the various versions on each side Mono & Stereo for AM stations and FM stations, when most stations only Played vinyl records before using carts etc. Nice video, I subscribed and look forward to seeing more on the subject of record collecting.
🤷🏼♀️promo 45s were sent to record stores? I have gotten many promo 45s at flea markets but wondered where people got them if they weren't sold in stores. I recently found a John Conley promo 45 at a flea market and wondered where they bought it if not sold in stores 🤷🏼♀️ could you please help me understand where a promo was bought back in the day. 🙂Thank you
i know there's 2 different types of promos, some albums will just be rubber stamped promo, the label will be the same as the store copy, i have a few of those and the other type ,it will say DJ copy, audition copy right on the label.

Nice Promo collection. May need to do a video on mine!
Thanks! 😃 Yes definitely! I didn’t realize that I had so many promo copies. Most didn’t even appear in the video.

I think I’ve seen rubber stamped copies out in the wild. I don’t think I have any in my collection though….yet 😂
I think i only have 1 white label. I have a few of the gold stamped. New sub
Thanks 😃 it’s always fun finding a white label
i also read someplace, that some promo copies will be higher sound quality.
Some in the 80’s used Quiex or Quiex II vinyl which was high quality virgin (translucent) vinyl.
@@SafeAndSoundTXAudioExcursion yeah david, i have heard of the quiex!!
