Well... its 2022 now and I think the next step in the evolution of this fine rifle ought to be the introduction of additional chamberings and a new long action version. I would love to see the following added to the short action lineup: 7mm08, 7SAUM, 300WSM. And a new line of long actions in: 270WIN, 280REM, 30/06, 284WIN, 7mmREMMAG, 300WINMAG Yes... I know... 284 in a long action is kind of exotic... it would be nice to see that cartridge resurrected in the mainstream which would take a colaboration between the ammo mfrs and rifle mfrs... market it as the next new thing... resurrected from old. There is a reason why it is a favorite in F-class... it is a sweet spot cartridge.
Just wish you could test before purchasing due to a hefty price tag.. Aesthetically this bolt rifle looks awesome and ticks all the boxes but as a performer that comes with a .75 MOA I would love some range time to test this 2020 Waypoint.
I would love to see just a black tactical type rifle in this...also, when will the stores see them? None of my dealers have any dates that they are available.
Do you have some slop in the mag? I picked one up and just handling the gun drives me nuts because the metal on the mag interacts way too much in the feed. Let me know please so I can take it up with Springfield if need be.
Good review! A kill shot would have been nice! How did the Fed Terminal Ascent perform ? You left us a little thin... How about 5 shots at paper when you confirmed zero at hunting camp.. There are in depth reviews on you tube...Overall capable of .5 MOA in the right hands..
Here's the full hunt with kill shots: ruclips.net/video/MFwkLCCgQxQ/видео.html. I've used Terminal Ascent now for a couple of years on multiple animals, and it has performed great. I shot a ewe bighorn sheep with it this year and recovered the bullet -- perfect mushroom (watch here: ruclips.net/video/dH7R6KyZiLg/видео.html). Thanks for stopping by! -JD
Will this do for holding off zombie hoards? I'm not even kidding. I know hunting rifles are made with thinner barrels for less weight, but will this thing shoot shot after shot without heating up too much? Maybe the fluted barrel is better? Help me out!
Called them 2 weeks ago. They told me they didnt know when the rifles would be shipped to shops. I really want one, but if they dont hurry up, I'll go with Weatherby which is way more expensive :(
No where near adequate impact velocity at 1000 yards with a 6.5 Creedmoor. Federal would never try to make that claim about that ammo in that cartridge. Just because we have sweet tools that enable shooting an previously unobtainable distances, doesn’t mean a Creedmoor is a 1000 yard hunting round 🤯🤦♂️
@@Dlust88 I understand, but man that's just how the gun industry works nowadays, along with many other industries. If it ain't broke, why fix it? And if you're legally able base your new product off of a proven design platform, then you'll put your own spin on it and make it.

I have seen videos now some people are now getting better than advertised .75 I am definitely interested its on my next list .
I am going to my FFL tomorrow and order a Carbon Fiber barrel with a fixed stock and evergreen camo in 6.5 PRC

We haven’t seen that on ours!
Man I want one of these but in a 7mm rem mag. Love the carbon fiber but its slippery as heck so id add some gun tape to it.

Still can’t find this rifle in the stores and I checked everywhere.
No mention of what kind of metal the receiver is made of? I hope it's not cast like their M1-A's are.
ear protection could be vital with hunting rifle with a break
Sweet rifle for the price. Downside for me is 90 degree bolt throw. It is the only reason I did not order one.

😂😂😂wtf
I ordered fluted for more shot capabilities
still waiting for the release,,nobody seems to have a clue
They are out . Sportsman guide , etremeguns both have them
Waiting on the finds I'm definitely getting one . The carbon barreled one is a bit more but shaves another 1/2 lb .
I bought the 308 yesterday. I really wanted the 6.5 Creed, but no ammo anywhere.

They told me end of December
I wish they made the 308 in a 22" barrel length. Only thr 6.5 CM comes in that

That’s the gun counter bs that has every bro in the woods toting one.
I got mine in 308. I prefer that for my distance and better impact.
What bipod/scope is on the rifle?!
Magpul Bipod for M-LOK and a couple of different options from Burris, which can be seen here: ruclips.net/video/GIEsSS7-WmU/видео.html
It looks nice
I thought he was going to show some hunting shots on Deer with the rifle..
90 degree bolt is a negative?
To bad you can’t get it. Should be titled 2021. If your lucky.
Isnt it just a beefed 700?
In a way yes, the bolt action design is loosely based off of a Model 700 platform. So, yes and no?
@@propbraker tired of seeing revamped 700’s, 10/22’s, and glocks from different manufactures.

I really like this rifle but it's nowhere to be found

This must have been a bad day
Worthless gun if you can't find one to buy 🙄
Disrespectful putting that magpul bipod on that rifle
LOL to each their own. Works well for me. -JD
