I used to want one so bad as a single mother of one young son. I went to a tiny house convention with my mama and quickly changed my mind. There’s no way! When we were both inside I realized I couldn’t share such a small space with a person.
It's really not that bad if you have a bedroom bathroom kitchen living room it's easy to get used to one way to know if you could do it stay in a Travel Trailer
I as well love that blue!!! Cornflower blue in the crayoyla box in the 80’s sadly they retired it! I found it made everything bright and full of peace!
I wouldn’t want to live that close to the edge of the hill. But I can see you definitely would get a nice view. My dentist has a bathroom sink like you do , it is very small. Your home and land is very nice. I like the idea of your shipping container for extra room 👍
I thought this very same thing. 5 years ago. I got off a 7 month, 7 day a week job. I looked around my 3 bedroom home and ask myself. What do I use here, I use the kitchen, bath and one bedroom. So I made the move and would not have it any other way. There is always a but tho, so here goes.....I already had land, tools plus I'm single. I do rescue any size animal so they also had to have new housing, fences, kennels and all that applies. Everyrime I leave the tiny home to stay in my camper ( thats on a section of Inherited land ) all but cattle, pigs have to go with me. 😂 Its a lot of work moving 9 dogs, 2 cats, 1parrot and a baby turtle ( which lives inside only when cold ). So living tiny, yes it can be done but if you have pets......please accommodate and have a plan for them or for them all. Note: cattle, chickens and the pig can be unattended for a few days at a time but I do leave plenty of hay, water and food besides what they eat naturally like grass. I didn't want anyone thinking they starve or freeze while I'm away! 🐈🐈🐾🐾🐖🐄🐂🐔🐓🐦🐢 🌱🌳. The money that is saved is so well worth it all. Less stress added to my quality of freedom and life 💗.
I sighed with relief when I saw the shipping container. Not watched it all yet, but I know for certain there'd have to be a bed and some form of heating for when one of us needs time out. Update..... Pretty teeny tiny home with a beautiful cat!!
Very nice! I like buying the land to put your house on is so much nicer than living in a trailer park with very limited space. Some people love the community feeling but we prefer more distance from our neighbors. And room to park cars when we have friends over. Smartly done and having a storage shed/building is a necessity I believe. We can live tiny, but reality means we need tools, and other stuff that will not fit in a tiny house.
I LOVE the land they have. It’s freakin’ amazing. I think it’s great that they have figured out a way to make the Tiny work for them. I wish them well.
As a single older person, i could see myself in a tiny home...not too small, but where i can not be afraid which is a concern for me. This young couple seem to have a good start!!❤❤
Lol, that looks like the Ikea Ivar drop leaf table, cause I still have mine. Good job on all the work they’ve done, but a dark green painted storage container to blend into the plant surroundings would have been my preference as going from grey to navy blue, still looks like you’re in an industrial yard, heck paint trees on the thing even lol. 🍻
What a lovely couple and their equally lovely home and land! It was a great idea to use the container for additional space. It's very cool. Thanks for the tour! 💕
Living your life! I love the tiny house, but it’s just too small for me. If you two are happy and love it there then I am happy for you and wish you all the best . God bless
That's beautiful. The one thing about that bathroom sink is you can't bend your head over it and spit, that's probably why you can't use it for toothbrushing as he pointed out. I never would have thought of that, but saw another TH with one and the owner mentioned it. I wonder if it could be brought out from the wall. That is such a beautiful location and the shipping container is a nice thing to have
I lived in Seattle for 6 months as a travel RN. I lived in a hotel. Because even with travel RN pay, I could NOT justify what WA, OR, CA charges for rent. I literally have NO clue how people make it out there. Good for these two!!!
Great spot! i live in n. Maine and put powder-coated metal siding OVER my cedar siding (same problem with three feet of snow all winter). The extra R factor is GREAT and the wind is cut way down too. You will need to put strapping down first to even out the walls but for snow it is WAY better than wood. Or just put a metal skirt around the bottom slightly above your snow line.
I’d live in a tiny home in a heart beat, when I looked into it I couldn’t find land to put it on. Are there communities where there is land to rent a space? Seems with the real estate situation in the county, this is the future. Love to hear about options of where I could park and settle. Great videos, thank you
I’ve recently saw these stairs by a new designer which fold length ways against a wall, they use hinges & they clip in place when in use & are pretty good.they’re also made to custome specifications. Can’t remember the designers name, but he was (with his team of joiners/builders etc) where doing up a small flat.. Also making a large house into smaller apartments. There’s lots of videos which have invisible furniture or multi use/ foldaway furniture etc.. on you tube. 🥳🥳
Lovely tiny home, I’ve heard that if you don’t have air circulating under your mattress mold can start. Have you had any issues?? My husband and I would need more room plus we have a basset hound and five cats.
The property is gorgeous so I would imagine you would be outside most of the time, I would think they would want a sitting living room a little bit larger for relaxing inside.
Really appealing, you've done a fine job. Quick tip: cats don't need litter boxes if they have access to outdoors. Overnight no problem. Try it, you'll be glad.
I curious wind factor on the edge of hill, cause big homes have it hard noisy scary, xo these guys ever feel that is an issue, or more the snow. Were not in a snowy country so dont know how to feel. Love tiny. Better then car, tent.
You three have a nice home, best of luck to you. You certainly live in a very beautiful part of the country, I did not realize housing was so expensive there BUT where isn't it expensive these days!?!😜 In watching several of these Tiny Home videos I am not sure I could live in one. Most seem too tiny for me.
Do you run a tiny home real-estate? I can't seem to find one. Finding a community of them with electric and plumbing has been impossible. Although I think today it could be a huge market
Would be interested how they finance the properties on this channel. Lots don't have the cash up front, are there loan options for non-conventional homes/properties like these?
The house has an unusual floorplan. I'm surprised that all of the bathroom was not placed at the back, freeing up more square footage in the middle for a lounge area near the front.
I lived in Bellingham and nothing was said where they work because if they get snow up there ,good luck leaving your driveway. Otherwise cute place and nice property for sure.
It’s really cute, but honestly I could never live in it full time, it’s just too small. It would be fine as an occasional holiday home for about a (maximum) 2 week stay, but that would be it !! Without their extra storage container where on earth would they keep all their stuff 🤷♀️
The price they stated , over 600,00 is ridiculous. I've never found one at any of the builders at that high price. I think it would be liveable with all the outside space they use.
God bless your heart I wish you would have known advance to put your mini split downstairs. H e a t Rises up therefore you wouldn't have been too hot both levels would have. Cool goes down so all you would have needed to keep cool upstairs at the fan maybe it's not too late to move your mini split good luck and enjoy❤❤❤❤
Those in the comments saying they couldn’t live in a small space with their wife or husband seems odd because you should love them unconditionally and be able to live in a close space with them because either bet most of you would leave your wife or husband and not think twice if you couldn’t live in a place like this with your wife or husband.
I own a 6000 square foot land lot in Stockton California, I have a live water meter in my name directly on my property. I was told by John Schweigerdt the deputy director in the Stockton Planning Board that I cannot build anything in the way of a house, and not allowed to place anything on the property even to do gardening for my own use unless I first pay $17941.00 for a building permit and in addition to that I need to pay a 2399.00 "site plan review fee". I was told that these fees are for "Community Development Fees ". I asked everyone in the Stockton Planning Board if there were any programs to pay these fees in stages, or anything to help pay over several months. - I was told No such programs exist. The city of Stockton prohibits any kind of trailers or Tiny houses of the king in this video. And nothing to help a elderly disabled man like me and my service dog. I
It's sad that the hellacious home inflation is forcing people to compromise for significantly smaller homes on wheels. But if they are truly happy with what they've got, then more power to them. Me personally, I'm about to close on a 932 sq ft house/property for 240K. But while I'm happy about it, I'm also quite anxious about the whole thing as well. If there was suitable land that was cheap enough to buy and put a tiny home on, I most likely would've gone in that direction instead. But from where I live, that option seems a bit too far of reach unfortunately. So now I'm finding myself having to settle for something else that'll help sink my money even further.
The orientation of the ladder to get up to their bedroom loft makes me nervous, seems like you'd have to be super super careful to turn and step from the ladder to the loft part. Yikes!
I'm not sure I could share such a tiny space with a human companion, but the property is gorgeous.
She said that too, at the beginning
Yup , it's a no for me .
I agree!
I used to want one so bad as a single mother of one young son. I went to a tiny house convention with my mama and quickly changed my mind. There’s no way! When we were both inside I realized I couldn’t share such a small space with a person.

The property makes such a beautiful setting for their tiny home.
They should install solar panels on the shipping container, get a ton of panels cover all that space!
OH MY GOSH, that view is GORGEOUS!
I as well love that blue!!! Cornflower blue in the crayoyla box in the 80’s sadly they retired it! I found it made everything bright and full of peace!

To each our own !! Good for them if both of them are able to live in that extremely small space ..
( I couldn’t )

Beautiful home and property! For that area of WA - that’s beyond a bargain! All the best!
I sighed with relief when I saw the shipping container. Not watched it all yet, but I know for certain there'd have to be a bed and some form of heating for when one of us needs time out.
Update.....
Pretty teeny tiny home with a beautiful cat!!

I like the washing machine tub being repurposed as a fire pit burning barrel.
Beautiful home and it looks very peaceful 😊
I would be over the moon to have such a lovely home.
As a single older person, i could see myself in a tiny home...not too small, but where i can not be afraid which is a concern for me. This young couple seem to have a good start!!❤❤
Especially with Alzheimer’s and dementia. These things are so great for older people mentally.
Lol, that looks like the Ikea Ivar drop leaf table, cause I still have mine. Omgoodness, what a beautiful view and property. I absolutely adore living in the pacific northwest.
I am so happy for this couple; they seem like such genuine people.
Beautiful scenery. Personally, I could not live in that - it's is too narrow.
Living your life! I love the tiny house, but it’s just too small for me. If you two are happy and love it there then I am happy for you and wish you all the best . God bless
I love the wood in this beautiful little house. ❤
Great home and beautiful cat!
Their property is gorgeous! Love that sweet cat too
The on demand hot water heater would be absolutely worth it! Also it saves space!
Great out door living space. Very cute home.
One word.. STUNNING ❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧

Just for the property ❤ I will live there in a zap. Congrats on having an amazing home.
I couldn't like in such a small space, but this couple did a great job of living within their means.
BEAUTIFUL!🎉
HOWEVER I JST LOVED MY FUNCTIONAL WASHROOM
AND WARM HOUSE
I can appreciate the storage they have in their container space but overall a nice place to live😊
Love the warm coziness of it all. What a beautiful house with a beautiful view! You two have it all! Kudos!
It is a beautiful land& space. It is a bit small, but with your own land you could expand.😊
I lived in Seattle for 6 months as a travel RN. I lived in a hotel. Because even with travel RN pay, I could NOT justify what WA, OR, CA charges for rent. I literally have NO clue how people make it out there. Good for these two!!!
Geez, didn't realize Bellingham was that expensive!

We are in times to not be complicated. 🏠❤
Am not sure about this one definitely wouldn't be my choice of tiny! But if it works for this couple then that's all that matters.
The tiny house is so adorable. Big happy little house. so beautiful, thank you for sharing
Beautifully designed and decorated, Awesome 👌 👏
Congratulations to both of you on your Awesome tiny house, land and all.
Such a beautiful view !!!💓💓💓💓
Try using a fan to distribute the air conditioning and the heating hun. Works great in my apartment.

Yes Actually. The channel has uploaded videos showing these communities. 🎉❤
As a couple they get on and they have the advantage of outside space

Great ideas, esp the shipping container,I will borrow this idea as I prepare to build a family home.
😊I live in Bellingham,WA. That's a awesome home wow!
Teee-nineee!! Especially for 2 adults!! Wow, bless ‘m!!
Omg that’s where I live 😮!
Yes it’s very expensive in that region We live in a Rv w/our son and pet
The property is gorgeous so I would imagine you would be outside most of the time, I would think they would want a sitting living room a little bit larger for relaxing inside.
You have a wonderful life.❤
Really appealing, you've done a fine job. Quick tip: cats don't need litter boxes if they have access to outdoors. Overnight no problem. Try it, you'll be glad.
Very cute tiny house and property. You have beautiful surroundings and privacy. Love it! Congrats!
It rains a lot here - I think the cat might not want to go out in the rain.
Lovely home and location, but the icing on the cake was Hobie - the spitting image of my last cat, even down to the way she makes muffins.
Hobie might be the star of this episode🌟
Super nice. The only thing I would do differently is to change the ladder back to the way it was initially.
How small for two! They are lucky that they also have land and container. I would build even more.
Excellent...this is tiny house living I envision
Adorable....GODbless from Texas🎚️🇺🇸🇨🇱🦋🦋🦋🌿🌵🌵🌵🌵
Super cute home with a million dollar view! ❤
Every time I come here I can't help but think that Jenna is so cute. It is a great channel as well.

What a beautiful tiny house and location
Wow thats so small. Im glad they like it though
What a special place 🩵💚
Very cute and a great use of space.
Kittycat Hobie is quite the cutie!
Nice house and a beautiful property!!!😊🎉❤
Really nice space. Every inch 3:12 is usable.
that is an awesome set up!!
SUPER COOL!❤
❤Beautiful spot. Think your ac/heat unit might be better if it were closer to the kitchen so air flow might be better.
great house & property! your cat is adorable ❤
No bathroom door?!! 😮 Otherwise, adorable TH & beautiful location. 😊👍
Wonder if a ceiling fan would help to level the heat?
Refreshingly honest. I loved it!

VERY NICE

I lived in Bellingham and nothing was said where they work because if they get snow up there ,good luck leaving your driveway. Otherwise cute place and nice property for sure.
They already stack up plenty of food, water, goodies in their container for the winter.
I couldn't do that, but it's a beautiful tiny home

I have heard that a beeswax annual treatment will prevent wood countertop staining.
I couldn’t deal with no door on the bathroom….what do guests do? Nice they make it work.
