Not a Fate release, but close enough. It's Arcueid Brunestud from the Tuskihime remake. Another Type-Moon production!

Dope! I remember watching the anime right after high-school 😅 i like how theyre trying to inprobe their articulation with adding an abcrunch. I think it works for some figures like Guyver and Metroid Dread... hopefully, they keep improving... but that paint issue 🤮
Nice! I've never even seen anything of the main line, I only know her from Melty Blood and Carnival Phantasm 🤣

Great Review! I just got the regular version. Feels like we would probably appreciate the accessories more once the game comes out. I own Melty Blood but I haven't played the story mode yet. All I know is that she's some kind of vampire.
I'm not sure if knowing the game would help.
I don’t mind the thigh swivels and the ab crunch, but that weird torso joint and the shoulders are pretty rough. The dress having exposed wiring was the final nail in the coffin for me. Saved me $85 + shipping. Thanks, friend.

Of course the figma I’ve been waiting 10 years for has issues. Sigh. This is no way to treat my Best Girl, Good Smile. I’m sure Ciel, who I couldn’t care less about, will turn out amazing.
I received mine from Good Smile’s US shop a few days ago. Fortunately, I haven’t handled her much yet, so thanks to your review, I may be able to avoid the paint rub and chipping that you experienced. Avoiding something that should never have been a problem in the first place doesn’t make it acceptable, though.
The ab crunch and thigh swivels don’t bother me as much because I’m accustomed to them from Marvel Legends. Having said that, even Marvel Legends, which are $25 figures, are getting away from using ab crunches. I do wish we had gotten more/different face plates. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but I want to see if the figma Phantasamoon head/face plate will fit. (That was actually Arcueid as well.)
Oh, well. The figure may be disappointing, but I always enjoy watching your reviews!
That's the thing that bothers me, 25$ Marvel Legends are even moving away from using ab crunches while almost 100$ figmas are going backwards. How is that a thing?

There's been a few Figmas coming out with that ab crunch aaaaand, I don't like it, I hope they drop it, it looks fine here though!
More importantly, I didn't know this figure existed! It looks cool, so I'll keep it in my radar.

Also, Figmas in general have been coming out noticeably taller, and I would've* liked it if the whole lineup was a bit bigger, especially the likes of Zero Suit Samus... But because they've been on the smaller side for so long, I'm now having a problem with these taller ones because they don't fit in too well.
I don't like the ab crunches either bro. Looks ugly and most of the time, doesn't accomplish that much.
@@therealPayne - @therealPayne - Yeah, like, I only need to say this, Spider-Man is one of, if not the* best articulated Figma ever... And he doesn't have an ab-crunch.
We don't need that! And in the case of this figure, like you said, it doesn't even accomplish all that much.
There's also those shoulders, I feel like they tried to get the advantages of a butterfly joint without actually having it, but the usual shoulders would've worked perfectly fine! And they would've been more pleasant to handle!
And if we talk about weird choices, I HAVE to go back to Sophia F. Shirring, the Bikini Armor version, they went for a clunkier, WAAAAAAAAAAAY less effective setup for the hips when we saw the previous figure with the traditional system work perfectly fine!
And that paint chipping, it happened to me on that Sophia too! Again, on those hips! It seems to me, like someone at GSC didn't know why things were the way they are, so they tried to improve the system, only to find the downsides that the previous engineering stayed away from!
Honestly I really don't get these weird articulation choices, especially when Figuarts is innovating in that aspect.They've had the tech where you just cut up the torso into 2 pieces and connecting it via dumbell joint, or some hinge ballpeg combination. Looks better imo and especially is much more effective. Why not learn from that I will never understand.
The weak paint is just not excusable at the price point. At the very least figma is consistant in painting their figures and not just delivering unpainted plastic. But it don't make a difference if the paint just rubs off.
I noticed the scale issue as well. Arcueid is more in scale with my Marvel Legends than my older figmas.

I don't get it either why they use articulation tools used on figures that are like half (or even less) the price of a figma, especially when there's better options out there.

Like in some games, before update: all fine and everyone happy. After update: lag, bugs, bad rendering, pain and everyone angry xD

Figma is becoming disapointing and expensive
Sadly true for this release.
There was a time when I was buying 1-3 figmas a month. Now I’m down to 1-3 a year. I used to buy random characters that I was unfamiliar with because the figures were SO good, but now it has to be a character that I really want and can’t get from S.H. Figuarts.
