I was here and it started to rain at the very moment they started playing it. It was a Holy moment in time. It stopped raining after the song ended. I feel blessed in my life to have experiances that concert and to see this video. Bozos son Jason was on the drums. It was at Jones Beach outside theater on the water.
That has got to be one of the most beautiful songs ever written, and the fact that this band treats the Zep songs with such respect and doesn't try to trick them up or get show offy is so awesome. Short of seeing Zeppelin themselves sing this I can't think of another way I'd rather hear this song live than with Ann at the mic.
They don't write music like this any more. An absolutely gorgeous piece of music, exuding layers of wonder, as it unfolds. A song about the seasons, and the various moods which each season brings. Page wrote a perfect piece of music here, and Robert's beautiful lyrics accompany the music perfectly 😊
@ Front Row Dave Thank you for posting this. The most magical concert of my life. I was there and as the male guitarist played the strum ( the camera was on him in the video) it started to rain lightly like a beautiful sign and a blessing on all of us there. With Jason Bonham playing drums representing his Led Zeppelin father and with our beautiful Woman of Heart calling in his spirit to be there with us. The rain started and he puts his hand up at the moment it starts ( see the video @ 1:48 ) , it was the most magical and spiritual moment in a concert that I've ever witnessed. Everyone there gasped was talking about it afterwards and we will never forget it. And the rain stopped at the end of the song. God I love them. I just noticed that Anne wore a feather pendant and i didn't think I could love them more.
John Bonham's son Jason playing the drums for Heart at Jones Beach on Long Island.....The Rain Song in the rain.....Just doesn't get any better than that.....
The gals rock, and I think are the only ones who are worthy of covering Led Zeppelin's music. This is an amazing cover. Nancy is really great on that guitar, and Ann's voice is still unmatched to this day.
Yes Ann WIlson is the Queen of ROck!!! Hail to the QUEEN :) SHe is amazing check out IN THE COOL live at Raleigh, NC an NOTHING BUT LOVE at Bridge School with Neil Young.. 64 yrs old an can blow all the young bitches rigfht off the stage love me some ANNIE!!!
thanks man. missed heart and j bon in L.A. Could not make it. did me a big favor by posting this. i expected them to do something together. just awesome.
Ann and Nancy You are both blessed with such talent and grace that sets a benchmark for all artists in the future,to hope, dream and work really hard for in trying to achieve what you two have done.I was at this show and a good distance away. The very lucky ones at the stage witnessing close up the energy, talent and stunning beauty of you both.I 1st saw you in Me. you were warm up for Outlaws which was reason i went, you opened with Sylvan,Love Alive.I Never saw a good mass shocking like that EVER
I do my best to bring the shows to the people who cannot make it for whatever reason....and I NEVER monetize my videos or sell the raw footage or trade, regardless of how many times I am asked to do so.....I do it all....for the FANS. ROCK ON Medusa!
This is such a beautiful song the Wilson sisters are the only ones other than LZ than could ever pull it off. KILLER VOICE ANNE!!! Nancy is a awesome guitarist!!! Well done sisters ........🌷🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️
As hard as it was for Heart to become Recognized as a Female rock band in their early years 1970, their influence has always been Led Zeppelin as illustrated by Nancy's strong guitar playing and Ann's unbelievable vocals. Through the years Heart has clearly reached the "Female Rock Band" status that eluded so many other Female bands. The tributes to their Idol, Led Zeppelin is bar non second to no one, Period! !!!!. Having had the chance to see Heart and Led Zeppelin many many times throughout my life, I await another chance to catch another show by these two either group.
Heart wasn't a female rock band though. It was founded by four men and is to this day 4/6 male. Ann and Nancy definitely are the drivers now, but when it started it was a band of 6 equals like Fleetwood Mac. Those original guys all had a stake in the Heart brand name that they sold when they left, and they all still make money off Heart album sales.
Hello Brian, I hope you enjoy the videos! This was my first time for Heart since the 80's....and although they have many great songs they were never on my "favorites" list....until now.....I feel they treated the music of Led Zeppelin with the utmost respect and for that alone I am now a huge fan of theirs....Rock On!
Front Row Dave -You should be able to find other reasons...but your so right about respecting the music. I presume you've seen the Kennedy Center honore' dinner from 2012? Heart w/Jason Bonham playing Led Zepplin for Led Zepplin. (along with others).
Thanks for the vid! My first ever concert was Day On The Green July 4th 1981 Oakland Stadium. I was 15. Heart was the headliner. It was amazing Ozzy was there with Randy Rhoads. Tomorrow night I will see Heart again in San Francisco, and with Jason Bonham no less. Growing up, Led Zeppelin was my favorite band. I should get some good vid from row 8. :)
especially great song for ann's voice. of course great guitar work by my heartthrob nancy & acoustic tone. what i especially like was using a slide when sliding btwn the chords. very nice touch!
Thankyou from the bottom of my "HEART", Dave. Missed this tour :-( Subbed to your channel. This is exquisite!!! Highly surprised this only has 96 likes. People are strange. :-|
Also, there are our girls. Jason B. is a very accomplished drummer,as you well know. I heard an interview once when Page said Jason had a pr. of drumsticks in his hand as soon as he could hold them...it was very touching. You could feel the pain in Jimmy's voice.
Will there ever be great music like this again? I really wonder? But I die get slightly encouraged as I see some of these kids bands that like to play older music like this and are not doing to bad at it. That may be are only hope. With the change in the music business from what it used to be though I really wonder. I’ll be gone but I really hope someday maybe just someday once again it can be Great Again. Love to all!
As a massive Fan of Robert Plant I've never wanted to listen to anyone covering Zeppelin numbers as no one ever does them justice, apart from this one very special lady. Please come over to the U.K, and do some concerts especially Wales
Love 💕💕💕💕❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Memories of the Song Remains The Same 1976 Midnite Movie RIP JHB saw Jason in Boca Raton Florida at Mizner Park with Foreigner Love both Drum Kits
Thanks TacomaPaul....appreciate the compliment...this was shot with the sony HDR-380-CX......and I just upgraded the the HDR-430...CX.....still getting used to it!
The Zep guys actually gave them the blessing to do this tour with the Zep encore. They didn't want to do it unless Robert, Jimmy, and John Paul were cool with the concept. So in a way they are the "official" cover band of Zeppelin.
Great video and sound, for being "so close to the stage, you probably scared the band." I assumed you were using a phone, then saw your post below about the camera. Do you ever get hassled about recording entire shows?
Oh yes....evicted from venues with no warning....evicted after being warned also.....i have had my SD card taken on quite a few occasions as well.......it's a bitch when you pay 200+ for tix, drive two hours and then get ejected in half an hour.....but you know what....it won't stop me.....
Front Row Dave Thanks for doing what you do, and you're not taking money out of anyone's pocket. I saw the Heart/Bonham tour last year in DC, and seeing your videos only reminds me of how great they were. I'd be happy to give them my money to see them again.
Mitchell Baxter I just spent 230.00 to see them in Baltimore... I wish I had money I would travel the world to see them well Ann you just cant take your eyes off her or your ear. Hail to the QUEEN of ROCK!!!
I just subscribed to your channel....Look forward to some vids from you! And feel free to subscribe to mine if you haven't already...I have possibly more JBLZE than any channel on RUclips, lots of Robert Plant and a few Them Crooked Vultures....I also went to London and filmed the Red Carpet Release of Celebration Day and caught the band arriving at the Odeon....Enjoy and I look forward to your eighth row vids!

Absolute magic and otherworldly beauty.
Breathtaking magnificence.
This 2 amazing sisters 60 and 65 years old still rock your socks off .What an example.

And Nancy's guitar!
Wow.... Ann is still so beautiful with little make up on! And that voice-rock and roll's finest.
Heart always jams Zeppelin at every show. Their influence is clear. Seen them many times. The girls rock!
No words to describe how much I love this song.
I concluded a very long time ago that this is not a song. it's a religious experience.
rocknbluesrock I think you just did, I also love it enough teach myself how play it at 60 years old....... no lessons.

Goosebumps. Huge Zep fan as well as in love with Ann and Nancy.
The gals rock, and I think are the only ones who are worthy of covering Led Zeppelin's music.
This is an amazing cover. Nancy is really great on that guitar, and Ann's voice is still unmatched to this day.

Ann and Nancy are doing their thing! ❤️❤️❤️
Crazy I have been a led zeppelin fan my whole life since 1973 and I always liked heart. I knew ann Wilson would be the voice to handle zeppelin songs.

Ann actually detests being called "Annie" just FYI if you ever meet her.

Thanks I subscribed to yours.
On some other Heart doing a Led Zep song video, a commenter said Heart should be the only band allowed by law to cover Zep.
I agree.
