Great character actor. He did a great Butcher Wing opposite Jet Li in Once Upon A Time In China, a dirty cop in Jackie Chan's Crime Story, and has done a countless number of classics throughout decades.
His moves are so smooth and crisp on film. And he is extremely athletic. Hollywood/America will never accept an Asian action star because they're not "Chads" and "Tyrones". Donnie Yen should have been wielding a lightsaber in Rogue One and be the main character (being blind and using the force would've worked). He was in his prime and showed more skills than Blade in Blade 2. Oh well, definitely gonna see this one.

Not me. Donnie has spent the last two decades making these periodic movies too much after Ip Man. To the point that he made lesser contemporary action movies, which he excels best in. Kung fu and wu xia movies are limited and outdried at this point because filmmakers keep recycling the same themes and ideas for fight scenes. Plus the sub genre is too restricted in comparison to contemporary action movies
@@realdealmind01 Youre right for the most part. I dont believe it cant be done right in this day and age its just nobody wants to. Lots of themes are still going on repeat today and are fine. I just see less and less films with the effort of the films listed above which is sad.

That belief turned the character into a murderer. Donnie's character seems to believe in mere justice by using unorthodox methods to obtain the truth by any means necessary. That means going out investigating by your own will risking your career and life when facing any dangerous obstacle that's in your way. Let's see how the movie turns out.
