The Stock catch broke of one day and i was never able to find it again. That same day, i did an oopsie and shot the gun with only one of the two pins in place, cracking the backplate. Luckily, its the most widespread and available replacement part of the VFC MP7. Definitely an upgrade worth the price.
After I replaced my stock latch and backplate, nothing has broken ever since. Even after a game while before both gave out 2-4 magazines in, maybe the refined the materials.
@@x.r5958 yeah, definitely check other parts out. I haven’t heard of any occurrence of the steel stock latch breaking so something must be interfering with it. Glad I can help!

ive found that saturating the return spring and reoil spring guide in grease mitigate the cracking issue
I’ve also done the same for my newer mp7 and nothing has broken, but only time will tell.
@@Airsoft_Chay did time ever end up telling?:) haha what kind of grease would ye recommend
@@owowhatsthis4517 It did not crack for a longer time but I sold it off already. I recommend super lube ptfe.
Where did you source the repair parts from ? Looking for the back plate.

Even if I replace the steel latch, it will still break …
Have you had any more breakage since replacing the steel patch ?
Thanks!!
That’s strange. My steel latch has never been broken ever since I replaced it.
@@Airsoft_Chay ok!! I will inspect other parts, maybe stock rod have been interfered…

@@Airsoft_Chay Thanks for your advice:)
@@x.r5958 Good luck 👍
How did that brake? Just recoil? What gas are you using?
It’s a somewhat common issue, I use propane.
@@Airsoft_Chay is that the famous green gas?
@@alvaroaugustomeridio green gas is propane without the smell.
@@Airsoft_Chay thanks, that's very helpful, just bought a second hand gen 1 and didn't want to overload my replica, thanks!
@@Airsoft_Chay by the way, hove you passed chronograph? What sort of power are you getting out of it with the propane?
Is the backplate aftermarket made of steel?
There is an aftermarket metal one but not steel i think.
thank you boy
No problem man!
