I believe the idea is in the book "Marlinspike Sailor" by Hervey Garrett Smith. It has a lot of good ideas. We stand on the shoulders of others. There's even a digital version, it seems.
This is a difficult figure to calculate. Plywood, about $10K. Epoxy, the same, I am well over $100K. I have plumbing and electrical. It really depends on how crazy you are. Rigging, line, hardwood, it all adds up. I would say the basic boat materials were about $80K. People don't figure in the tools you need, the screws, the sandpaper, the masts, the sails, etc. You get the picture.
I try to maintain my low standards of videography. If you want quality, send me a bunch of money so I can hire: 1). a cameraman 2). an editor 3). a skinny girl in a bikini.
You are making a lovely job of her, thanks for sharing your project xx
beautiful craftsmanship. I really love the fold outs under the steps.
Me too.
Show what your up to now!!! Have you made up a 12v refrigeration unit? Right up your alley!
Naw, I just bought a Dometic CF75 DZW.
Love your galley. I was designing mine a couple weeks ago and stole your idea for the little hinged drawers under each step. Brilliant use of space.

I think I've said before how much I love those tilt-out drawers. But why the gimbaled stove on a cat?

You're not rude. Everything is not serious here. Uhhhhhhh........... did you send the money?
I sure did. The bikini clad young lady offered to take them to your place. Should be there any time now.
Wait a minute......how much money can you put in a bikini?
Nice! Real nice.
Do you mean the boat or the fact you can't see my face?
