I am sure that there is an easy way to unspool rope so it doesn't twist . I don't know it. Here is my solution to the problem.

Annnnnnnnnd then I hit the dock ripping off the port figurehead. The motors climbed out of the water in reverse. I couldn't stop it.

The port forward cabin has poncho liners. That alone makes it a good boat.

With people thinking unsealed, used, highly weathered, junk is worth this amount. I could build one of these NEW for LESS than what this idiot is asking for this almost ready to be refit one.

Just wondering. Once stretched and retightened, they appear to be very solid. So do they still allow any movement (the original idea). Or would it be more straightforward to make a solid connection
It's about being able to repair the boat easily. Do not change the design and make it "better". If you change one thing, it effects other parts of the boat .
Nice boat. I wouldnt buy a wahram for that price though. I can get to many other boats with more to offer for similar money.

@@duded5371 hand made wood/fiberglass composite hulls using high quality marine epoxy are often superior to factory glass boats that are often laid up with polyester resin and/or other inferior materials. Typically glass boats are more than 3-4 times heavier, requiring way more power...and have much deeper draft limiting where you can go when mooring etc. Wharrams are a known quantity.

I really appreciate how well you gave a tour, and yes the music did suck. 8^) I had the pleasure of buying a Wharram 42 in somewhat rough shape for $18k, and extensively refurbed her with the help of 4 friends. The total outlay of the whole project was just under $40k, not counting the many months of labor, and was in the early 90s. I feel you have done a wonderful job, and that your asking price is quite reasonable. So please ignore the cheapskates. My life abruptly changed for the worse also and I cried when I had to sell mine. I would love to be in a position to buy your beauty and wish you the best in selling her. @@acatnameddog9799 Were the hulls covered with glass cloth before painting? Any details or comments on the steering/wind vane on the stern, I have not seen one like that! Have you any photos of the boat or links to same? Have u a list of equipment going with the boat? What HP are the motors? What grade or type of plywood /wood was used for the build? Where exactly can the “Dog” be seen now and is it on water or dry? Hope this is not too many questions for you as I am worried that you are not a well man, hope I’m wrong! Ray in Kerry, SW Ireland.
@@Seafariireland The hulls are glassed Meranti marine plywood. The wind vane is a Sail-O-Mat.

I dont get how this works. Fireplace barely heats the livingroom
The fireplace has large concrete baffles that the smoke goes though before exiting the chimney. They heat up and resonate over an extended period of time. It also burns hotter which eliminates creosote buildup because it is essentially wasted potential fuel. When fully stoked, this thing burns so hot that you would not want to sit very close. It's a very efficient type of fireplace and rather brilliant. Below is a link with a diagram of what they can look like inside. It's all about mass. Research "masonry Heater". A hot fast burn heats up a large mass of fireplace. The large mass radiates heat for 12 hours.
im currently sketching up ideas for a world cruising wharram clone, your idea for a cockpit extension is perfect. Really makes it looks more "shiplike"
