You salt the water to make it boil faster. Also you turn the water on high. THEN when the water is boilled, you turn down the temp to low, put in the pasta, and add oil to the pot so they don't stick together.

pasta water should be salted. for the oil, what my mom has always told me is that it prevents the noodles from sticking to each other, but i think it might do a greater effect on spaghetti noodles instead of penne

nessa is lactose intolerant, but she stays away from cheese so its not as severe
guys! i did this but instead of using feta, (which is great) ricotta cheese with heavy whipping cream after you cook or simmer your tomatoes. its 50times better. but the feta one is still good. also if you wanna use garlic, cut them into little slices or use garlic power so it isn’t just chunks. i hope these tips help you girls and also fans. because trust me, its GREAT!

you put salt in the pasta water so that when the pasta takes water in while it boils and expands, it tastes nicer; and you put oil in that your pasta doesn’t get tangled up in the water so like if you have tagliatelle, i think

Love y’all and to be honest y’all just inspired to make this pasta myself so I’m having this pasta tonight for dinner😍
I made this a lot over the pandemic and it became a staple in my house. Super easy to make, pretty inexpensive, and really good! I don't like feta, but this dish is great. I put the cheese in the middle, add the tomatoes around it, and drizzle on the oil and seasonings. I also use a whole container of those tomatoes plus a third of another - works great! As for the pasta we prefer the bowties for this. YES you salt your water, I've never seen to add oil.. I don't think I've ever had an issue with the garlic in this dish. Fresh garlic is apparently really good for your health, I love garlic, but I don't think I could eat it raw lol. Dish overall is heavy but really good, highly recommend! :)
Okay let's settle this... My mom uses oil in the water when we make spaghetti, and then we use salt for any other type of noodle. So I agree with Roni on this one😂

I oil my water for pasta it helps them not stick! Also I salt my water! So you are both right
Girls, you need to really salt your pasta water. The oil floats so it doesn’t do anything to the pasta while it boils. What happens is that when your strain the pasta, some oil sticks to the pasta and prevents the noodles from sticking. But you don’t have to put the oil to the water when you boil the pasta. You should drizzle a bit of oil on the pasta after you strain it and toss the pasta so the oil covers most of it and that will prevent the pasta from sticking. You can also put a few pieces of butter while the pasta is hot, instead of drizzling oil. That works too. And mix the butter with the pasta

Omg I usually add oil to the water and mix it and then I let it boil and then I add the pasta now, so pasta is in there I add the salt to the water with pasta and oil but like salt it very good then I take a piece and I taste it so it good then wait,strain and add whatever I want to it. Salt the water while the noodles are in the water and AFTER you drain the water you put oil so the noodles don’t stick together

Just a tip for next time use boursin herb and garlic cheese to be less sour, but it was tasty otherwise. Also preheat the oven to 400 F and bake for about 30-35 mins and then mash and add about 2-4tbsps of pasta water or as much to make it to your guy's liking to make it more of a sauce. P.s. I love your guy's videos they are funny and entertaining either way. Love your guy's dynamic.
