i was in the RAF in the 80s . The aircraft was a Canberra. The crew was tole by ATC that visibility was very poor and advised the crew not to take off .One of the crew was to be married the next day so the senior pilot called it and took off . Mins later emergency state 1 was declared and we had to attend but nothing could be done the aircraft crashed about 1 mile from the end of the runway .Inverted the pilot lost his orientation . He pulled up thinking that he would climb but the opposite happened and all three was killed out right . I saw the pilot before they took off and i could see that he was sweating and very nervous. He was a senior pilot but made a tragic decision and three young aircrew lost there lives . They didn't get a chance to eject even if they had they would have ejected in to the sea . I still remember that day like it was yesterday . The air field was RAF Gibraltar a notorious airport having a short runway . I was just a young airman at the time and was tasked with looking after the belongings of the crew and the ejection seats .The ejection seats still had flesh and body parts from the crew left on them . So tragic i can still see the crews baggage and the seats . I was only 20 years of age at the time . I have never told anyone about this before but it still plays on my mind and i will never forget that day for the rest of my life .
Now i have a different dilemma my son travels out to the Ukraine in 8 days to fight for freedom and i know that he's not coming home . This video has had a profound effect on me and i can only pray for the safety off all of the Ukrainian people and hope that we will see an end to this conflict very soon . If you have read the to the end i thank you from the bottom of my heart and god bless you all

Concorde debuted in '76. Should have been '56. And 1976 should have been the bicentennial of the US *and* the debut of the commercial internet. The analog video phone had been successfully demo'd in 1964 at the world's fair. But the "cold war" precluded that. And air safety would be 50 years more advanced then, as well.

For those brand-new to this ongoing story: American Airlines First Officer Sten Molin was partly to blame for flight 587 crashing in Queens in November 2001, killing himself and 264 innocent people, according to the NTSB.
Yet even before that unspeakable loss, he’d already cut a trail of destruction through the world in his 34 years, causing endless trauma for his living victims.
I’ve heard for months about a Larry Nassar-style basement at Sten Molin’s Greenwich-area condo where he assaulted girls under the guise of a “computer tutoring business.” (I am aware there was more than one property, but for now I’m talking about this one).
In the past several weeks, more and more of these underage victims-children, under the law-are coming forward. (Stay tuned for more on this in the coming weeks).
Sten Molin raped, assaulted, stalked, harassed and abused dozens of women and underage girls/children. His adult victims say he attacked by force, aggression and overpowering. Underage girls and children report unwanted attacks by force and extreme power imbalance, but also by quieter, boilerplate grooming techniques.

Incidents like these are why I have avoided getting into any aircraft
The aviation industry keeps banging on about how safe aircraft are but in reality they are not
The industry is only interested in money, fame and prestige and certainly not safety
Every incident in this video has mistakes made by whoever was involved in the industry
For example why would anyone let a passenger aircraft fly anywhere near to a war zone
Also the concorde incident was because of a cheap replacement part clearly cost cutting there
As for the KLM incident that clearly shows that the pilot was at fault
Who would want to take off from an airport with little visibility even if been late for take off would have meant that there was a fine
I would have rather took the fine than take off without clearance and then killing all those innocent people
