They beautifully illustrate two contrasting yet unifying parts of Jevil's psyche, and I always feel like the two interpretations shine the brightest alongside each other! Two sides of the same Jevil. This line plays very well into what I like to call "right-handed nihilism". The idea that nothing truly mattering in the end being liberating, rather than a cause to despair. Sure, all the games are rigged, but they're still fun, so why not blow a few bucks?
