Solid, honest review. I have been using a Nathan HPL 20 for about 7 years now and its still in great shape. I also picked up an Ultraspire Alpha 3.0 a couple of weeks ago for racing.... got it for $37.99... what a deal! Take a look around if you want a replacement!
Appreciate the support! I'm definitely waiting until vests/packs are on sale, then I'll pick them up. Just waiting for a good deal! Haha!
The lighting in this videos is nice man! Love how you have review videos and live streams in the mix.
Appreciate the support my man! Definitely stepping up this channel a little bit at a time!
Finally the review we have been waiting for, thanks for this
Appreciate the support my friend!
As I am not a runner I have never invested in one of these. Good job you were honest in the review. No point in being any other way.
Appreciate the support, Kelvin!
@@LifeWithVinceLuu My pleasure.
With the runs you do, you definitely need a vest like that. Great in depth and honest review my friend! I have a kind of belt which I sometimes take with me where 2 small water bottles fit in. When my distance increases, I might go for something like this!
Appreciate the support my friend! And I think belts are great too! Really just depends on how far the run is. I'm thinking about picking up a belt soon so that I can run shirtless to undo this farmers tan! Haha!
49 seconds from first!!! WHAT!!!!! I really like that vest! I HATE carrying a water bottle! i am so lame, i enjoy most running at the gym on the treadmill, can't wait to get back in the gym this week! BUT this also looks amazing for hiking around.Great review VINCE!
Appreciate the support, Liz! And the best is great for hikes as well as I hate carrying all my gear in my hands too!
I wore that same vest when I trained for my first marathon. For the price it did the job
Totally agree! That's why I haven't upgraded - it does everything I need it to do plus I don't mind that it's a bit lower quality cause it's still holding up overall pretty well!
The new lights are looking niceeeeeee!! In the past, I've always found it awkward to wear something on my back when I run, but it was probably because I was wearing the wrong things. I'm definitely on a much lower level in terms of running so I probably won't be investing in a running vest anytime soon, but I know who to hit up when that time comes 😅😅
Appreciate the support, Ryan! It definitely feels a little weird at first running with it on. Anything shorter than an hour or so, you probably don't need a vest though anything an hour or longer, it's super convenient!
Great review my friend! I’m more of a treadmill guy but I could see the usefulness of this!
Appreciate the support, Sarge!
Solid review. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this type content on the type of gear you use.
Appreciate the support, Eric! I'm definitely trying to incorporate more review type videos in. The plan is at least once a week!
Good review, Vince. I had a vest like that, but needed more capacity. Glad it works out well for you!
Appreciate the support, Steven! I think I may upgrade when I run my first trail ultra and the aid stations are far apart. With the self supported 50 and 100 milers, it was basically a 1.4 mile loop and the 100 that I have coming up is a 2 mile loop so I've never needed the capacity. May need to get it a bit earlier too to train in it!
@@LifeWithVinceLuu wow you did a self supported 100 on a 1.4 mile loop!!!! Wow man. My first 100 was on a 2 mile loop around a lake. Those are good events cause you don't need to carry much. I do SO many long self supported trail runs, maybe 4-8 hour runs, so I need large capacity.
Thanks for the review! Something to consider if I ever train to run longer distances.
Thanks, Mike! Appreciate the support! It's definitely convenient to have especially if you are running anything an hour or more at one time on a consistent basis though not needed if its anything less than that!
Super cool! I didn't even know they made vests for running!
Appreciate the support! And they do; super convenience especially on those medium to long runs!
Seems like a great overall product. I love the lighting in your video. At the end of the day if it does what you need it to do then you're good.
Appreciate the support, Kev!
Great review! I’ve gotta get one of those for longer distance runs! Looks lightweight and effective!
It really is! Super convenient especially on those long runs! Appreciate the support my man!
great review.., I am definitely gonna get this vest to bang around in durning the week.., and use my higher priced one, for events.., or running for a bit longer duration
Appreciate the support! And this definitely is one of those vests where you can throw around on training runs! It's held up pretty well for me taking it out pretty much daily plus I wash it a few times a week too!
I will be curious to see the analytics, click through on the link and all that jazz on this one after 30 days! :)
Appreciate the support, Chris! On a similar note, my Garmin Forerunner 235 review from the week before seems to be doing well. It's getting me a few views per day with some pretty good watch time (my regular vlogs usually die out in terms of few/watch time 3-5 days after publishing). Excited to see how that video turns out after a month too!
Great review Vince!!! 💪🏾🔥💯
Thanks, Kiara!
LifeWithVinceLuu You’re welcome!
I’m really enjoying these views! I have one of these. It’s perfect for hiking too! Great video bro!
Appreciate the support my man! And love this for hiking too!
Excellent vest review, I’ve never had a vest usually carry a water bottle in my hand, if I’m running a longer circuit place some water bottles in the bushes, at that price though could be worth a look I think $26 USA dollars is about $50NZ dollars still pretty good 👍
Appreciate the support my friend! And a good vest is definitely worth it! I've actually been meaning to pick up a hand held water bottle for some of my shorter runs!
Time to use your link to buy a bunch of stuff!lol , Great review man, I should get something like that!
Thanks my man! Appreciate the support, Noah! The vest is definitely worth it and super convenient especially on those longer runs!
Loving these reviews that you’re doing now, and glad you’re creating some more searchable content that’s going to help you grow faster!
Funny, I’ve come to associate that running vest/backpack with you now since you wear it in so many of your videos around the running parts. Glad you finally talked about it.
My question for you is a simple one.....is it washable? I can imagine it starts smelling pretty ripe after packing on 50-100 miles. 😂
One more question.....can it hold a Nintendo Switch and Animal Crossing? 😉
0:36 - is it washable :)
CLFurlong DOH!!! 🤦🏻♂️ Somehow I totally missed that!!! Thanks for pointing that out a Chris.
@@FitLabb hahah! :P all good, i have done this so any times on other videos!
Frances Floyd 🤣🤣🤣
Frances Floyd I would love to do a colab like that if I was invited, but looks like I’m not invited to the party. Sad face..... 😢
This is a very popular vest here in the UK too, alot of people in the FB running communities Im part of use it
Appreciate the support, Laura! It's definitely a great value vest that gets the job done!
Great review vince! Thanks. 😃
Appreciate the support, CJ!
Nice review bro 👍 sub $30 for a running vest sounds like a great deal for what you got . Thx for also explaining the washing factor and the wear and tear over time haha
Appreciate the support, Dang!
Yeah to be honest I lw need a vest. Might have to get this in the future for my runs.
Appreciate the support, Marc! A good vest is game changing for running!
LifeWithVinceLuu Awesome!
Great review my friend! That’s a pretty good price and it sounds like you got good use of it.👍
Appreciate the support, Anthony! And I definitely put it to good use; have to get my money's worth! Haha!
oooo i suppose the quality wouldnt really matter for me just if I needed something to run with!!! I dont really try to get the highest quality stuff but I def need something to hold my water bottle! Ive been using a running belt
Appreciate the support, Sam! And I'm similar to you; I don't necessarily need the best/highest quality. Just as long as it does the trick! Running belts are great too. I haven't tried one though have been thinking about getting one so I can run without a shirt to undo this farmers tan that I'm getting! Haha!
I have looked at this vest before. I run with an Ultimate Direction AK Mountain Vest 3.0 and enjoy it, but I have grown since I got it a few years ago and its a little snug. May have to look into this until I shrink a bit lol.
Appreciate the support my friend!
This vest is definitely great for its price. I love my Salomon Advanced skin 12 though. It was definitely worth the buy for me. On long trail runs i like to bring a lot of food and water so i need a lot of pockets. This seems to work perfectly for you and you don’t seem like you need that many pockets. Do you throw an extra water in the back just in case?
Great review Vince 🤙
Appreciate the support, Dan! And thanks for the question! I'll put this in one of my upcoming vlogs!
I've definitely been thinking about upgrading my vest though never do cause this one currently does everything I need it to. Admittedly, I haven't had to pack too much stuff in my vest cause I run loops and just use my car/house as an aid station. Though I know when I run those non loop ultras/the aid stations are far apart, I'll likely need a little bigger of a vest/pack!
Thanks for the info
good review, thanks
good interesting review. mm if I pick up running again maybe I ill look into this. I use a fanny pack when i do sprints outside to just hold my phone nothing fancy lol
Appreciate the support my friend! This vest is definitely more a convenience thing and great for any runs that are an hour or longer!
Boom! Going to pick this up through your link. Great review! Would you carry a larger bottle or is it only capable of holding those small ones?
Appreciate the support my man! I'll put this question in one of the upcoming vlogs as well.
For the front pockets, you can put a regular sized 16 oz water bottle! Though if you needed, you can put some larger bottles in the back pocket!
How are you liking the new uploading schedule with the review and the livestream? Less stress or more?
Appreciate the question my friend! I'll put this in one of my vlogs this week!
Nice review
Thanks Jason! Appreciate the support!
Great video Vince! Do you find it distracting to run with a vest? Is that something you had to get used to?
Thanks for the question, Jenn! I'll put this in one of my upcoming vlogs!
Love it. Getting one. What size did you get? They're saying you can either get M/L or L/XL
I believe this is a M/L! I am a fairly small guy though (130ish lbs). Great news is that the straps in the front and sides are adjustable!
Good video. What type of wash did you do? 30 degree C, delicate cycle with gentle sports wash? Or higher temp / high spin / aggressive detergent?
Honestly, I usually just throw this in with all my regular clothes when washing and drying. I usually put it on the normal setting with cold water. When I dry it, it's also on normal! I've probably washed it at least 100 times and for the most part, it's still in pretty good shape (besides the draw strings on the water bottle pockets)!
@@LifeWithVinceLuu It's worth looking at how to wash sports clothes. Low temp and gentle cycles worth best with a dedicated sports wash - these don't break down the fabrics with brighteners etc. If you don't have a dedicated sports wash, you can add a an bacterial agent (often found in the baby section at the supermarket if not with other washes). I only discovered all this when washing cycling kit as that is quite delicate (high temp, spin, detergents damage the fabric but low temps don't kill bacteria, hence sports wash or anti-bacterial additive)
Nice 💯
Thanks!
I think I have a silicone water bottle from them. Nice looking vest.
Appreciate the support, Jeremy!
good review my friend, keep safe always, like5
Thanks, Joy! Appreciate the support!
Do the front and side straps have stretch?
Thanks for your sub my friend ! friendship 🔆😎🙏😷🔆Stay connected 😷👀🔆🌈😷🙏🙏
Thanks!
Wow C- is pretty harsh 😲
I'd say C- for the quality though more of a B for the vest overall!
I have to bring my water bottle in my hand so hate it, nice vest
Thanks, Cornelia! Appreciate the support!
@@LifeWithVinceLuu your welcome friend
I support the video and the channel, but I will not support my running habits Vince XD. I prefer my weights and getting out to play soccer!
Little to nothing beats a good lifting session! I would play soccer but I'm not very coordinated! That's why I run! HAHA!
Great video! New friend here, sending you my full support! Let’s stay connected, looking forward! 😀👍🏼
Thank you!
How many credit cards do you use on a run Vince?😂
HAHA! I was definitely distracted by the work "credit card" cause I was watching a review video of some vests before making this video and the person mentioned you can fit in a few credit cards in certain pockets. In order to keep the flow of the video going, I just said what was on top of my mind. Unfortunately it was the word credit card 😂😂😂
