First of all, I really enjoy your videos. I am hoping to get into dowel restoration, but there is one problem with this. I am a totally blind person, and I’m sure there are limits as to what I can, and cannot do. I collect all kinds of dolls.
Great job you did amazing work as I would be so scared to even attempt such a feat!!! The dolls look wonderful!!! Good job MOM Kewpie much be so proud!!!!
I know nothing about rooting lol I understand it is time consuming but I don't know if I will have the patience to do it. lol I do love the colors on your My Scene dolls !! Great video.
I hope that I would be able to have the chance to work with a lady here in Minnesota, that does doll restoration, and also has a really good business selling dolls. I’m hoping that she will be able to work with me. I hope that she doesn’t think my blindness would be a problem!
I saw a video of how they sewn hair into a head- its fit onto a small foot and the hair is one continuous strand(s) of hair that is sewn into the head. kinda like a sewing machine. They don't make the hole first. There is a locking strand(s) of hair that catches the looped hair on the inside of the heads. And these woman work fast..afew minutes and their onto the next head. After her is the glue lady.
Hi- I know this video is years old, but I was wondering by any chance how much hair you used in ounces? I'm customizing a my scene for the first time and I can't find anything that says the amount needed. Any clue? Much thanks!
Kewpie has gotten the tool through dollyhair.com. I wouldn't do any for money, it's still hit or miss for me. It is something do do while watching tv though. Kind of like knitting or crocheting.
Awesome job!! Love them!
Thanks so much, they were fun to do.

Where did you get the curly hair
The curly hair came from Dollyhair.com. It was a long long time ago, they might not sell it anymore.

I will ask Kewpie. I don't think she knows it by ounces. She just buys it in hanks.
