First of all, I was very happy with how fast this item was delivered. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxYR69rUVDfF56JHQRldV2uJeXaPA9LTZW It came a day before the listed delivery date, which was super great! I was able to assemble it myself with no difficult and I am not an engineer or a put-it-together expert. The chair is super comfortable, I play video games for roughly 3-4 hours at a time and it does not make my back hurt or neck hurt. The Reclining function actually surprised me because it goes very low, you could fall asleep on it ( and in fact i have while laying on it with a foot rest for my legs). The red is a bold choice and I usually stay away but I love how the red and black contrast looks on this type of material. The wheels on this chair are very very quiet, I have wood vinyl in my apartment and there is absolutely no noise. OVERALL, I WOULD RECOMMEND or BUY IT AGAIN !

look up the price of cold cure foam per square foot. its about 4$ for a 12x12x1 inch square. most gaming chairs are 5 inches thick or so, which costs about 20$ for just 1 square foot thick. not including cutting costs, stitching costs for the leather, or anything like that. theres about 2-3 square feet for the bottom cushion, and 5-6 square feet for the back cushion. 7-9 square feet at at 20$ per square foot averages out around 140-180$ just for the foam alone. Which is more than your "Office Chair" that probably uses upholstery foam that costs 60 dollars for a 72x24x6 (6 feet long, 2 feet wide and 6 inches thick) sheet at retail price, and will last less than 1 year before it goes completely flat and feels like youre sitting on a piece of wood.

I've got a gaming chair that i found on the side of the road and I'm pretty sure it has at least six pounds of cocain in it. Bonus!
😳
Gaming chairs also can't take much weight, In fact no one has ever made a heavy duty office chair. which is insane.
Easy solution: don't be fat.
@@user-oq9zd5rx3e what is a good estimate of a weight then?
THE DINoSAUR kid harun easy 80-100kg depending on the hight
if you're a heavy person you shouldn't be sitting on an office chair for too long anyways, get moving
Actually Furmax has. I recently bought a gaming chair from them on Amazon and it can hold up to 300lbs and it’s hella comfy
The same way gaming gear has an extra price tag, I also notice that anything "ergonomic" is immediately 5x the normal price.
I know but chairs should not be gaming otherwise keyboards mouse should be rgb and that actually boots FPS and everything that has rgb and gaming in it makes have more FPS and skills
It really depends, things like mice, keyboard and PC parts are all understandable.
When I moved out (half a year ago) my parents wanted to buy me a chair, so they asked me if I wanted a gaming chair. I said no way, and told them I'd rather want an office chair with good ergonomics, since I would be spending a lot of time doing homework and watching video lectures. We went to an office supply store, and I tried out every single chair, and got my second favourite one (since my favourite one was too expensive) at around 280$.
I now have a comfortable office chair with adjustable lumbar support wich I can easily sit in for hours without any pain or discomfort. One of my friends keeps commenting how comfortable it is every time he visits.
It is really worth it to try out a lot of different chairs untill you find one that is comfortable for you to sit in. The ammount of comfort/ reduced discomfort you feel is a worthwhile investment.
Give a link pls
@@200odd300 I don't really want to link the chair, as what fits me an my friend (of a similar build) might not fit you.
It was only the lumbar support of the chair that was adjustable, and if you don't have a similar body to mine, it probably wouldn't fit you, and I don't want you to waste money on a chair that fitssomeone else. I'd reccomend you go to a local office supply store and try all the chairs they have, and test wich one fits you the best. It took me about 1-2 hours to find the chair I have now.

There is a huge difference between cheap mice and gaming mice. Gaming mice have better sensors. If you swipe a regular mouse fast, it will not reach its destination and will more likely to jitter and stop at a certain point. also, regular mouse are only 125hz which means they report less. You need accuracy when it comes to fps games.

1:38 lmao i have a dxracer chair and that is my main complaint as i am crossing my legs right now
I had an office chair in my room for a while now, and i only have 3 things i need for a perfect chair,
1.) Made of a soft material
2.) You can adjust the height and lean back
3.) Reach to the top of my shoulders
I recently got a "racing" style chair to replace an old office chair. It wasn't any of the big brand names that cost hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. In fact, it was less than $80 when I ordered it. I personally like it because it supports my head and back pretty well.
ItsAidy im looking for a new chair too! Do you Think you could link to the chair you bougt?:)
Inexpensive $80-$500 chairs all have the same issues:
1. Lack of adjustment
2. Foam will collapse in 3-6 months and your thighs will be hitting wood
3. Vinyl/faux leather will start cracking and peeling by year two
4. Cheap fabric will start wearing or develop fuzz around the front seat area
5. Armrest pads will start cracking and falling apart
6. Cheap small hard 2" nylon casters will mar your hardwood floors
On a high end chair, just the 5 casters on the chair will cost around $120
Apparently 500 dollars is inexpensive? What did you buy, a $1200 dollar Herman Millers?
What you just said isn't wrong, but isn't always correct either. Take a GT Omega for example.
260 dollars for the pro model:
1. Complete adjustment. Arm rest can go down, up, sideways, inwards. 85-190 degree adjustment for back support, headrest and lumbar cushion are both made from high quality foam/leather, has tilt locking mechanism which will stop rocking on the chair
2. Foam is high quality and is very bulky (in a good way) so you won't sink into the chair
3. Consistent Synthetic Leather all around the entire chair probably wont crack unless you do something extremely idiotic
4. Again, PU Leather isn't cheap fabric
5. Pretty sure all armrests are made of plastic, including 1200 dollars Herman Millers. Although if you mean the metallic casement, I'm not going to lie, you have the edge there.
6. They're all either plastic or rubber...
On a high end chair, you don't pay over 500 dollars.
Dude you're talking with a person with many many years of manufacturing experience and with a specialty in one of the world's largest foam manufacturers. You cannot say the foam is good simply because it is firm and bulky, most foam used in sub $1000 chairs are garbage since foam is sold by weight, I know which companies buy which foams for their products and let me tell you 90% of them buy the crappiest stuff for their products that is loaded with tactum powder to increase weight as foam is sold by the pound, but will collapse because tactum powder is an impurity in the microscopic makeup of the foam's structure. 99.999% of chair manufacturers will never mention the type of foam that is used in their chairs for good reasons. Plus all PU vinyl faux leather will crack no matter what over a 2-3 year period and even faster when exposed to UV light. The metal adjustment mechanisms and gas struts is where most chair manufacturers try to market you their chair, but it is the least important as far as I am concern as those components are mostly made overseas by the quadrillions and are interchangeable from manufacturer to manufacturer. A high price tag alone will not determine if the the chair is good or not in this day of age. Herman Millar and Steelcase chairs are expensive because they involve local labor and the "Made in USA" brand, but doesn't necessarily mean they are good quality chairs. A "quality" chair is when a chair manufacturer can produce a chair at the lowest cost that will perform like a Herman Miller or Steelcase chair and to date I haven't found any yet. Any stupid company can produce a good chair with high price tag, but it takes an exception company to make a "Quality" chair at the lowest price tag !
Of course, I'm not saying that the foam is extremely good. I simply said that some can be really bulky and sturdy. Which for me, is quality enough (but that's preferential). Again, you're paying a huge amount of money for a chair, which while may be high quality but many people, just honestly can't afford. My point was that chairs within the 500 dollar region can still be good.
So basically buy stuff for QUALITY, not for the name
and make sure that "quality" wasn't only promised/proved/reviewed by ads..
Atlantic Picture
BINGO!
Just start with the most expensive chair (usually) and work your way down to the most affordable for your pocket. Afterwards, arrange them all in categories such as:
GOOD
BETTER
BEST
Then, you may find the one that suits your budgetary and personal needs. I usually do this with most huge purchases, and I don't often regret that system.
Incessant impulse buying ain't my thang!
The problem for me is that that stores within an hour drive from where I live sell awful office chairs. I wound up buying the very chair he refers to from Ikea, it was the only somewhat decent chair that could replace my old worn out chair. My old chair was extremely comfortable, but it was worn out after nearly a decade of use and the store I bought it from just sells cheap garbage now. My new chair from Ikea isn't quite as good as my old one, but definitely better than the ones from the competing stores.
HA! TEST IN PERSON LMAO! REMEMBER WHEN THAT WAS THING! okay, imma go cry in corner now, let me k ow when covid over, peace ✌️
Short answer: If you’re Sim Racing, Get it
If not just don’t buy it
if you do sim racing, just get a cheap bucket seat for a better price
Or if you happen to have access to a wrecked car that still has the seats (especially if it had 8 or 10 way adjustables), rip those out and fab up a frame to put the seat on
Nah, they are not really good for Simracing as they are on rollers. For simracing you really want to go with either of the options the other guys stated.
Yeh. That's true.
If you are into sim racing, go get yourself a honda seat from a scrapyard

Its not like people with back and shoulder problems who like to work at a 90° angle with back and shoulder support have much of a choice. There aren't any options available and all of the office chairs have a curvy edge which isn't much comfortable.
Exactly, office chairs are cheap and shit, gaming chairs are way better and a little more expensive, if you want something serious for your back that's taking expensive to another limit
Cristhian Mora you’re both just wrong. These chairs promote very poor posture, and have completely destroyed mine. Office chairs are not simply “uncomfortable”. Calling them “cheap and shit” is also completely false. A real office chair will keep you comfortable and will keep your body in a position that promotes good sitting habits and keeps your back healthy. These gaming chairs are just full of cushions so you think it is comfortable, and it is in the short term, but after 10 hours of sitting you will be cramped and left with an aching back. I know this because I literally had one. Office chairs are almost always, far and away better than these.
@@Sjwatts @Sjwatts For someone who has shoulder pain after sitting for an hour or so, office chairs are horrible because theres an S curve in office chairs that doesnt fully envelop the user and instead provides back support but no shoulder support.Sure it has a head rest and a lumbar cushion but that only supports the neck and back but not the shoulder regions. In several gaming chairs the seats dont have a curvy back but rather the upper part provides support as it clings to your shoulder when reclined/tilted at a 90° angle as there's no curve seperating your shoulders from your neck.I own an office chair (those white mesh seats with built lumbar cushions) and they're nowhere near as good as these youtubers claim to be.And everyone gets cramped and has an aching back after sitting for 10 hours. Your body isn't designed to keep you sitting upright for that long. The max amount of time you should sit on a chair whether its office or gaming is about 6 hours. Some gaming chairs come with strap lumbar cushions but thats a minor tadeoff compared to the lack of shoulder support from office chairs.
C Nion your experience is subjective, this is your experience mate. I can sit in my Aeron for 10 hours without pain, maybe you can’t, not sure what shitty chair you’ve got. You shouldn’t need shoulder support anyway

Thanks Dave, the issue I had with mine was that my hips started to hurt. it took me some time to find that it was the chair that was causing the pain. As a last ditch effort, I stop sitting in it and after several weeks I notice the pain started to disappear. The chair does allow your legs or thighs to lay relaxed, they tend to up and pushed together.

Literally got an ad at the end about a racing gaming chair. Amazing.
I love how you're animation shows a herman miller design. Racing chairs can be found for under 100. When i can get an eron for that price I'll literally immolate my racing chair.
this is very true. people in reddit and everywhere else on the internet jack off on herman miller aeron and steelcase leap/gesture and crap on gaming chairs, and when you ask them where you can get those chairs for the same price point as gaming chairs they're like well, you gotta know where to go, grab it off an office, grab it off craigslist as if those options are permanently available for 99% of people
then at the end of their wits they'll recommend a $280 staples hyken which is worse than a $80 homall gaming chair in terms comfort while just being marginally better ergonomically. chair elitism is something i'll never understand
The Ikea chair is great, last year I moved into a new place and the previous tenant was having difficulty moving out some furniture (due to only owning a car) and I agreed to let them store it in the garage until they had a chance to borrow someone's truck to pick it up.
I was new to this state and also only owned a car so I had no furniture as well. They had some really nice dressers and a matching desk. I offered to buy it from them and they agreed to sell it.
With that came the Ikea chair, I was never expecting it to hold up as it looked like a cheaply made chair. To my surprise the chair was incredible comfortable. I could sit in the chair for 5+ hours without the slightest of issues daily.

"Gaming premium" a racing chair costs 100-300 dollars(rough calculation) a good office chair more like 500-1000
@Esteban Outeiral Dias false. Most expensive office chairs are actually bad compared to cheaper ones.
@Esteban Outeiral Dias Sorry I'm not gonna take advice from someone who has no experience and sits in his moms house. I've sat in quite a few different office chairs in my career time. I can read fine, you just have no clue what you are on about. I can literally give you two popular office chairs that has been said to be very comfortable etc, yet sitting in it is the opposite experience. Almost all of it is paid off and overrated expensive brand names.
How is it a "gaming" premium? every single industry has products and brands which make you pay 3-5x more just for a logo or flashier colours? shoes cars fucking cleaning products even have more expensive brands which are just more expensive because their logo is more known?

@@XD65 Aight, thank you for the great answer! 🙏🏻
Nicolas Deluermoz Goodluck finding your own bro!
i liked when he said"you know what to do" instead of telling "like, subscribe and comment"
The lack of adjustment is definitely a point I hadn't thought about, and it made me realize that my cheap Staples office chair is basically a racing chair with a slightly different headrest shape. Hell, the backrest is directly attached to the armrests, which are directly attached to the seat!
Racing chairs are just about as dumb as putting an office chair in a racing car.
but can you do this?
i have racing doors in my room and im still a virgin wtf
But I have a racing gaming chair for my racing sim...
Especially if you can't get the arms out of the way.
Damn, first time RUclips recommendations actually comes through for me ! Every time I try to look for good chairs to buy, I keep getting those super expensive racing gaming chairs. I just wanna be comfortable and also play games, damnit
Impossible. I gave up PC gaming for this single reason. There is not a single reasonable prices comfortable chair on the planet.
@@BurntPlaydoh I've been drooling over Amazon USA offerings for years. Here in Russia we have IKEA and bazillion of cheap China variations of basically same couple of models, all horrible QC and comfort level.
I had the best chair in the world it would seem for $250 USD. It's over 10 years old just a high back office chair with syncho tilt so comfy if you leaned back too far you would fall asleep constantly. Unfortunately the company and chair no long exist, all the chairs I could find now were cheap chinese chairs that cost too much, designed to only last 2 years max and not a single one was comfy. I feel like quality chairs are over $1000. So I chose a secret labs Titan, 2 days in and my legs are killing me. My back however loves it, ever so slightly better than my old chair in that regard but only because I'm lucky and not because it's adjustable like my old chair.
I found one on amazon for $100 with a footrest and it’s been pretty awesome for the past couple years only problem now is the cushioning is going away but that’s with everything I think
Just got my first gaming chair with the bucket seat, and MAN do I not care of it. I like to spread my legs when watching movies (like in movie theaters) and sometimes like to cross my leg (like sitting on it) too. This bucket seat does not let me do any of those and it just becomes one of those life lessons you experience.
I got a one of these racing chairs for the first time ever for christmas, and I love it. I had always used office chairs, my last one costing around 600$, and it didn't even last a year before it started squeaking, creaking, and got worn out. Other chairs just weren't comfortable enough, or also didn't last long. The chair I had on my list for christmas, the one I got, was under 200$, and I love it so far. It's easily the most comfortable chair I've ever had. It has an attached foot rest, the lumbar support, which is like the ones you describe in the video, and I can easily and comfortable cross my legs, with or without the foot rest.
It does depend on the person =P but I can say from personal experience, I love mine.
STEIN667 which one do you have?
BuT cAN iT DO ThiS
JUST 399
Me: Well this is interesting
*Leans back in new racing chair*
Everyone has their own taste. I hate how the wings of them make my shoulders kinda hunch.
I love gaming chairs. I’m 17 years old but I am really small so my gaming chair gives me lots of room. My favorite part is that it can lean sooo far back. Plus, it matched my gaming setup
My gaming chair is amazing the only thing that i find negative is that my pillow for my head is a bid to high.
And pillow for your back is useless. It is to thick and I never used it. Yeah and I know you posted this comment 2 years ago.
Whats ur gaming chair? U get any back problem for using it ?
@@sonofgod031 I'm using AK Racing for last 5-6 years and I don't regret buying it. It's pretty comfy but head support could be better.
@@TheProject43 i am also struggeling so hard with the back pillow. just makes me feel more uncomfortable than without it
@@TheProject43 just got an akracing chair on Black Friday deal. It’s actually really high quality, much better than other chairs I tried at the store. Tons of adjustable options, my only dislike was the back cushion so I removed it
For me it is very comfortable chair but I can Compare it only with cheap office chairs (i have a cheap one, my brother have DXRacing)
Krzysztof Dolecki I too live the cheap life
You got it good. I had to bring a dining room chair in my room to game
I have a DXRacer, really good quality! I love it and the chair I had before this one was horrible compared to this!
I have an akracing chair, built quality is good and it's generally really comfortable chair tbh. i just wish i would have gone with the basic white/black colors instead of black/green :D But oh well, not so big of an issue
I have a DXRacer and it drives me mad >.< I have an Ikea markus at the office now and will most likely replace my DXRacer at home with it.
Thank you!!! Been trying to say this for years
crossing your legs on a chair? my legs would just snap off if I tried to do that even on flat chair
Yeah it's amazing how many gaming channels have these chairs, mostly because they got them for free due to a promotion. Most are designed the same way luxury office chairs are designed imo, that is something to comfortably recline in. The headrest, back support and all those comfy features only apply if your leaning back and generally not doing anything. If your working at a computer, playing a game, etc your mostly upright, if not leaning forward and getting no benefit form these features.
That said I've had alot of chairs over the years, some good some bad. I've spent over $200 on a good leather office chair that ended up breaking in no time (bottom tore from the stand because the expensive leather chair was bolted to the stand via cardboard lol). I've also used very hard and uncomfortable wooden kitchen chairs. No matter how much you spend on your chair always remember to be comfortable, even if you have to get a small pillow to support your head or back and never forget to get up and move around, stretch etc every once in a while.
Actually you should lean a bit back when being on the computer. Sitting up completely straight may seem good and healthy at first. But exhaust your back much over time, applying much pressure to the spine. Leaning back, even if just a bit, your back gets support from the chair and you can sit way longer. Of course that still doesnt mean you need an overpriced racing chair though^^
Me who uses a standard kitchen chair to game i completely understand your problems
I love your pfp

excellent review!
Spot on critique. That's why i'm getting a marcus. Price, removable arm rests and no flashy childish colours.
the last time i raced with a chair i got injured : (
How does that mic taste?
Green Ranger pretty damn good
Getting a new mic, and trying the quality.. You'd be surprised that the dust/sound filter actually tastes good.
He sounds like he's deep throating it
Word of advice: if you use a racing/gaming chair, go to your local (insert local superstore chain here) walmart and go to the sewing section and buy a furniture grade foam block. They'll be about an inch or so thick but they VASTLY improve how the chair feels over long periods. You'll likely need a friend and a pair of hog ring/nosed pliers.
Happy gaming everyone.
THANK YOU!!! I'm glad someone sees it my way as well :D haha
1:32 - Bucket seats are for cars to keep you in place when turning, not when you are using computers and sit still. It is just for aesthetics. Don't get me wrong, I do think they look nice but not for comfort.
1:42 - I cross my legs often therefore tried to find a nice, large chair that can support crossing my legs. I bought the Aerocool Project 7 GC1 gaming chair. This is not a bucket seat. It has a high back with side head cushions and large cushion to sit on. (Thought might be like an airplane headrest where you can rest your head on the sides)
I can sit cross legged but after 1 year, didn't know you meant to "look after" the PU leather, and it started to crack. Now it really worn with bits of PU leather all over the floor. Now looking for a new seat :(
One thing I don't like about some gaming seats, is the recliner. While you can put the back rest down flat horizontal and they say you won't fall, still...while the large large legs and wheels might keep the centre of gravity sort of in the centre, to keep you from falling backwards and wheels rolling forward on floor while that is happening, if you lay flat and nothing happens, the "Feeling" is there that one little move you do such as turn to the side, move up a bit, might then put off the centre of gravity causing you to fall and injure yourself therefore not really lying there comfortably when you got that thought in your head .."is this safe?...my upper body is heavier and centre of gravity is off to the side...am I going to fall? "
I had a leather office chair once and that recliner was joined to the seat so when you tilt, it only goes 45 deg and centre of gravity stays in centre so was much more comfortable to relax knowing you won't fall. :)
399$
I have the Chair, it is probably one of my best investments (not for the meme)
We can put the $ sign before the numbers you know
"We can ...."
Yea but many people don't do it because it's stupid.. or do you speak out "Dollar" before the number? Like for an example.. "Oh, does this really cost dollar 399??" .. America is just trying to be extra.. but they're just stupid. Same with MM/DD/YY no one want to know the Month date first when he's asking "what Date do we have today?", because everyone should know in which MONTH he is right now.. forgetting the exact Day is tolerable. So it should be DD/MM/YY .. the most important first. But America can't or don't want to understand that.
So let other people write it how they think it's correct. Because america is definitely one of the few ones on the planet who is not doing it correct.
lennexs dumb channel 399$
Jk to trigger you

Love this new format David
As a dxracing chair owner I can say these issues are very very specific and only effect a very minimal percentage of people so just like everything in life you gotta pay to play
I use a Lancia Delta Mk.2 Recaro seat that i soldered on my Playseat armature.
If i could forget height adjustment, it's the perfect chair to me.
