Thanks, Michael. We are working on this now in my course and I'll share this video with my students. I like the tip about listening to a podcast about animals and business!
Thank you very much porf! I am about to take the test like 20 days later, and just now have I seen your video. It is really helpful! let's see the result afterward!
Thank you, Michael! I had one week to prepare for my first TOEFL test and I did it based on your videos. Just got the results: 106! (L: 29 S: 22; R: 37, W: 38). Thank you so much for your help!
Thank you for your detailed instruction!!! I got enough score to meet the entrance requirement on last Saturday's test, only referring to your templates and tutorials for S & W sections (both 25) with minimal practice. I got to know your website from a senior student and I will definitely recommend your video to more people!
Your videos have been really helpful for my TOEFL class. I’m always looking for new sample speaking questions since we’ve exhausted a lot of the existing material out there. Where did this one come from? Any new ones out there? Thank you!
I made it. For what it's worth, I will record the lecture and upload it and the reading to a separate website, so you will be able to use it in the future. Same with the question I made for the second speaking task. There are a few type one questions over here: www.toeflresources.com/speaking-section/toefl-speaking-samples/
Hello Michael, first of all thank you for your videos, they have been of tremendous help! I had a doubt. I came across a few sample questions for speaking Q3 where the question focuses on only a part if the material we read or heard. In such a case, do we dedicate all our 60s to focus on the topic specifically asked or do we still summarize all the information that was given in the text and audio?
Dear Michael Thank you so much for the valuable information you gave... I secured a good score in my toefl speaking section and You are one of the reason for it Once again thank you so much 🤩
Are you talking about speaking three? There is no argument. The lecture does not oppose the reading. It simply provides an example of what was mentioned in the reading.
Hi thanks for the video! I have a question. Almost in every speaking practice test that i found online, there is only 1 example in question 3. Where can i find decent practice tests similar to real test?
I have a question, on the independent writing task, for example good idea question, can I write that I have mixed opinions or should I hold only one side?
@@Toeflresources Thanks, Michael. Just one last question. In the writing section, is there a button there to hit submit at the end of the time limit or it automatically submits for you? I know this is a speaking part you discussed but maybe you know, too the writing section. Thanks as always.
Hi Mr. Michael, could you please tell me the maximum point per task in the speaking that we can get??? ETS cut the number of questions down to 4 so I have no idea
Well, the human raters give you a score between 0 and 4. The SpeechRater gives you a mystery score. Since the total score is 30, and there are four questions I guess we can say that each question is worth 7.5 points.
What is the total number of speaking questions? It seems that question 4 from 2019 Guide matches question 3 from 2021 guide. It will mean a lot if you can comment on this.
Thank you so much for a wonderful video. Can you quickly check my hook for independent writing hook sentence? “As everything in life is like a coin that has two different sides, people must weigh pros and cons before approaching to a conclusion. After all, each and every topic or question requires scrupulous deliberations in that there are always multiple variables to a truth”.
That isn't very good because it is totally memorized. I prefer a broad hook that includes some real content that is specific to the prompt itself. Check out the guide for more: www.toeflresources.com/writing-section/toefl-independent-writing-section/
I can't thank you enough for all the hard work you put in to help others. I really appreciate your lectures and again thank you so much.

The best Toefl teacher ever
Thanks for the kind words. :)
Michael, I would never get tired of saying Thank You for your wonderful explanations and useful templates! You are the best TOEFL instructor!
Wow, thank you! I am so happy to have helped!
@@Toeflresources Thank you again!
Glad, I found this channel. Very kind of you to share this, thank you! Wish me luck for my TOEFL test!
Best of luck! When will it happen?!

I'm glad you like it! I suppose I ought to upload 2023 versions pretty soon. :)
@@Toeflresources yeah but not much has changed from as far as I can tell. Just change the thumbnail and edit out the year ! Thanks

Very nice teaching

Hello Michael. Thanks a lot for your elaborate explanation. What tense should Iuse throughout the answer? Or, can I use different tenses?
Different tenses depending on what you are saying!
Thank you for the clear explanation. Can I know where I can download the audio files for this kind of task 3?

You are brilliant sir, but what is the importance of a reading passage when we still have a listening lecture to talk on?
I don't quite understand your question.
Hello Michael, first of all thank you for your videos, they have been of tremendous help! I had a doubt. In such a case, do we dedicate all our 60s to focus on the topic specifically asked or do we still summarize all the information that was given in the text and audio?
Well, I can't really imagine an example of what you are describing... but basically you should focus on what you are asked for.
Hey!
Will there be a 2021 video for the 4th Speaking task? Or should I stick to older videos?
Thank you so much!
The old version is fine. I will probably make a 2021 video, but no one really watches these anymore. :)
@@Toeflresources I do 😁

Excellent! I'm so happy to have helped a bit. What's next for you?
Is it necessary to change the words in the definition of the concept?
I don't think so.
may i know the likelihood of the lecture opposes the reading? for example: in official guide 6th edition, test 1.
Are you talking about speaking three? There is no argument. The lecture does not oppose the reading. It simply provides an example of what was mentioned in the reading.
Hi Micheal , is it necessary to read all the reading ? I'm thinking to focus more on the term definition and taking proper notes
I think you should read it. The definition might be at the beginning, or even at the end. You never know until you've read the whole thing.
Hi thanks for the video! I have a question. Almost in every speaking practice test that i found online, there is only 1 example in question 3. Where can i find decent practice tests similar to real test?
I think there are some in the official books from ETS.
Hi Michael, do we have time to write template when instructions screen is present, before the reading pops up?
Maybe. I guess it depends on how fast you can write.
should I start from the beginning of the speaking playlist to learn the speaking section?
Nah. Just watch all of the 2021 videos.
I have a question, on the independent writing task, for example good idea question, can I write that I have mixed opinions or should I hold only one side?
You should pick a side.
Hi, Michael! Can I take down notes while reading the passage and while the dialogue or lecture is being played?
Yes but not with pen or pencil only marker
You can take notes whenever you want on the test.
@@Toeflresources Thanks, Michael. Just one last question. In the writing section, is there a button there to hit submit at the end of the time limit or it automatically submits for you? I know this is a speaking part you discussed but maybe you know, too the writing section. Thanks as always.
@@espeel9057 There is a button to submit. But if you don't press the button your essay will automatically be submitted when time runs out.
Thank you!!!

Thank you sir ^^, that would help a lot for my preparation
Do we need to paraphrase the lecture or it is ok to use them directly?
Paraphrasing will help you score higher. Just learn synonymes.
I think you should paraphrase at least a little bit.
can you upload speaking question 4 2021
I've lost interest in making new videos, but I think the 2020 version is still good enough.
I am waiting for Speaking Part 4 2021
Should be available in about a month. I am working on the sample question now, which always takes a long time.
What is the total number of speaking questions? It seems that question 4 from 2019 Guide matches question 3 from 2021 guide. It will mean a lot if you can comment on this.
Four questions.

but this is very long it took me more than 60 seconds to just read it, i think it should be shorter
The sample is meant to represent a "perfect" answer, which requires a fairly quick speaking pace.
What bothers me is that you're bombarded with so much info in these exams
I agree. :(
