This Meccan chapter takes its name from the story of the people of the cave in verses 9-26. The chapter tells four unique stories dealing with different fitna types (test from Allah). It is the sunnah of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to recite this surah every Friday, to remind ourselves of these tests and how to stay firm on the straight path when faced with such trials.

As many times i am watching this ,those many times i am feeling something so called a strange kind of happiness about being muslim.. Alhamdulillah..Crying and smiling at the same time..
i just read the ayah at 5:10 closely, even thouh i dont understand arabic fully but what a beautiful writing. Quran is a miracle

Al-Khidr didn’t decide to do this on his own. This was part of Allah’s plan. Allah decides when and how we die. This was all part of Allah’s lesson to prophet Moses (pbuh)

Why didn’t Allah guide the young boy instead of killing him? Also, if the parents were true believers, their son wouldn’t be able to misguide them. As a new muslim, i have a lot of questions. Could someone explain to me?

Allah knows best and has a plan for everyone. Only He knows when its best to continue someone's life and when to take it away. A young child that dies goes to Jannah. Perhaps if he had grown old he would have been a disbeliever and would have brought heart ache and bad influence to his family. Allahu A'lam as He is the All-Knowing & the Most Wise.

Just wanted to clarify your explanation in the first story about the person went to buy something and he realised the money that he bought with him was useless that is not true, because that money was gold and it was more valuable

He did because Allah commanded him to do so
Indeed there are many things that only Allah knows
To protect his parents and from him when he grows up and push his parents away from Allah's worship and disbelief. Allah wanted this boy to be replaced by one who would be
