Yes. I am from Newtown, specifically Sandy Hook district of old. I had tiny family members in that school at the time. My cousins grandchildren. 4 of them. They were not physical victims of that massacre, but as freshman-seniors in college, that ultra, hyper alertness has never left them. Ironically, their parents, my cousins sons, are Trumpublicans. I cannot fathom that their, now college age children are.

I'm voting Harris, too, but this "slip" about the break-in and her gun is so obviously a set up and 100% intentional. Oprah lobbed up the hanging pitch and Kamala reached for it. For one thing Kamala had been using this line for weeks now and she's first said it in the 2020 campaign--it's supposed to be off-the-cuff but it's a managed play. Whether it works or comes off as phony to 'undecided gun-owners', who knows? I guess the strategists have done their homework.

There are Americans who have never left their state let alone the country. But for those of us who have lived in dictatorships, it is not all rosy. January 6th was a coup and no matter how some folks try to sanitize the event of that day it is a coup and in Third World country Trump and those who participated in it would have been executed. As a child most of my family was Republican. I never felt anything wrong about that growing up until George Bush. However, Trump has seriously made me sad for my family and friends who still support it. Many of them are hurt by his policies. The only thing I notice among all of them is they are haters. They like hating on liberals and enjoy the chaos it brings. Democrats are forced to deal with this lunacy and there's no easy way to do it.
The party has lost its way because it has not only tolerated but embraced and enabled bigots, racists, authoritarians and christofascists. The gop has fed the monster until it has grown too strong to be controlled.

I’m sorry you were duped so terribly. As one who closely followed politics since I was 18 in 1991, this slide with republicans had been happening my entire early adulthood. The lies, dog-whistling, division all to get blue collar white working class and middle class to give up their social safety net-by claiming only lazy folks (read black and brown Americans) used and abused the programs. Trump was able to take over so easily bc the groundwork with Fox and other demagoguery had already been laid. I live in 🇨🇦 and my brother has guns. He has an AR 15 (I'm not thrilled about it) however he had to go through some serious scrutiny and a 3 month with period. The government checked with his wife, Dr and employer. He has storage and safety requirements and all guns are stored in a metal cabinet under double lock.
You can have your guns - but you need to be safe about it.
We shouldn't assume that winning the Electoral College will be enough, but also consider how Trump could trigger a Contingent Election.

As a Brit, I'd never heard of Dom Lemon, but what a nice, decent guy. The bit about the small white casket and his realisation that he couldn't take any more and could walk away, but the child's parents couldn't, for them it was a life sentence, moved me to tears. America needs far more people like him.
He used to be on US tv, then Musk wanted him to do a show on Twatsphere, so he let him interview him first. Then Musk cancelled the show and censored Lemon by setting his cult on him for asking tough questions.

I strongly suspect that the republicans are going to gain 1 of Maryland's 2 seats in the Senate as Hogan is wildly loved here. Apparently, they're neck and neck with the Democratic nominee, but it's going to be super close. I think that it'll be in his favor :/

No. He most certainly is not a hero, at all. He was a big part of what has devastated Ukraine, deaths of thousands of innocent citizens, and empowering the fascist repub party to be open and aggressive in destroying our democracy. Even when the rapist loses we will be embroiled in their take over plot of not certifying the election, as they have done since 2020 in all states. Lev is a criminal who happily brought about the ruin of our system for money and power. What he did is absolutely unforgivable.

There is a saying that I used when my kids were growing up (as in toddlers), and it went a little something like this. Kids demand attention at times whether it is positive or negative, and that's how I see Trump behaving, just like the foot stomping toddler who doesn't get their own way! So the best way was to praise the good and ignore the bad!! So, not responding to Trump will drive him to become more unhinged!! Best advice to Trump... just keep on talking!!💙

I do phone banking for the Democratic Party and one night the people were Trumpers and what they said to me was terrible. I went to bed crying that night. They didn’t care what happened to any of us, they just wanted tax cuts and one was a Dr.

I'm an introvert so I can't make myself do phone calls. I think you're very brave to do it! Instead, I'm writing 600 Postcards to Swing States and 100 for local candidates this year! Last election I only wrote 400. I also put registration flyers on all the doors in my Senior complex and help anyone who is interested in decoding the tricky language of the Propositions on the ballot. I research everything! 😂💙💙
