As a newbie about to invest, you must have these three things in mind
    1. Have a long term mindset.
    2. Be willing to take risk.
    3. Be careful on money usage, if you're not spending to earn back, then stop spending.
    4. Never claim to know - Ask questions and it's best you work with a financial advisor

    Great video Ben!
This is just the video I needed! I used to have a 6+ figure job so as a beginner Im trading with so much risk no experience in the market and revenge trading and FOMO. Not really caring about loosing a couple hundred here and there and that mentality is so bad for a beginner. I’m scaling back my size until I get in 100-200 trades and know what works for me. Just playing the $2 and $5 micros. The winners aren’t as big but the losses are much more manageable.

Bro 1000% correct when you are in fight or flight mode emotionally you will never make logical sense of any information in front of you. You will start to ask yourself questions and your brain will try to find answers for them questions which will confuse you to pieces. You will doubt all your trading plan and routine goes out the window. I myself need to journal and follow routine whatever happens as long as your plan works the right percentage of the times stick to it as losses are part of the job. Thanks bro we need reminding of what really makes a trader successful.

I didn't think it was be as useful as it is but I actually like to add my daily entries into my logs once it's part of your daily routine it's easy and worthwhile. Even if your already a profitable trader this can still give you insight you may overlook otherwise. *P.S please ban any accounts with "pinned by" in the username, that will take care of the scammers new naming technique just like this guy that commented above here.

I record every trade I take in a fairly comprehensive spreadsheet but I don't track emotions or any of that. I guess I'm just not a very emotional trader (or person). I don't take trades based on how I feel. The setup either complies with my rules or it doesn't. Since I always know the probabilities before I enter any trade the outcome doesn't really matter since I know the math is the math.

I'm quite a good scalper.... 3 steps forward..... 5 steps back.... BIGGEST MISTAKE.... ONLY MISTAKE.. Failing to cut losers before they turn into BIG losses. Thinking I have the trade right (because I do so often).. and convinced it will come back and bail me out (because it does a lot)... and it creeps into a GIANT LOSS, wiping out 2 weeks of trading. I did it just this week. If I had just cut all my losing trades to $100 loss, I'd have profit for the year... oh yeah... and cutting small winners short, when I cold have doubled profit. I know that's not really scalping if I hold, but I did that this week too. I told my coworkers buy AAPL puts on market open friday... I did, and took my tiny scalp only to see that I could have 4x my profit.... DUMB!!
