  • Living St. Louis producer Patrick Murphy takes a behind-the-scenes tour of the Fox Theatre in St. Louis. Built in 1929 as one of the last great movie palaces, the Fox is filled with rooms, nooks and crannies not usually seen by the public. Now a home for Broadway shows, musical performances and other concerts, the Fox is an architectural wonder, and a living, working monument to the history of show biz.

Bravo Fox! I went here as a kid with my Mom to see movies way back in the 60's. Good times.

BEAUTIFUL Theater! It has AMAZING acoustics! Listen to any of the Wicked Defying Gravity clips captured here, and the orchestra and whichever Elphaba is performing, sound outstanding! Truly one of America's great theaters!

I had the privilege of seeing A Christmas Carol here back in what I think was 2003? I came with my school's band to see it. It is an experience I never forgot and I would love to come here again. Thank you Fox Theatre!

Such great childhood memories of this place! Some Saturdays the FOX would give out the first 100 balcony seats for free. We had to get up early & get in line. That is how my family got to see a lot of great musicals! My favorite one of all was "42nd Street"! Tap dancing on the big coins was just awesome to me as a kid. This will always be one of my favorite places in STL that will be dear to my heart. Thank You FOX!

I have had the chance to both go up into the dome and into the basement for the air handlers and all the way up on the roof for the cooling towers. It was for a company I used to work for some years ago. I’ve also seen all of the bands, actors and artist signatures on the back stage walls. It was a really cool experience!!

I was lucky enough to see "Jelly's Last Jam" and Ziggy Marley open up for the Neville Brothers at the Fox Theatre. Both shows were amazing and the décor is the golden 1920s, magnificent.

I'm going there tonight to see in The Heights... .I haven't been there in years, and am really excited. I think the last show I saw there was Beauty in the Beast sometime in the 90's
