Not surprisingly, you have once again demonstrated a logical and systematic approach to a specific yet, very common segment of bass knowledge. My first few years of getting back into music, I spent a lot of time/energy putting these pieces of the puzzle together by scouring videos and reading. I hope many many more musicians discover your channel and appreciate how valuable your content is. Happy Holidays Dan!
I've been working on my arpeggios, and after seeing this scale harmony diagram, I now have a better understanding of the modes thing. Thank you for adding that in the diagram. I'm always learning something from you.
I give you many thanks sir. I'm a nut about learning arpeggios/triads and this is one of the best lessons I've seen on this subject. I can't thank you enough for the pdf's. I'm unable to pay online so I have get good info where I can. Love that old Ibanez btw.
Dan, I have downloaded a few of your lessons and are working on them. I just wanted to let you know that you are one of the best bass teachers out there. Thanks so much.
Thanks for your great lessons, I've been having so much fun going through them and playing along. Do you have any recommendations on how to improve my technique / speed of playing these arpeggios? I see myself improving just playing through these harmonized scales, but I'm wondering if there's any magical exercises that would target the speed of my pinky finger or me playing at the top of the fret?
Thanks for the support! I do have a few speed exercises/lessons if you search on my site. Start with this one: ruclips.net/video/Y6pQVPpBhEY/видео.htmlsi=oapVjmeu4X_lcvxn.
Man, I´m really surprised how you approach the concepts to explain them, make it useful for begginers but there´s always something useful for those that are not. There´s a lot of good playing around the globe but your didactical skills and optimized approach it´s quite a thing. Congratulations for this channel. I´ll be enrolled in one of your courses soon enough!
That’s a really nice thing to say - thanks so much. It’s often difficult for me to know how to pitch a lesson and what pace and level to aim at. I don’t always get it right but I try! 🙏🙏
Love these drills so much but could you show your left hand more clearly so the notes are shown and 5he finger positions. Your fingers fly so fast! Thanks!
@@OnlineBassCourses thank you for replying! i’ve been trying, but can’t find anything specifically on all of these. i’ll keep searching though, im sure it’s there somewhere
😂 thanks for that comment. The horrible fact is that clickbait titles do work. But I hate them! Titles are actually an art on RUclips and I definitely haven’t mastered them yet… 🙏🙏
@@OnlineBassCourses you do have great titles, I guess its a must if you want to standout in this endless stream of bass videos. But I must say that as a self taught, your videos have been essential for me. Both to help me understand music theory and upgrade my bass playing skills, but also for something more important; you give me purpose to keep learning. When you have no clear direction as the where to go, its sometimes hard to keep playing. You channel is an absolute gem for serious bass players.
@@OnlineBassCourses I mean it ! Well any type of video about groove is always welcomed, I know you already did some, but groove is one of these things that is very hard to get down, I think if you came up with some videos about swung 16th note and other type of rythmic stuff it would be great. Also I love your serie of video breaking down a bassline, explaining what makes it great, how to play it et
7th triads were a real game changer that helped me put the whole fret board together and has transformed my playing.
As I've said before - hardest working man on RUclips... 50k is coming soon.
Thanks for the support 🙏👍
Dan, you are clear and concise --an excellent combination and much appreciated by myself
Thanks - appreciate that!
one of the most helpful video lessons I've ever watched in 8 years
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah, this simple idea of root notes moving up one string. It's so obvious it made my head spin. So awesome.

Great advice to build a solid arpeggio (s) skill set. Nice work, Dan.💥💯💥
