The New Towns Development Authority (NTDA), an agency of the Lagos State Government, has recently announced the launch of three new schemes in the Epe-Ibeju Lekki axis. Among these initiatives are the Epe Mixed Development Scheme and the Labour Scheme, which collectively aim to transform the region into a vibrant hub of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. However, the acquisition of 7,781 hectares of land for the first scheme raises significant concerns for existing property owners in the area.
The NTDA's objective in launching these schemes is to facilitate urban growth and improve living conditions in Lagos State. The Epe-Ibeju Lekki axis has been identified as a prime area for development due to its strategic location and potential for economic expansion. The Epe Mixed Development Scheme is designed to create a balanced community that integrates housing, business, and leisure, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for residents.
While the vision for development is commendable, the reality for many property owners in the affected areas is more complex. The acquisition of 7,781 hectares of land means that numerous individuals and families may face the loss of their properties

Very informative video. Thank you. I just bought a land in Odomola Epe. I did my due diligence before buying and I was told it's free from government encumbrances. Do you think this new development would affect Odomola area as well ? I will appreciate your response. Thank you
