I have loved this man for since 1972 I was 12 years old. Bad finger and Todd Rundgren were the badass best! They saved my life mentally you know the crap you go through when you're about that age with a shity stepfather and culture shock... Moving from a beautiful state to the border of Mexico... This guy has it still very handsome through and through the best he's got it all! The music absolutely phenomenal!! The talent of this guy is just something else! And the generousness of him and his wife are the best! And he just keeps on getting more handsome and more handsome everything he thinks shows through to his physical being very good entity! He is very very loved
71 years old followed and loved the great Todd Rundgren. wouldnt have made any difference, I think not. that depth of emotion and feeling unsurpassed. still deeply affects my soul. listen to Todd with the amsterdam orchestra. Genius, makes me cry.
I met him. So kind. Great artist.
I've lived in Manhattan and LA for a decade each, and I don't get star-struck ever, I don't care how famous the person is. However, I know if I ever accidentally cross paths with this man on one of my visits to Kau'i I'm going to go straight into the ugly cry and be one of "those people" who melt down when they see someone "famous" that they respect.
Now, I have ZERO interest in his fame...and only love his beautiful, heartfelt lyrics and kind moral character. That is what will make me turn into one of those scary, quasi-insane, desperately overwhelmed fans that I've so often rolled my eyes at in the grocery store...or the gym or the farmer's market...when I observe a fan going bonkers over seeing someone "famous" (and it is almost always a tourist, not a resident of one of those cities).
Yep, I fear I'm going to be that sobbing, overwhelmed person that I have never been. lol
So happy for you that you got to meet him and, more importantly, that he was as kind in person as his music and lyrics portray him to be.

Compared to his normal stance, Todd is almost expressive here. He's amazingly talented. But it is understandable why he is normally very guarded. His nature is reserved, and he has had a difficult life. Still, he continues to record, create, perform and produce. Whether you like some, all or none of his music, he deserves respect. As for me, I like some of his music. I've seen him live once(First Utopia tour in 1973 or 1974) I have quite a number of his albums in my collection.

It's my understanding that he wants no part in it? Why do you want this for someone who doesn't respect or value this institution?
I suspect you fail to understand what the Rock n Roll HOF is all about, and it's not fan-driven.
@leth2753 You are a little late with your reply. He's now in, and I'm happy about it. He deserves to be there, and it will help increase his profile, and after he is gone, it will hopefully help keep his important contributions to music alive. Todd said himself that he's happy for the fans. One other point. Todd's good friend Patti Smith inducted him. If Todd truly wanted nothing to do with it I'm quite sure he would have discouraged her from doing it. He even offered to make a video appearance from the show he was doing the night of the induction. I'm fully aware of how the HOF works. I really don't care what you suspect.

Actually his first group was the Nazz, all Philly based. “Runt” wasn’t really a band per se, but how he marketed himself for his first solo album

I followed Todd for decades. He lost me in 2016 on his Trump rant when he told Republicans not to come to his shows. I followed that advice
I’m with you on that 100%. I supported him for 45+ years and he turns on half his loyal fan base. At first, it was just you may not enjoy the concert if you support Trump. Then it got really nasty. What a massively inflated Douche. Btw, his music of the last 25 years sucks
