I can see where Priddy is coming from, as much as rap is a young man's sport, to be really successful in this thing your gonna have to take time with it.
A sample is pretty much a taking a small portion of something that is already there, either you study it or you re-use it on to make something else its called sampling. It doesn't have to be a looped beat or making an instrumental with someone's voice, basically him reusing some portions from a previous verse he had done before is what he meant.
