"Angels" - A Call and Response Hymn

- As a reminder of the Most High God's promise, that "He will give His Angels Charge over you", The Lyrics of this song "Angels" were written and set to an old familiar Call-and-Response melody. I'm old enough to have experienced this type of congregational singing; the "a cappella," hand-clapping, foot-stomping, soul-stirring singing that was the norm in the Baptist Church's I grew up in.
What I didn't know, at that time, was that this style of music was passed on to us by our ancestors and we were just doing what came naturally to us.
FUN FACT: The last church photo in the video, 'Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church" was the church I publicly accepted Yahshua as my Savior, and was baptized in many years ago. It was in that very building. All Praises to the Most High!

I am a retired army warrant officer (2004)...still serving in God's Army...I play this song on the outside speakers of our church and the veterans, military, and ROTC students march into the church all fired up for the Lord!

She was the proof that African Americans have exemplified a bounce-back spirit that is fundamentally American by believing that change is going to come, even in the worst of circumstances. this reminds me of growing up in Louisiana and going to Evergreen Baptist church. The whole congregation singing as if God himself was sitting with us.. The spirit they carried will soon be a distant memory. I miss my great grandmother and the rest of my elders who have passed or almost home with the lord. They either in they 80s-90s-100s now. I'm talkin that REAL!! Makes me wanna cry

This is where the military cadences from the army came from. The African division called the Buffalo soldiers did this and the other branches heard it and started doing it then other countries heard US doing it now all over the planet they do it.
