      Hey thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback. I get wrapped up so much in the new stuff, that I end up skipping a lot of basics, and made this series to help introduce some of the concepts. I dont always have a good idea if it is helpful or not, so i really do appreciate you saying this. If there is any questions i can answer, or help in anyway let me know. Cheers - jon

    NIce video Jon. Chroma keying and audio are both good. Definitely F7 going forward for RPM filters, but for beginners RPM filters aren't worth trying yet. Anyone just getting into this hobby will likely smash and/or replace their F4 before the need for an F7 arises. :)

    Great informative video! I wanted to repurpose my old broken drone and make a RC plane, however the gyroscope in the drone flight controller is really messing with the motors as the plane orientation changes. for ex. if the plane tilts up the gyro tells 2 motors to turn of, etc etc. So I was wondering if there is any way to identify the gyro on the flight controller and remove it? and if I did manage to remove it would it interfere with any other functions? Thanks!

    First of all thank you so much for that down to earth break down of how this stuff is put together I'm still learning and you explain everything very well. I have a quick question and I'll understand if you laugh this is probably stupid but I love to tinker I have a bugs 3 mini that I absolutly love but I recently cooked one of the esc so its toast. I found a replacement 4 in 1 for it but it was expensive and I didnt trust the over seas seller to I just ordered a new one from Calif. But I have the old shell with 1306-2750 kv brushless motors and thought about maybe putting in a flight stack and making a frankinquad haha I don't really know where to get information like what speed and flight controller would work for the motors ect. the battery is optional.on the original its propriatary so I'll have to mount a new one Im sure the original is a 7.4 850mah 45c so I'f you or anyone has any advice I would appreciate it greatly.

      Hey thanks a lot for the feedback. I made this series, exactly for people to try to find somewhere to ask questions so I will do my best to answer.
      Most modern flight stacks will work with those motors. Keep in mind, if you use your own ESC and Flight controller, you may also need to provide your own reciever, if the one that is on the bugs is not compatible with your setup. Most of us use Frsky Radio's or the new Jumper Series (T16 model being the most popular).
      Then it would come down to if, you can fit the new hardware into the body of that bugs.
      Honestly, if i was in your shoes, i would hold on to that project for a bit. It is doable,but i would make that my 3rd or 4th build once you have more experience. Doing a fresh budget build may cost you a little more, but it will be much more straight forward, and many more resources out there to refer to. I have a video up on Concrete Quad, recently that is a budget racing setup, that you can build for about $160-170. (Can save about $20-25 going with a less expensive frame like the Source One).
      Once you have a few builds under you belt, you can start another new build, and move some of those bugs components over like the motors etc...

    What about the power supply board, where to connect and why it is needed

    Will you please suggest me a best flight controller for 5 inch frame. As i'm planning to build a budget fpv, please suggest me a good and cheap with all specs

    • @JonE5FPV
      @JonE5FPV  4 года назад

      Imo, the one i show in the video is my favorite to use., but any F4 flight controller is good. I just did a video on a budget racer, check out my Concrete Quad review from a couple weeks back. I have a build list in the description. Total cost is $175 on sale prices, or about $203 regular prices.

    i finally got a decent camera (foxeer arrow pro). where does the camera's OSD wire connect? same uart as smart audio?

    • @JonE5FPV
      @JonE5FPV  4 года назад

      Cam yellow, signal goes to the video input on FC. Then video out goes from the FC (a separate pad) to your vtx. Your FC’s onboard OSD chip adds the OSD to the video feed before it goes out to the vtx

    • @Gibson99
      @Gibson99 4 года назад

      @@JonE5FPV no, I mean the pin actually labeled OSD on the camera. Not vcc, ground or video, but actually OSD. Is that for the button board I've heard some cameras have, for changing settings in the camera like maybe exposure or colors or something?

    • @JonE5FPV
      @JonE5FPV  4 года назад

      Yes it is for the board that connects/plugs in to change settings.
