That silver AE86 is shown during the parking lot race between Sean’s red Evo & Morimoto’s 350z.
In one scene, Sean is drifting around a corner leading up to the top of the lot. A silver AE86 can be seen parked on the right, with matching paintjob to this Hot Wheels version

Definitely one of the biggest stretches since the yellow Civic Hatchback, but it's an awesome addition and I'm not gonna knock it. lol
Also the AE86 is the actual "drift king" Keiichi Tsuchiya's personal car.

I feel like the ones that get really upset are the scalpers. Doing repeats of a good idea because it gives more options for collectors.
I found my first sighting of the new set today. Two cases on pegs at a Walmart, all four Skylines were gone. Got some NSXs though. Went to another Walmart couple hours later, nothing on the pegs. I looked up on the top most shelf, saw some of the new Premium logo, and BAM!, two Skylines, NSXs, and the Cuda. I'm thinking I found an employee's "forgot to stock".

Got mine this morning two each of the good 4 and one of the ugly ford also probably being close to if not the last chance I found my third Toyota Prada chase and my fourth race day Porsche chase in a forgotten shipper that she brought out at Target
Yeah I found this set this morning. All except the skyline of course. Drove to 4 other Walmarts and finally found 2 skylines on the pegs. I got one, and left the other hopefully for another collector to grab
As someone who just started seriously collecting for the past year , I don’t mind having the repeats come out because I am getting older castings I didn’t have in new sets coming out.

The stance on the grey AE86 is pretty much perfect.
I’m a fan of the Trueno. I have them all minus Initial D. This casting is clean and timeless.

Super clean releases - some repeats yeah, but like you mention they are all nice versions of the cars, so I’m sure they’ll sell regardless. Also what I like about the card art is it shows the cars from their actual scenes’ settings from the movie they were featured in. Like the Trueno is seen during the parking garage scene in Tokyo Drift, the NSX is pictured driving down the desert road from the end of Fast and Furious (4) etc. Nice touch so that the rereleases are different from the firsts in that aspect.

AE86 Trueno from Mountain Drifters series is amazing!
AE86 in the Advan livery is looking really good, in the Falken livery it is excessively awesome.
Yeah, I picked up the A86 and a skyline myself today I almost got an NSX, but the clear acetate sleeve that they put to “” protect the windshield. I think it actually damages the windshield believe it or not, because ended up passing on the one they had on the shelf at Walmart I couldn’t tell whether it was a scuff in the windshield if it was just a defect in that plastic protective sleeve, but I wasn’t going to take a chance for nearly 7 dollars. I mean it was a beautiful, looking car and I really like the black with the red interior but with the red interior you’re gonna be drawn to looking at that windshield, and with the curvature of that windshield on the NSX it was just gonna make you really focus on the scuff if it was there, so wasn’t a chance I was gonna take and I was just glad to find the R 32 because as I’ve heard that One is going to be hard to find. Rightfully so because they actually did do a very nice job. I’m hoping that they will carry on the quality of the casting with the 33 and 34.
I love the repeats because I just started collecting. I'm a year & one month in now so there's plenty of cars I clearly missed out on & now I have a chance at acquiring them 👌

Not F&F related, but I'd love to see Ken Block's RS200. Not sure why Mattel and Hoonigan haven't collaborated.
That Silver 86T came from Tokyo Drift, this car’s is iconic.
Mark Jones version AE86 Sprinter Trueno is one of the calmer looking JDMs that I really love. I only have my mainlines, and that white Boulevard version. but I do have the 2006 First Editions, cuz I really like that first version. It even showed up in the HW Drift 5 Pack. The Ford RS is alright. I know it's a Ford but I don't consider it muscle at all. It's a nice rally car. I only have the i.d. version and I'm good with that one.

If you look at the Toyota AE86 long enough , it resembles a 1974 mustang 2 cobra hatch back.
finally heard lamley say that hotwheels already has a watanabe for the AE 86... hopefully hotwheels make a license to produce the AE86 panda
Tell Mattel to STOP cost cutting on putting some chrome wheels on a lot of premium HotWheels, We are paying “premium price” for HotWheels now so tell them to put a Damn 1¢ in to some chrome wheels on these premium models that should have had it, It’s like the BMW from the last set in F&F 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

The repeats are nice
The Cuda was the only one with any kind of sponsorship decals and sticks out a bit among the set, I feel like the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody may have fit the "clean" look of the set better, and stayed with the theme of only the Trueno and RS200 being white and silver.
It's fancy that Mattels so need to rerun old casts that they use them as replicas from f&f 1 frame (literally) scenes:
Skyline was from that funereal episode parked on the background

R32 Best Version is 10 BOX SET because it has SKYLINE Words that big DETAIL missing on premium a mid/sliver line is better then GOLD/High for detail

Not really a fan of repeats and truthfully this really isn't a good mix unless you like the new castings in it but for me the only casting I would want is the plymouth aar Cuda nothing else in set I would even consider getting
John never watches movies, much less fast and furious movies.
Hot Wheels has made some good castings, I just can't stand the poor quality printing on the graphics and the cheap plastic wheels. For the amount these cars cost, we should get plated or at least painted wheels and more detailed graphics.
I guess in the hot wheels universe they only created four types of rims that are used on all their cars which sucks by the way. Until they start making new rims I won't be wasting anymore money.
