The best part is when he points at the box of cigars on the screen with a sausage in his hand. Genius 😂

I only just found out that Wong's first name is Benedict.
It's just sheer comedy genius, no other way to put it. If I'd even been able to come up with something as funny and crazy as the cigar/sausage joke, never in a million years would I have thought to have the sausage packet also change to a nice cigar box, with little labels on the saucigars even. It's just icing on the cake and it kills me every time. And the little offhand "something to do with the lenses or something" at the end... solid gold

Couldn’t agree more! It’s absolutely first class comedy gold, it doesn’t get any better than this. Every single line in the whole sketch is perfect.

He absolutely nailed this! However I must say the actual ‘masterclass’ that Caine did was really very good
The fact that in the back of shot, his posture and gaze is the spit of Italian Job Caine is incredible

His impression of Michael Caine has only gotten better over the years as well.
It's a great parody of those original "Michael Caine acting on screen" programs that were made in the 1980s. Good touches as well - with the black leather jacket(which Caine actually wore in those programs) and also his gold Rolex watch.
The original Masterclass is legendary and Peter is clearly a huge fan.

Funny how TV cameras don't make cigars look like sausages but movie cameras do. It's either that or Caine is holding a sausage at the start of the show and the audience are all just playing along. If that was the case then the later scene is actually much more layered than I originally pictured.

Fun fact. Wong didn't actually have sausages in his bag. But, not wanting to let Michael down, he created a portal inside the bag, to the local butcher's shop and grabbed a pack out of the fridge.
Brydon and Coogan fight over whose is best, but theirs are heavily caricatured, Peters is more genuinely subtle
